Welcome to our cozy 2-bedroom, 1.5-bath farmhouse rental on a charming small suburban farm in peaceful Sheridan, Indiana. Nestled on 10 acres of beautiful rural land, this home offers the perfect blend of quiet countryside relaxation and easy access to major attractions.

Whether you’re here for sports events, a family getaway, or a quiet escape near Indianapolis (about 30-40 minutes to downtown), this little farm gem provides a welcoming home base. We look forward to hosting you! Spread out with plenty of space for families, sports teams, or groups visiting Grand Park Sports Campus—just a short 10-15 minute drive away.

Inside, you’ll find:
• Two comfortable bedrooms (queen beds + additional sleeping options—sleeps up to 6 guest
• 1.5 bathrooms for convenience
• Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook meals
• Spacious living area with smart TV, WiFi, and cozy seating
• Washer/dryer for longer stays

Step outside to enjoy the farm setting—open fields, fresh air, and that classic Indiana rural charm. Great for unwinding after a day at Grand Park, grilling out, stargazing, or just enjoying the tranquility away from city hustle. We’re close to Hamilton County’s other highlights, including upcoming attractions like SkyLake Theme Park (opening 2026, with water features and adventure activities). Rental is a private 2br/1.5 ba rental on the ground floor. Homeowner lives in the separate private residence however the property shares the same walls. She respects the privacy of guests, but is always up to be social or tour the farm as available/requested :)

Beautiful and peaceful

We were in town for a lax tournament and this was a wonderful location - close to the Grand Park and yet a quiet and relaxed oasis with donkeys and goats for the family to feed, pet, and enjoy.

This place was perfect. The patio gave us a view of the sunrise in the morning and shade in the afternoon. The boys really enjoyed the pool table and fishing in the pond. The owners are on site and super friendly even leaving treats for us to feed the donkeys and goat. I will be trying to stay here again and couldn’t recommend it more.

Great Getaway from Tournament Life

The property was beautiful inside and out. It was just minutes from Grand Park Sports Complex but it felt like you were hours away. If we have to come to another tournament, this is definitely our first choice!!

PROS: comfy beds, excellent communication, clean and tidy accommodations, beautiful property, DONKEYS!!Only con for us was the creaking from upstairs was somewhat loud and woke up our light sleepers but we would definitely stay again in spite of that. The owner was so gracious and welcomed our guests and gave us food to feed to the donkeys and those sweet animals definitely have our hearts! Would definitely recommend this property.

Cutest rental on a farm

We absolutely loved this property. It was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our week long stay. We were in town for a softball tournament. Grand Park is about 7 minutes away and Kokomo about 30 minutes away. The owners were super friendly. I loved having room to spread out, being able to cook my own meals, talking on the porch and watching the fireflies at night and petting the donkeys. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place, relaxing setting

Great place, relaxing setting. Property is beautiful. Easy to access small quaint towns such as Carmel and Zionsville. Bowling, go carts and mini golf 15-20 minutes away and plenty of good places to eat. The hosts are very responsive. Will stay again if we have the opportunity.

Beautifully Peaceful

Donkey Trot is beautiful and peaceful. The grounds are beautiful and meticulous and the home is immaculate and welcoming. Jane and Steve are almost as gracious as the donkeys and goat :). Just kidding, pretty sure the donkeys get their demeanor from Jane and Steve! Close to athletic center made this the perfect spot to unwind after a day of basketball and prepare for the next. The space is perfect for a family or a team stay. Would come back just for the relaxation!

Great relaxing stay

My son (14) and I stayed at Donkey Trot Acres during a baseball tournament and Grand Park and surrounding area. Spacious, comfortable and nice and cool! Great hangout between games or team meetups. Friendly homeowners and was fun to meet the donkeys and goats. We didn’t use the fire pit or sitting area due to extreme heat but looks great. Only negatives would be : no wifi and the shower/tub drained real slow. Would stay here again for sure

This was the perfect spot for our games at Grand Park! It was only about 7 min away. The space was super clean. Pool table was a plus. The kitchen was nice to have to save money from not eating out! Happy we were able to stay.

Fantastic option for Grand Park sports families!

I read the reviews (which were excellent) before booking, but I was still pleasantly surprised. Our family of 5, including 3 baseball players, was very comfortable in this space - perfect to escape the sweltering heat whenever we had a break from games. The hosts went above & beyond, providing snacks & paper goods, soaps etc. We loved having a washer/dryer & the pool table was a lot of fun for my boys. Highly recommended - we are at Grand Park a lot & we would stay here again!

It was like renting a park.

My rating was all 5 out of 5 except for accuracy of description. This property was actually better than described. The owners went above and beyond adding extra features to the property that were not in the listing. They more than accommodated our needs and made sporting tournament at Grand Park into a vacation resort.

Memorable experience

We were visiting my sister in whitestown Indiana for my nephews first birthday & had a wonderful experience at your property. Our boys ages 2 & 5 loved visiting the donkeys in the morning & at night feeding them treats. All the little details like snacks and a spotless home made our stay so amazing. We watched a beautiful sunrise and sunset during our 3 day stay. Thanks again for such a memorable experience. Your hospitality was more than anything we expected. Perfect getaway

I cannot say enough good things about this property. I was traveling with my teen son and his teammate for a soccer showcase at Grand Park. The proximity to the park was perfect. The weather didn’t cooperate so having a way for the boys to warm up, clean their uniforms, and unwind was so nice. The hosts had so many little touches like hot chocolate and snacks - we really appreciated every moment. I thought I was going to have to find activities to keep the boys occupied - not necessary. They played pool, hung out on the patio, and just lounged with plenty of space throughout. Thank you for opening your home to guests! It was a truly wonderful experience!

Such a special place to stay!!

We simply loved staying here. We were in town for a Grand Park tournament weekend. We were at the soccer fields with just a short and easy drive… and then happily headed back to this peaceful spot in the countryside. This place is charming, beautiful, CLEAN, and well-stocked with little necessitates. The lovely owners are on-site… and provided just the right amount of friendly interaction and privacy. And, THOSE DONKEYS and GOATS… they melted my heart. An all-around great experience that left us so glad we chose this place.

Exquisite!

If you are looking at this listing, thinking to yourself, "I wonder if the pictures make it look nicer than it really is," you can put that worry to rest! This property is simply lovely! The pictures don't do it justice, because they cannot capture the peaceful, serene, relaxed experience we felt while on site! The property is immaculately clean, both inside and out. The homeowners are so warm and welcoming - they are clearly open to chatting, but also very sensitive to not intruding or feeling like an extra presence. They also clearly take pride in their property and want their guests to have a positive experience - there were so many simple but wonderful gestures (i.e. a candy jar full of Kit Kats, coffee, tea and hot chocolates for the Keurig). We are a family of four - two adults, and two young children, ages 10 & 12, and we were just so happy and relaxed. The yard is amazing, with plenty of different places to sit down, unwind, and enjoy the scenery. It is quite, remote, and away from it all. If you are looking to unplug and unwind, this is the place for you! We are certain that if we end up traveling to the area again in the future, our first preference is this home! We loved sitting outside, listening to the fountain in the pond, and simply being. Thank you so much for such a wonderful, relaxing, restorative vacation!!! :-)
