This was our first trip back to Cape Cod in over a decade, and it held special meaning for our family; particularly for my 80 year-old father who grew up there.First, I’d like to acknowledge the beauty and cleanliness of the houses. We appreciated the attention to detail and the care taken to maintain the indoor spaces. However, I feel it’s important to express a few concerns. While we missed the fine print regarding the beach restriction of 12 people, an oversight on our part, I wish the matter had been addressed more calmly. Being admonished from the top of the stairs didn’t reflect the tone of respectful dialogue I had hoped for, especially considering the nature of our gathering. We weren’t hosting parties, just short visits from family members reconnecting quietly during the day.There were also some maintenance issues that impacted the stay:The cleaning crew was still present after our 4pm check-in and the trash bins were already full from the previous guests.The leaking kitchen sink, though mentioned ahead of time, remained unfixed during our stay. Outdoor areas did not reflect the same level of care as the interior: chairs with bird droppings, moss-covered railings, and patchy landscaping along paths all detracted from the overall experience.Trash; we had to chase down the truck ourselves. The way you and your mother stalk the beach and do head counts is disturbing, and the # of messages I received from you was a distraction from time with family & dampened the mood.

Great location and accommodations!

We all loved the beach, barbecues on the porch, and the clean, comfortable main house and carriage house. This was our second year at this location, and it was perfect for our group of 11.

Summer Family Reunion

The property was in excellent condition ( very clean, well supplied.). The location was excellent- the walk to the beach really was 1 minute;the ocean was great for swimming. Beach chairs and umbrellas were supplied and put to good use. We also were able to grill burgers and eat out on the deck -- ideal setting for the family to enjoy being together before the fall schedules start.

Summer Vacation at the Cape

The main and carriage house were very nice and clean. Both were newly renovated with modern amenities. All the beds were comfortable. The owner made sure that both places were well provided with everything that you can possibly need especially the kitchen. Mr. Drogon responded to our calls in a timely manner. Overall everyone had a wonderful stay. Thank you Mr. Drogon!

Beach trip

This was an amazing property and place to stay. We had both houses which was great for our large family as several of our adult children had to work while there. Great proximity to the beach. Beach chairs, outdoor games etc all provided. Recommend highly!

Great location and size and lovely renovation

We would stay here again. It worked so well for our family, and the 3 bathrooms were important to us and not always easy to find. The neighborhood is cute too- a plus . The easy access to the beach was a treat for everyone , even my 80 year old mom made it. The house is really beautifully renovated. You can see the water from the windows and the deck and the kitchen is a joy. The deck is super! And the couches are very comfortable! That is important when you go someplace to relax .

Home away from home!

This was our third year coming to this property. It fits all of our family perfectly ( 15 of us). The beach is just steps from the house and Alex the host was so welcoming. Communication was excellent and we plan on coming back to make more memories. See you soon Cape!

Family Reunion

We had a wonderful stay. We used both the main house and the carriage house. Both are well equipped, clean and comfortable. A beautiful view and a very quick walk to the beach.

Great for large group - one minor “snag”

Overall we had a wonderful experience at the property. I would say the pictures don’t do the space justice; the first floor was nice and open - great for hanging out as a group (we had 6 adults/6 kids). There is a smaller living room (with the leather couches in pics) that was perfect for the kids to play in and watch tv all while being close by. BEST thing about the property is the short walk to private beach. We were a little confused at first but once we figured out where we were walking to, it was more than ideal. We could leave our chairs and toys etc to head back up for lunch and come back later. The ocean was a little seaweed-y at times but overall our kids (4-8 years old) really enjoyed swimming. House was fully stocked with everything you could need in the kitchen and for the beach including beach chairs, beach toys and umbrellas (which was SO helpful not to pack). We found the house to have helpful “starters” like garbage bags, detergent, toilet paper and paper towels. Also the location is great for quick drives to all the necessities. Biggest negative was that the dishwasher broke about 1/2 way thru the trip. It wasn’t a dealbreaker for us and the owner was responsive to try to help. We tried to troubleshoot but nothing worked. Sounds like this might have been an issue before so I hope it gets fixed. (Washing dishes for 12 isn’t fun!) Other minor items that would have improved comfort level (but again not a deterrent for a future stay): more comfortable outdoor lounge seating, umbrella on back deck to hang outside out of the blazing Sun (and enjoy the ocean views!), hooks for towels/suits on back of doors/bathrooms, more than 1 bath towel per headcount, kitchen towels, and bedside lamps in bedrooms.

Great Cape getaway

We (group of 8 adults and 4 teens) had a great time at this property. Spacious enough for all and sizable outdoor space. The outdoor showers are an added bonus and proximity to the beach was a stones throw. The house is new and clean with the essentials available. The nice part is the closet space is empty and plenty of storage space for all the items a group comes with. Overall very pleased with our stay!

Fun times

This is our second time renting this home. We have a big family that comes together once a year and this home fits our family very well. The beach is super close to the property and private. We will hopefully come again.

Great property, but fell short in enough ways to stay away next time.

Per email from owner: Check in at 9 AM. Could not enter w/o key. After multiple texts, phone calls and email get no response, we have no idea if they are on a plane somewhere or maybe 20 miles away. Upset owner arrives finally, uses key to gain entry. Tells us check in is at 11. Really? Not according to his email to me yesterday. But all seems fine. This is a two building property with a nearly private and lovely beach: Wonderful. But with. 11 people, the dishwasher doesn't work. Requires a Samsung tech and a replacement part. Owner advised, but he says we should just wash dishes for 11, 3 times a day by hand, or better yet, walk down a flight of stairs, across about 100 feet of property, and up another flight of stairs to use the building next door. Raving angry owner. ( We did wash dishes for 11 three times a day by hand.) Owner claims it's not his problem. Listing doesn't describe that all bedrooms require at least one flight or two and one-half flights. Not for anyone with any sort of mobility issues. No wash cloths or blankets provided and bare minimum hand and bath towels. Two lobster crackers shared by two buildings for 11 people. Very inexperienced renters. Expected better experience than provided. Again, nice building, but unpleasant in too many ways to recommend.
