★ Description ★

This Charming Comfy log sided getaway in a peaceful setting with creek is located in Fleetwood, NC between Boone and West Jefferson( in about 15-20 minutes!) and the Blue Ridge Parkway, you will feel like you are in a tree house, but with all the comforts of home. While the cabin setting will surround you with trees and mountain wildlife, our state-maintained gravel.

★ The Area ★

The surrounding area offers activities on the New River, catch & release fishing, hiking along the Blue Ridge Parkway, golf at a fantastic & affordable public course and agri-tourism farms where you can see where baby Christmas trees are grown and where apples, pumpkins, honey and more are farmed by local experts.

★ The space ★

Enjoy beautiful hardwood floors throughout the upper level, which holds the kitchen, dining room, living room and a half bath. From there, step out onto the large deck that runs the length of the house, where you can cook out on the full-size, propane grill or just sit and soak in the view of one of the ridges that mark the Eastern Continental Divide. It’s a great spot to listen to the creek that literally springs out of the ground just a few hundred feet up the mountain. But fair warning, the birds that visit the feeder may join you and you may even have a few squirrel or chipmunk visitors, too!

Downstairs you can retire to the two cozy bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen bed with large storage drawers underneath. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with a full-size mattress on the bottom and a twin-size mattress on top. The full bath has a tub/shower combo and is convenient to both of the bedrooms. We provide fresh bed linens, pillows, towels, blankets, dishes, pots/pans and lots more to make you visit as comfortable as we can.

Our house has one security camera only be used for security purposes and located outside on the upstairs level(in front) and coverage the driveway.

Please Note: Our house has two stories. Guests must be able to climb up & down stairs during their stay. If you have young children, you should be vigilant as to where they are both inside and outside the home (we have non-carpeted stairs, slippery rocks, creeks and steep hillsides).

Access to the cabin is easy, but when it snows you will need a 4WD/AWD vehicle.

Heath, safety, and wellbeing of our guests are of utmost importance. For this reason, we use a thorough cleaning process after each check-out.

Cute place. Nice and quiet. Clean. Could not get to the little creek, but no problem ... we found another place for our grandson to swim and play. Very close to everything we wanted to get to. Easy access to the cabin by roads. No twisty, turning roads.

We so enjoyed the sanctuary time. The destination is ideal for quiet contemplation, and reconnecting on a personal level. Thank you for providing a welcoming environment. The property was so serene. The house was so accommodating. The kitchen was stocked with all we needed. The indoor fireplace was lovely and the host even put up a Christmas tree with a beautiful scented candle in the living room.The hosts were the best!! They were very kind and hospitable. Christmas Tree Hunting

Very nice cabin, Down in the woods. Saw deer's right outside the cabin on two different occasions. The cabin was well furnished and clean with a nice gas fire place to help warm your bones! It's about 20 Minutes to Boone or West Jefferson, so it's was a really good location if you mind a short drive to get to a town. It's also Just off the Blue Ridge Pky Way. We found Day's Choose and Cut family owned Tree farm just a few minutes from the cabin and they were very friendly and easy to walk when looking for the perfect tree. I would recommend the cabin to any small family.

Very quiet,off highway on a gravel dirt road. It was hiding up on the hill. Lots of room inside only me and my sister was there. We had a issue with gnats but the host took care of the issue very quickly and very understanding. So other then that we enjoyed our stay and had a great time!! Next trip I plan, I will stay longer. Thanks to our host for making our stay a great one!! God Bless You! Thank you again for everything! Juanita. Holt was very understanding.

Family Weekend

My family of 5 had a great weekend at the cabin. I have 3 kids, ages 11, 4, and 2, and they loved playing in the creek and on the hammock. On top of being immaculately clean, the cabin was well stocked with kid supplies (and everything else)! We would love to visit again!

Hospitality plus

A warm embrace immediately upon arrival with a bottle of wine and two glasses on the kitchen island set the tone for our stay. This cabin in the woods with modern facilities including high speed internet and nice flat screen TVs is a gem set in the woods of the high country of N.C. We had a great time with cool Summer weather, great dining and a number of rounds of golf at three quality public courses.

Long Weekend in the North Carolina Mountains

Lovely stay in cozy cabin property with plenty of space. The kitchen was well-stocked (with dishware, flatware, pots, pans, etc) for preparing all of our meals on site. We really enjoyed the fire pit at night. Thoughtful touches, such as snacks and water bottles, on arrival were greatly appreciated. Highly recommend and would stay again!

We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful location. A brook wanders past the front of the property. Most of the house is updated and recently painted. A few items are worn, but overall, the place is lovely for a small group - it sleeps 5 at most.

Just Okay

The house was...fine. The host was helpful and responsive; the house was comfortable. However, it lacked any charm and had some unsavory issues with the fridge and wifi. If you're looking for a simple place to sleep, this could work. But if you're looking for something welcoming, special and memorable, you may want to keep looking. Pros: Helpful and responsive host Quiet, safe, convenient location Coffee and light snacks available Cons: Lacking a welcoming feel or any special touches Unsecured WiFi network (no password) creates major digital security issues Unpleasant surprise: Lots of open and half-used condiments in the fridge, including dairy (no idea who left them behind) Video cameras on premise (outside) give an uneasy feeling (it's noted in the listing, but still....) Glaring lights on all night and crowing rooster from neighbor (obviously no fault of host) disruptive to peace and enjoyment There are no views, despite property title Average 3 star property/stay. Took one star off due to the unsecured wifi and old food left behind.

Amazing Peaceful Cozy home!

The cabin was cute and cozy. Had everything we needed. We liked the location and was easy to access, stream rolling through the property which was nice the listen to. We enjoyed our stay here! The owners were very nice to work with, helpful with any and all questions I had. Even got additional info for me when I asked for recommendations! Great place!
