Rural home, just 5 minutes from historic Red Wing, MN. Mississippi River close by, as well as Hay Creek Recreational Area that has well groomed horse trails, hiking trails, and snowmobile trails. 15 minutes from Welch Village Ski Resort. We are also minutes from Cannon Valley Trail.
The living areas in this home are very spacious. Kitchen, dining, living room all open floor plan with plenty of space for large families/groups to gather.
Large shaded, well cared for yard with plenty of space for kids to play.
We do allow pets for an extra fee, please contact us to see what we can accommodate.
Small pasture can accommodate 2-4 horses for extra fee if you are planning to do some trail riding.
Dog kennel available outside, as well as a dog run. Please let me know if any pets you will be bringing.

Antiques inside and out are constantly changing.
There are lots of places outside for great photos. An old 1950s blue truck, old farm equipment/tractor, farm buildings with old signs, etc.
Walking around the farm to see the sights and animals is encouraged, but we ask you not enter the outbuildings as all are in use.
If you would like a tour of the barn, ask! We would be happy to show it to you.
There are also two very large raspberry patches that we never seem to stay ahead of. We will thank you for picking as much as you want!
We hope your stay with us will be relaxing, refreshing, and enjoyable.

Walleye fishing

Needed a place for 2 couples and 3 singles, worked out great. We had 3 boats which had easy parking. Short drive to town with a nice marina to put in each day. The house was very nice with all of the needs met. We hope to be back.

Feather Stone Farm

We stayed over two nights. This location is super close to downtown Red Wing. It’s an easy 20 minute drive. The location is very quiet and it was enjoyable to sit in the yard. We were able to watch the stars at night, getting to see Mars and Jupiter even.

Relaxing, Comfortable, & Convenient

We had 3 generations stay for a long weekend while we attended a family reunion in the area. We enjoyed being in the country while close enough to get to stores. The amenities were terrific. The fire pit was set up, ready for use, (with extra wood in case we wanted another fire) with comfy chairs to sit around and visit while watching the fireflies. There was a good selection of coffees for the Keurig, a washer and dryer, and the water heater handled our group of 8. The beds were comfortable, and the decor was pleasing. The host was easy to communicate with and helpful. This was the second time some of the family had stayed here, my first time, and we all agree we'd stay here again.

Fabulous stay in the country near Red Wing, MN

Pictures on the site do not do this place justice. House and outside area is spacious, the home has everything you'd need and more, especially the kitchen. Lots of towels, comfortable beds, plenty of seating in the living room with TV. Plenty of parking. We made meals a few times and made use of the dining table for eating and playing a game. Plenty of space to sit outside and view the countryside, including sheep across the road! A big area to walk around outside with good photo opportunities. An easy drive into Red Wing. There were 5 ladies, and we thought 1 bathroom would be challenging, but it ended up not being an issue. Contact with the host was quick and easy. We highly recommend this place.

This place was gorgeous. Only thing i will say negatively is this is not a 5 bedroom home. It is 3 bedroom with a living room and family room. Not as many beds as it stated but its ok it worked well for us. It just may not work for others. I also did not see a garden but there was corn fields surrounding us. The owner was amazing and so accommodating. He got the firepit ready for us with extra logs. Propane was filled for grilling out and the property was so cool to walk around and see all the old cars. If we come out to Red Wing again we would definitely book again.

Epic adult family mini vacation!

Great get-a-way. Nice farmhouse that had everything we needed. Enjoyed picking raspberries, petting the cat and horse, beautiful sunsets. 10 minutes from Downtown Red Wing. Will hopefully stay there next year!!!

Wonderful and relaxing!

I highly recommend this property! I met up with friends for a girls weekend, and this little piece of heaven fit the bill perfectly! The house provides a perfect setting for family or friend get-togethers with its comfy living area and spacious kitchen. There is lots of space for parking. We had plenty of space for all of us to sleep in very comfortable beds with wonderful bedding. The house is beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful touches like the game cupboard. It would be a great place to stay with kids, too--space to play outside and toys in the game cupboard! We loved the country views and all of the personal touches that Hilbert put into making our stay special. He was quick to respond to questions I had and very accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
