Welcome to your serene retreat on the South River! The heart of this expansive estate is a charming cottage with 5 bedrooms and 2 baths, complemented by a newer addition with 5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The addition hosts a recreational haven, complete with a pool table, table tennis, and a gym.

Nestled on a 4-acre parcel, this enchanting property offers a perfect blend of tranquility and entertainment, minutes away from Annapolis and the iconic Maryland Renaissance Festival!!

Immerse yourself in the joy of water activities with kayaks at your disposal or simply relax by the private dock, overlooking the South River. Enjoy a dip in the amazing saltwater pool or soak your cares away in the hot tub. The expansive yard invites friendly matches of volleyball, croquet, or cornhole, promising endless hours of fun under the sun. There are also boat rental services nearby that we can recommend.

In the back yard there is 220 feet of water front with comfortable seating overlooking the South River and a horseshoe pit. There is also a dock for some fishing.

In season you will have access to a lagoon-style swimming pool with extended shallow end for chaise lounges and a waterfall or access to a water view hot tub on the back yard deck.

The home is centrally located for easy access to: Annapolis 15 min (via West St.), Baltimore (via Rt.97), or Washington DC (via Rt.50 or Rt.214): The Naval Academy (9 miles/15 minutes), Downtown Baltimore (29 miles/35 minutes), and Washington DC (26 miles/35 minutes).

The original house is the cottage and was built in nineteen twenty. It has 5 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms and its own HVAC system.

In 1997 an brand new addition was built which is attached to the original house, they look like one big house from the outside. The Luxe has 5 bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms as well as its own HVAC systen.

On the main floor of the Luxe you will find 1 King bedroom and 1 full hallway bathroom with a tub/shower combination. Upstairs has 1 King bedroom with an ensuite bathroom complete with a jacuzzi tub and separate shower. In addition, the upstairs features 1 Queen bedroom and a bunkroom with 6 twin beds. There is also a hallway half bathroom upstairs. In the basement there is an additional King bedroom and a full bathroom with a standup shower.

On the main floor of the cottage there is 1 Queen bedroom, 1 Full bedroom, a Twin bedroom with 2 twin beds and a full bathroom. Upstairs in the cottage is 1 Queen bedroom and a Twin bedroom with 2 twin beds.

Family Reunion

We had 24 people ranging from ages 1 - 83 so we used every bed and we stayed for a week. As we arrived there were a few things that needed to be attended to but the property manager responded and sent workers over to fix them. It was very hot and humid outside the first few days and the A/C worked great! We enjoyed the pool, volleyball net, hammock, fire ring, exercise equipment, and the large living area on the Luxe side. We even brought in a big round folding table and chairs from the garage for extra seating. There were 4 refrigerators and a chest freezer that made it easy to store food to feed us all. We also used the dock to tie up a boat for the week but the boat lift that is pictured does not work. The steps down to the dock are very steep so our 83 year old did not get a boat ride. We had 8 kids, 10 years old and under, that loved playing in the bunk room on the Luxe side. There is lots of grassy area on the river side and the other side of the house to play games and run around. Sunset views are pretty on the river side and we even saw a July 4th fireworks display from the river side lawn. A perfect ending to our week together!

Great trip

Wonderful spot for large group. House was massive. Comfortably slept 17 of us. The views of the canals were great and close to Annapolis. Would definitely come back.

NOT what I expected

I reserved this property because a) the Guest Reviews were unanimously very positive and b) because I needed ten separate bedrooms for ten co-workers in town for a business offsite. The reality is that the two buildings and the configuration of the rooms is very choppy and not nearly close to one another in terms of comfort or atmosphere. One of the bedrooms is only accessible by walking through another bedroom. Others appear to originally be closets that have been poorly repurposed. The "Cottage" is musty and was unacceptable for my colleagues with sensitive respiratory issues. The basement bedroom in the "Luxe" is more bomb shelter than bedroom. In the end, I felt the need to offer to any of my colleagues to leave and stay down the road at the Courtyard Marriott. Also, this is not a new or property or "high-end" experience by any measure. I was sadly and significantly disappointed with this property.

Great spot for a reunion

10 adults and 12 or 13 kids (who's counting) and we had a blast. The pool is incredible, plenty of space, lots of seating. Great time!!

Wonderful week long family reunion

Will stay here again! This property has everything! Great pool, hot tub, fire pit, kayaks, beautiful river view, balls, corn hole, grills, linens, great kitchens, pool table, ping pong, yoga mats, exercise bike, tread mill, screened in porch, outside porch swing, and a giant Adirondack chair that was great for the family photo! 17 of us spent a week here for a family reunion and only basically left for food shopping. The property is amazing and the owner is responsive to any questions. We will be back again for the next reunion!

Amazing private property

We had such a wonderful surprise at this property, the views, the pool and the homes were so wonderful. We did not realize it was so private and so much land was part of this property. It was perfect for our family and we did not want to leave. We could kayak each day then swim and play volleyball. We would definitely come back.

Perfect for a large group with kids

This met our needs for a large group gathering with lots of young kids. Loved the amount of games and activities available for everyone. We found the house well stocked with basics and feel it was even better than expected. Wish the dock were safer - seems treacherous even for adults. But there’s plenty to appreciate aside from that.

Fabulous experience!

This property is truly amazing. So many fun things to do - horseshoes, ping pong, pool table, hot tub, fire pit - the list goes on. We hosted a small gathering after a family funeral, and the property provided beautiful open spaces outside as well as a perfect inside gathering space with a well-stocked kitchen. Three families with members ranging from 6 - 75 years old stayed at the house, and the accommodations were great for all ages. The property was clean, the host was responsive, and we look forward to coming back!

My husband, Dominic, and I love to travel all over the world but Maryland will always be home for us. We have plans to visit a few more places in Europe in the near future before settling down and starting a family of our own. Currently our only babies are our Rhodesian Ridgeback pup Rufus and our roofing business.

In our spare time we enjoy hiking, live music & comedy shows, and meeting new people which is what lead us to hosting our home. There is so much to do and see in the Annapolis area and we are more than happy to share some of favorites!

Our home is centrally located to many popular attractions such as downtown Annapolis, Washington D.C., and Baltimore. There are many beach & nature parks within driving distance and the U.S. Naval Academy is just a short 15 minutes away. We have direct water access from our private dock to the South River which feeds into the Chesapeake Bay. You can crab, fish, or swim off the dock or enjoy a day by our saltwater pool. We provide outdoor/lawn games such as volleyball, tether ball, bocce ball, croquet, horseshoes, and corn hole.
