"La Petite Foret Noire" Countryside Walk-Out Suite

Rural 2-bedroom ground-level suite with kitchenette /wet bar, dining area, and family room. Walk out covered patio with outdoor dining area and gas grill. Spaces for RV parking or to pitch a tent.

On 10 acres with unobstructed view of Pike's Peak and easy access to the Air Force Academy (16 miles), Garden of the Gods (24 miles) and Pike's Peak Summit (54 miles).

Great starting point for day/weekend road cycling excursions, or a "rendez-vous" point to meet, and a great place to "base camp", for families/groups meeting / traveling in Colorado Springs area.

1450 square foot 2-bedroom basement suite located in vicinity of the Black Forest.

The suite offers sleeping for 6 adults. The 13' x 21' "King" bedroom has a king bed and walk-in closet. The 14' x 16' "Queen" bedroom has a queen bed. A queen-sized sofa bed is available in family room.

The 24' x 32' family room, dining area, and kitchenette/wet bar contains a gas fireplace, TV entertainment center, and 4- person breakfast table.

The kitchenette is equipped with fridge, microwave, air-fryer, crock-pot, coffee maker, soda-stream, bar sink and dishwasher.

The suite has a private 9' x 8' bathroom with walk-in shower equipped with grab bars.

Walk out to a covered patio with outdoor lounging, dining and gas grill. The patio is sheltered by trees; yet offering a panoramic view of the front range and Pike's Peak.

Feel the grass between your toes on our 1500 square foot lawn or enjoy a game of croquette. Small children can enjoy a sheltered sandbox with sand toys. Many days, one can fly a kite; or take a walk in our common area. Evenings guests can visit around a gas fire pit table.

The yard has multiple spots where one, or more. RVs can be parked. Potable water is available, along with access to 15 AMP power supply.

The suite, patio and property are accessible to guests. Access to the host's laundry facilities can be arranged, upon request.

The hosts live on the property (upper level); although we may be away during parts of your stay. We will be present during check-in and frequently during check-out.

The suite will comfortably accommodate six adults. The nightly rental rate is based on use of the "King" bedroom only. An additional $50 per stay will be charged for use of each additional bed ("Queen") or sofa hide-a-bed.

Camp cots and camping mattresses are available to accommodate additional children.

A continental breakfast (including gluten free options) is provided.

Rates for RV unit parking (@ self-contained usage) are available upon request.

Requests for extended stays (>14 days) may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

A beautiful home and location. The hosts were exceptional and very welcoming. Easy access to travel to surrounding areas. We were greeted every morning with a smile and a healthy breakfast. It was a great experience and highly recommend it.

I cannot say enough, how pleasant our stay was. My dog was very welcomed and plenty of walking running space in the back. Our continental breakfast every morning was the highlight of our day and Monique and Norm were amazing host. We can’t thank them enough.

Monique and Norman were the absolute best. They were kind, friendly, accommodating and the property is absolutely beautiful. It was such a peaceful and serene stay. My friends and family visiting from out of town enjoyed their time as well. Our guests who stayed at the property said the homemade breakfast was phenomenal. One of the best rental experiences I’ve had. We highly recommend staying here, we will definitely book again when the need arises!

I had a wonderful experience at this property. The hosts were incredibly kind and quick to respond. The property was very clean on check in and had plenty of room and beautiful views. I had planned a gathering during our duration here and I found that the hosts were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Would definitely consider booking this stay again!

We absolutely loved the stay here. Norm and Monique could not have been more accommodating. Monique’s continental breakfast was beautifully presented and DELICIOUS!! It was much more than a “continental breakfast”. Great place for your dog too. They had a large food and water bowel awaiting your pet. They even had a bed for them. The VRBO was comfortable and roomy and had everything you would need and if it didn’t you could contact Norm and he would get it.The view and patio are to die for, just sit down, relax and take it all in! A place we hope to visit again!

Peaceful & beautiful

Loved our stay at Norm & Monique’s place! A beautiful large walkout with lots of space and a backyard with a view of Pikes Peak. A comfy bed and nicely appointed bathroom & kitchen.. Kitchen has all you need and they brought us a delicious breakfast each morning with more than enough food to start the day. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again in the future.

Best experience

A short review seems minimal compared to the awesome experience my family had staying here. The hosts were more than accommodating. They brought coffee to my family every morning. This is more of a bed and breakfast rather than your typical rentals. The home is spacious and comfortable, the view is beyond spectacular. Don’t hesitate to book.

Beautiful home - Like staying with family

Overall, we were pleased with our stay. The hosts are kind and gracious. The continental breakfast with fresh, warm muffins, deli meat, fruit, and cheese was more than enough each day. The basement suite is well appointed and had some high end touches we appreciated. We felt as if we were staying in the basement of family as we were welcomed as such but can also hear all of the every day life activities going on upstairs (kitchen, phone calls, meal conversations, drawers, dog, etc). It would be impossible not to hear eachother so there isn't a feeling of separation or privacy if you are looking for that. There are saloon type doors at the top of the basement stairs separating the two areas. The bed was very comfortable but sleep was a little tough with some noise from upstairs. Absolutely lovley humans and beautiful home. We were disappointed to miss out on the back patio space the last morning due to pest control being on site and warning us to stay in after dousing the patio area with spray. We saw ZERO evidence of any bugs during our stay; it was just a bummer to have that going on in the last hour before check out. Similar to inside, you will hear and see the owners outdoors tending to this beautiful property, riding the mower/ tractor, and going about daily life. The dog, Beau, is a friendly face as well. Overall, a wonderful place with a lovely host. Just be aware ahead of time what it means to have owners on site and adjust your expectations accordingly.
