Elk Creek Retreat is a brand new two bedroom (both master bedrooms), two bath cabin on a rushing trout stream and 8 acres. If you are looking for a stream side cabin you will not find a better location anywhere. Elk Creek Retreat is located on Elk Creek which has excellent trout fishing, is a State stocked trout stream, and is rated as the second cleanest stream in all of North Carolina. Open the windows and fall asleep to the sound of the stream which runs directly behind the cabin. Amenities include hot tub, Wi-Fi, fireplace, grill, outdoor fire pit, and plenty of decking that overlooks the stream. The location is convenient to both Boone and Blowing Rock both within about a 25 minute drive.

The cabin was very clean and comfortable, everything is so well thought out and cared for. My husband and I brought our dog for a week of relaxation, hiking, and peace. The creek behind the cabin is really special and a great spot to cool off after a day of hiking. There was plenty of space and it was so easy to cook meals and relax at the cabin, we will definitely be back!

We love staying at this cabin. This was our 4th time staying here. It’s is a beautiful property. Nicely located on elk creek. Very private. Nicely situated to relax and go fishing. Cabin is well stocked and very clean. Has a nice front porch and covered deck in the back with hot tub to relax. Highly recommend.

This place is exceptional. It is far enough from civilization and close to Boone, West Jefferson and Beech Mountain. The place is brand new with high end appliances. The creek is right outside the deck. Large grassy areas surrounded by green mountains. Gorgeous. The house has every basic stuff you need. Just bring your own food.

The cabin was amazing! Perfect for my husband, our 8 & 4 year old boys & myself. Nice porches, hot tub, clean, & well maintained yard. Beds were comfortable as well as couch. We played in the creek everyday. Honestly our boys could have stayed outside in the creek the whole time. About 30 minutes to get to Boone, the road is gravel in some spots closer to the cabin but they are very well maintained. We will definitely be staying here again! We visit this area 2-3 times a year & this was perfect for us!

This is the 3rd time we have rented from them. We usually rent the house next door with the red roof but they didn’t have anything available on the dates we were looking for so we rented the house next to that which is this house! Always an amazing stay. Super clean, relaxing, and my 13 year old and my 16 year old enjoy every minute of it! Looking forward to our 4th stay next year!!

The cabin was beautiful and well maintained. Enjoyed the view of Elk Creek and the sound of the running water. Made use of the hot tub while enjoying the view. I had no luck trout fishing, but wading the stream was fun.

Cabin was immaculate and cozy. The creek was amazing! We found lots of salamanders and frogs out on the rocks, so if that's your thing, this is the place for you! The hot tub was a great feature after long hikes around the area. Check in/out was super easy. No reception but there's a phone line and wifi should you need it. We had a blast!

The cabin was amazing. It was in great location and the stream was easily accessible. Loved everything about the cabin. The only issues we had were that there were quite a few flies and gnats inside the house, none of the soap dispensers by the 3 sinks had soap in them (in fact one just had water in it), and just as an FYI for future guests, shower accessories like shampoo/conditioner/body wash/extra TP are not included. The linens/towels were clean and plentiful, the bed was comfortable, there was Dawn and Laundry Detergent which was nice as we ended up using the washer after spending the evening by the fire pit. One other thing to note, we forgot to bring wood for the fire pit and wood is not provided. There was a number to call to get wood delivered but when we called it, the poor guy who answered said he was too old to deliver wood and that he has not done that in years. Don't let any of this deter anyone though-we would totally stay here again!

Private, Clean, and Quiet. The beds were amazing, the kitchen has everything you need to eat in, excellent gas grill, the deck over looks the stream and we especially loved the picnic table and hot tub on the deck. Everything you need for a quiet get away to also unplug. Pet friendly and we loved the large deck for our fur babies to hang out. The owner was super. Thanks Bill for making our trip amazing.
