Firefly Haus - Hot Tub, Firepit, 10min to Smokies

Walk through the front door and your eyes will be bear hugged by an incredible view of Mt. LeConte. Floor to ceiling windows provide a magnificent view of the Smokies. The great room is framed by a native stone fireplace on one side and a gourmet kitchen with custom cabinetry on the other. The entire haus is luxurious.

The kitchen is well stocked for family meals and includes a double oven, a 5-burner electric stovetop, dishwasher, large farmhouse sink, double-sided fridge and microwave.

A nearly 8' wood dining table seats eight people. The adjacent kitchen bar seats six more which provides ample seating for the family.

An enormous, covered deck off the kitchen provides your family a great spot to socialize and make memories with the beauty of the Smokies around you.

The main level includes two bedrooms with their own bathrooms, each easily accessible without stairs (great for the grandparents!)

Go up the stairs and enter the "treehouse", a bedroom suite with its own bathroom and deck. Try not to argue on who gets this awesome room with an incredible view of the mountains!

Go down the stairs and enter a giant game room filled with eight bunks, a wet bar, pool table, XBox One, arcade machine and TV. Kids get to enjoy their own space and even their own bathroom.

The "bear" bedroom is down here so mama bears can look after their cubs. Like all the bedrooms, this one was designed with love and includes a deck and its own bathroom with a luxurious walk-in shower.

Walk outside the game room and experience a private, Smoky Mountain backyard. A unique boulder firepit invites you and the kids to enjoy s'mores and take in a star-filled sky. A large, outdoor, charcoal grill is available in the front yard.

Leave time to take a soak in our 6-person hot tub complete with ambient lighting and plenty of jets - even a lounge chair on one side for full relaxation!

Thank you Matt & Laura! Great house & location. Awesome view! This trip was a few old friends catching up for a few days. We rented more house than we needed in order to get the amenities we desired. Firefly Haus delivered it all. Enjoyed cooking meals together in the beautiful & excellently stocked kitchen. Stunning views from every room. Very unique experience to start a fire in the fire pit, then sit in the hot tub & watch it burn with that beautiful mountain view in the background. This place is true luxury in every space at a reasonable price. Hope to be back soon.

House was beautiful. In our party we had someone in a wheelchair and two walking with canes and we were able to stay for 3 nights with little to no issues. Fully handicapped bathing would not have been an option, but we knew the house was not ADA compliant when we booked it. Kids LOVED the arcade and the fun bunk beds. The rooms were all nice, and all sleeping areas have access to a porch with a view of Mt.Kuwohi. Fridge in upstairs room was appreciated. The hot tub was nice and clean. Bathroom toiletries came in handy. Snacks were thoughtful. Laundry pods were put to use. Kitchen was well stocked. View was stunning. Lots of good memories were made. Thanks for a great stay Firefly!

Fufilled a much needed getaway

Beautiful property! We packed a lot, but other than the food we brought, everything was there that we needed. The view was as advertised. It was nice waking up with my wife in the treehouse room every morning and having coffee on the deck.

Perfect House

I chose this property on its modern looks and layout. It exceeded my expectations! Loaded with amenities. And it was perfect for our family of eight adults and five young children in every respect. Just don’t plan to use the backyard except for sitting by the fire. The bears can appear while you are in the hot tub. Thank you Matt and Laura; you are the greatest hosts!

Graduation Getaway

Firefly Haus was the perfect setting for our family to celebrate our son’s graduation! It is an amazing house- beautifully designed and decorated! The views were spectacular and location was secluded, but still close to everything. Matt and Laura were the best hosts, communicating at every step. We had everything we needed.

The perfect vacation home for exploring Gatlinburg and the Smokies

We had a big ask for our trip to Gatlinburg: a house that would accommodate four families with seven total kids, scenic views, big open spaces for dining and entertaining, and easy access to all the sites in the area. Firefly Haus was that and more, and we even got a bear sighting in the backyard! The house was well furnished, clean, and had absolutely beautiful views of the mountains with decks off the main living space and every bedroom. Host communication was excellent from start to finish. Thank you to our hosts!

Perfection

This was the first time we traveled to Gatlinburg and we couldn't have picked a more perfect home to stay in. Matt and Laura thought of everything when they built the Firefly Haus. We had 6 boys ranging in ages 8-15 and they had the time of their life in the game room. Us parents enjoyed our time cooking and just being present in the beauty your home provided. The location was great, not far from downtown Gatlinburg, Ober and Anakeesta. We will definitely be returning. Thank you so much!

Amazing

We travel to Gatlinburg for Thanksgiving every year, and this was by far the best stay. The hosts were exceptional and very accommodating, the location was convenient, and the house was immaculate. 12/10 Would definitely recommend.

Anniversary Trip

We loved the cabin and all of the amenities. It had everything we needed from cooking to entertainment. My only suggestion would be possibly adding a reflective window tint to the windows in the main room. The sun would shine in where the future was and it heated the room up a good bit. Would definitely stay here again!!

Amazing!

We had an amazing stay at the Firefly Haus. The house and views from the house were amazing! We could not have asked for a better family friendly home. The drive to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge were short car rides. My favorite part was being able to sit at the kitchen table and see the beautiful mountain views every day! Communications with Matt and Laura were extremetly efficient and responsive. Will definitely stay again!

Beautiful home!!

This is such a beautiful, clean and spacious home!! Everything was gorgeous inside and out…and wow the views! It was our first time in Gatlinburg and it was such a great experience. We were able to fit 4 families comfortably. The kids stayed in the rooms with the bunks and had so much fun! They did not want to leave!! Matt and Laura provided us with detailed instructions for checkin and checkout and everything went smoothly. The home was stocked with plenty of bath & kitchen essentials and they even had some sweet snacks for us! We would definitely love to stay here again if we are ever back in Gatlinburg!! Thank you Matt and Laura for sharing your beautiful home with us!!

Perfect mountain vacation

This property was everything I hoped for when I booked it. Immediately when you walk in you are facing an attractive wall of windows with a great Mountain View. The downstairs area is amazing for kids, 8 total bunk beds, a big TV, an arcade machine, pool table, etc. They also have a separate bedroom and a couple bathrooms down there. All the rest of the house is equally great and very comfortable throughout, and the top floor is amazing with an even better view of the mountains. The wildlife here is amazing! Within an hour of checking in we saw a bear on our driveway, and in the 4 days we stayed we saw more bears everyday multiple times, including two younger ones playing together on our driveway. There were also turkeys, rabbits, etc. The location is excellent. We went to Anakeesta one day and it took us 11 minutes to get from the front door to the parking lot. You can also be at the entrance to the National Park and Visitors Center in about 8-10 minutes too. It is perfectly situated between Gatlinburg and the National Park. The owners/managers are very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I felt like they were always sending helpful tips and information via email, but never overwhelmed us. This is a great place. Highly recommend, and will definitely be back!

Beautiful home and great location

Firefly Haus exceeded our expectations. We were in town for a dance competition and the gatlinburg convention center was just 10-12 minutes away down the mountain. Very easy drive. The house and the views are unbelievable. We saw lots of bears! It was soo nice to hang out in town then have our own quiet space at night. Girls loved the basement with the bunk beds and their own space. Lots of additional amenities that we didn’t expect. I would highly recommend firefly haus for your next vacation.

Five out of five stars!

We had high expectations given all the glowing reviews. The house and hosts did not disappoint. Adults and kids loved this house. The customer service was outstanding. We loved the self-check-in. The house is in a perfect location. So many mountain rentals we looked at were in sub-divisions. This house felt private, and the views truly were breathtaking. We even had a couple of bears stroll through the yard. We absolutely will book here again.

Vacation with our Moms

Firefly Haus was perfect for our elderly Moms. They each had their own bedrooms/bathrooms on the main floor. The home was beautiful and clean. Even tho it rained, we could see the mountains outside the huge windows. I will recommend this home to anyone visiting Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Firefly Haus is incomparable to any vacation home I’ve stayed in. It’s the most thoughtfully setup house I’ve been in. Very clean, well stocked and close to downtown. The views of the mountains is breathtaking!! Not close to any neighbors, so peaceful. I would recommend you visit the Smokies just so you can stay at Firefly Haus!!! If I could give it a 10 on 5 rating I would!!!

Perfect House in the Mountains

We selected this house for a bachelorette party and it could not have been more prefect. The house is just as beautiful as the surrounding mountains. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was fully stocked, plenty of parking, I could go on and on. This was such a fun weekend!

Best vacation ever!

Gatlinburg is such a great place but the firefly haus was the cherry on top! This home is the most well thought out house we’ve stayed in yet! Every aspect was well thought from the private balcony off each room, to the amazing bathrooms, the fun downstairs room, and the incredible views. It truly made our experience 10/10! With a large party it was able to fit us all with ease and made so many amazing memories! We look forward to coming back and staying in the Firefly Haus again in the future! 10/10 recommend!

Amazing home!!

This home was by far the best rental we've ever stayed in. My entire family was amazed as soon as we walked in the door. Very spacious for the 14 of us. Home was decorated very nice and communication was great with the host. You will not regret booking this home. Stop reading anymore reviews and just book this one now. We will definitely be back!!

Top Notch

The house is wonderful; great floorplan that takes advantage of the views and smartly decorated. Everyone has space for alone time & hang out time. One very minor thing that we didn't communicate, the coffee bean grinder didn't work, so minor, hardly a care, we had such a fantastic time, we could have stayed longer, fireflies are extra special to me now, thank you so much!

Christmas in the mountains

The pictures DO NOT do justice. Matt and Laura opened their home and made us welcome. The welcoming gifts were truly appreciated!! This home has EVERYTHING and it's so warm and cozy. Communication with them was super!! Wish I could give 100 stars!!

Communication with Hosts was Excellent, and So Was The Cabin

I can't say enough about how welcoming, and communicative the hosts were. Additionally, I cannot say enough about this gorgeous cabin and its amenities! I had a few questions prior to renting, and the host was quick to respond and assist. Then, when we walked into the cabin, it took our breath away! Our rental time was just prior to Christmas, and the hosts had the cabin exquisitely decorated for Christmas, and even had a bowl of treats for us on the enormous kitchen table. Even after arriving, we had a couple of questions, and the hosts were, again, quick to respond and assist. We could not have been more blessed, and will forever remember this family trip...thanks to our hosts and their cabin!

Incredible!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Firefly Haus over Thanksgiving break. The attention to detail and personal touches made our stay extra special. Having coffee on one of the many decks overlooking the mountains was the perfect start to each day! Our boys were thrilled with the bunk/game room! I’ve been coming to the Smokey’s since the late 80’s and Firefly Haus is definitely at the top of the list of places I’ve stayed. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. 💗
