Sunlit 3 bedroom, enclosed dog friendly yard in quiet neighborhood

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood just off of the Old Pecos Trail, minutes from downtown, is this lovely 3 bedroom 2 bath home. Highlights include an open living, dining and kitchen area, a roomy master suite and two additional comfortable guest bedrooms with functionality for two couples or a family and friends group. Living room features vaulted beamed ceilings, reclaimed wood floors, cedar lined bancos and a wood burning fireplace creating additional warmth and festivity. All of this opens to a spacious outdoor area with a covered portal area for outdoor dining, pretty flower and herb borders and a large natural area for your children and pets to enjoy. The backyard is fully and safely enclosed, assuring that we are dog friendly! Our neighborhood is safe and quiet with nice walking and a community park right on the block. Views of the stunning New Mexico skies over the Sangre de Cristo foothills to the east. The Santa Fe Plaza is a pleasant 10 minute drive from town.

The house is meticulously cleaned and maintained with a well equipped gourmet kitchen, crisp linens, plush towels etc., making your stay so comfortable you may be torn between exploring New Mexico or just relaxing at home!

Our family including pet stayed for 6 weeks and had a fabulous time. The house was super comfortable and very well stocked for a longer stay. Our dog loved the fully fenced in yard. The location is excellent, about 10 minutes from almost any Santa Fe attraction yet quiet with a neighborhood park down the street. Sunsets from the park are spectacular! We thoroughly enjoyed the visit and will be returning.

This was such a clean, comfortable and cute home that was fully stocked… I mean fully… things I normally bring were already there..like they thought of everything. 10 minutes from plaza …house was really central to where we wanted to go. Quiet neighborhood with a cute park to walk our dogs to. Neighbors even waved at us . The house was very clean, and they allowed us to have an extra furry critter there too. Melissa was available and helpful with anything that we needed or had questions about . We enJOYed our stay so much and would definitely come back again.

Great House, with an even better host

Loved this house and Melissa is amazing to work with. It’s rare to find a super clean rental that allow dogs and this is one of the top rentals we have seen across the whole western US. We loved the location and the great backyard for dogs. A nice neighborhood that allowed us to easily access trails and downtown with just a quick drive. When we return to Santa Fe we will stay here!

Great house and neighbourhood

The house is very nicely decorated, spacious and very comfortable. Anything I needed was available whether for cooking, bathing or entertaining. Beds were comfortable and neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful. A park just down the street was great for walking my dog. The backyard was very nice for my small dog to wander around. This is a great place to stay. I definitely would return.

Blissful stay!

Wow, this house is amazing! It is gorgeous, spacious, clean, and so comfortable in every way. The backyard is huge, and our dog loved it. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The home is steps away from a nice, little park. The location is convenient, close to the wonderful restaurant, Harry's Roadhouse. Melissa is just the nicest host ever! She left us coffee and gourmet treats as a welcome gift! We also really appreciated how well stocked the house was with kitchen, bath, and laundry products. We visit Santa Fe every summer, so I immediately booked this super awesome house for next summer too!!

The Sun, The Moon and Five Stars

We loved our two-week stay at Sun Mountain Casa. The house was clean and incredibly well stocked. And when we needed assistance – like when the dryer wouldn’t dry or the fence needed mending – Melissa was on it immediately. Read the other reviews and you’ll see that the property is as advertised. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. And the dog park down the street is an added bonus.

Home away from home

The house was very comfortable- large back yard and private. It was well stocked and Melissa was super easy to communicate with. All of our needs were met and I have no doubt that she would have done anything possible to make our stay even more pleasant if we had needed it. There is a nice neighborhood park across from the house. The neighborhood is friendly. There is a family restaurant about 5 minutes walk (friendliest people ever). We had a great experience!

Workcation with the doggo

Spent a week here - house had everything we needed. Great, friendly neighborhood, perfect location to hiking and town. Our dog loved the big backyard and all the other dog friends in the neighborhood. Communication with Melissa was helpful and clear. House was exactly as expected and more - hope to stay again. Wonderful!

My husband and I felt lucky to stay at this property for a month. The house is large, comfortable and lovely. It was a working vacation for my husband, and he especially appreciated the sunny office and fast, reliable internet. As far as supplies go, it was the most well stocked property we’ve ever stayed at. We didn’t have to purchase paper towels, toilet paper, tissues or laundry detergent during our stay, and the kitchen is supplied with spices, oils, and other essentials. Our dog enjoyed the large backyard and a good dog walking trail, “Angel Dog Pathway,” is just 2 blocks away. The city center, many trails and Canyon rd are all 5-12 minute drive away. If you want a hard, short hike with 360 views at the top, Sun Mountain trail is 4 minutes away. Can’t say enough about how terrific Melissa is. Communication was an exceptional, and she was responsive to all our needs. We hope to be back next year!

Absolutely wonderful

What a perfect house in a perfect location. The property manager was an absolute gem, welcoming us so warmly. We felt at home immediately. The house was clean, warm, spacious, beautifully decorated, stocked with coffee and other staples, and there was still plenty of space to put our own things away. The neighborhood was peaceful and central to everywhere we needed to be. The big backyard was bliss for our kids and dogs, especially when it snowed. The house was warm and filled with light, such a comfortable place to relax and enjoy the holidays and play games and do puzzles. We were there for two weeks and we were very sad to leave- hope to be back next year. Best home rental experience we have ever had.

Nice house

Nice house. I killed a spider just about every day either in the master bedroom, bath or closet. Two different kinds. Also there were cigarette butts in the backyard that one of my dog found.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Casa de Sun Mountain is truly a home away from home. The property is located just west of Sun Mountain with the Atalayas in the background. Calle Alvarado is a quiet residential neighborhood (with friendly neighbors) that is a 9 minute drive down the Old Pecos Trail from the Capitol and Plaza area. That means that when you have completed your daily exploration of Santa Fe and the surrounds, you can retreat to the Casa for peace and quiet. There is a lovely portal in the private back yard, a grill and a chef's kitchen and serving bar if you want to make food at home. Most days you can catch the sunset from the front porch area but if need be, you can take your crew on a short walk down to Calle Alvarado Park for a brief hike on the trail and open skies to the West. The living room is set up for nothing but R&R so that the moment you are home, you begin to recharge for your next day.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We fell in love with this home because it had a distinctly Santa Fe style. We loved the large back yard, native plants, kiva fireplace, short distance from the Plaza, Canyon Road and the Capitol but yet, in a neighborhood where everyone was friendly and things were quiet.
