MISLEADING LISTING

We booked this property based on beautiful listing photos and a peaceful lakefront promise—but what we arrived to was completely different. The yard was cluttered with garbage, debris, and overgrown weeds. There was even old carpeting dumped near the lake, and the firepit area was so overgrown it was unusable. The exterior of the house was poorly maintained, and although it’s technically lakefront, the area around the lake was in such disrepair it couldn’t be safely or comfortably enjoyed.Inside, the home had a strong musty odor, and overall felt neglected and uncomfortable. The photos on the listing did not align to what we saw when we got there. To make matters worse, there were two RVs parked on the property with people staying in them, which was never mentioned in the listing and made the environment feel unpredictable and unwelcoming.When we tried to resolve this directly with the host, she was dismissive, defensive, and unwilling to acknowledge any of the misrepresentation. She shifted blame and made no effort to address the situation fairly.We left immediately and are now pursuing a resolution through VRBO. This listing does not reflect the reality of the property, and the lack of support from the host made a bad situation worse. I strongly recommend others avoid this property and look elsewhere.

Paradise can be hard to find

The house and lake view was perfect! The initial first impression from the street view as we were trying to find the place was initially alarming and somewhat hard to find. Recognizing that it is a lake shore property, you enter the property from the back which has been a storage area for the property. There is weak to no cell coverage around the property so it would have been helpful to know in advance what the initial entrance looked like. The house has Wi-Fi so cell coverage is good from the house but not the access road. The place is gorgeous, the house is clean beautiful and fully accommodating and the sunset views are immaculate.

Beautiful location with friendly hosts.

We had a great time. The hosts were very helpful with answering questions we had before and during our stay. The views are beautiful. The house has everything needed for a relaxing week at the lake!

Fantastic lakeside retreat

Our family stayed at this beautiful home after 3 long, exhausting days visiting Glacier National Park. We all needed a change of pace and a little space and we got all that and more. The house was clean and provided everything we needed so we could relax and recharge. My teenagers loved the clear lake and used the paddle boards provided by our host. Paula was also kind enough to offer them some instructions since they had never used a paddle board before. And the sunsets are not to be missed! If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, you will not be disappointed. We would most definitely come back!

A little slice of heaven on McGregor Lake

We had a wonderful week on the lake and enjoyed getting away from it all. The house is further back on the property which wasn’t a problem for us, but if anyone in your party has mobility issues, that is something to consider. Watching the sunset over the lake every night from the deck was a treat.

Great week at the lake!

We had a wonderful week at McGregor Lake. The cabin was beautiful and spacious and close to the water. Lots of options of activities and it was supplied with everything we needed! The owners were quick to respond and help out with any questions we had before and during our stay. I would recommend this cabin to anyone!

Absolutely fantastic view and lake access! Spacious and clean house with plenty of amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we would definitely come back.

Pictures on-line do not do this beautiful home justice!! We walked in and immediately started smiling. Every little detail of this home is thought out and beautiful!! Paula is kind and met us when we arrived and showed us around. I’d highly recommend this property!!!

Beautiful setting

Great location and facilities were just what we needed. The only regret is that we were not able to spend much time enjoying the property. It was a great experience and would love to go back again.

Raised in the area and lived here since 1996. The property was originally my grandparents since 1959. I have enjoyed swimming, skiing, fishing, paddle boarding and cruising the lake on the pontoon boat. Icefishing and cross country skiing are enjoyed on the lake in the winter season. Oh and the sunsets are gorgeous year round!
