BlankSlate Bus#7 is a 1999 BlueBird that we here at BlankSlate have turned into a relaxing woodland escape. The indoor hammock, tile shower and all the lounging areas, make this the perfect spot to unplug relax and recharge. Indoor tile shower/bathroom, indoor kitchen are the perfect upgrades that make roughing it in this Skoolie even more magical. Book lovers rejoice in all the cozy spots to get wrapped up in a good book. Please feel free to participate in the take one leave one book exchange.

The bus was cute, a lot of reviews are complaining about bugs and spiders, but I don't know what people are expecting with a bus in the woods. There's also a lot of complaints about mould on the curtains, however the state is humid and I didn't see any mould, just rust stains on the curtains. Which isn't dirty, it just seems like par for the course. The bus was clean, there were plenty of tools to cook with and a fridge. The biggest complaint I had was the mattress is old and not very comfortable. Other than that the stay was what I expected.

Never again

Upon arrival it was hotter inside the bus than outside. The smell of mold with some kind of heavily spayed fragrance to try to cover it was highly overpowering. You have to reach down and turn the valve to the toilet on and off everytime you use it. We tried to reach the owner who never contacted us but instead had a friend call us. Instead of offering a refund they offer 20% back. After the first night we were both sneezing and coughing the next day. Curtains have mold on them and look like they haven't been cleaned in years. Spiders dropping on my head while im sleeping. Hot water in the 3 ft tall shower only lasts about 1 minute. We managed to stay 2 out of the 3 nights we paid for after both getting sickly from the living conditions. Was a great concept just very poorly maintained. I will never waste anymore money at this place and wouldnt recommend anyone else to either.

The camper converted from a Blue Bird bus was a refreshing and creative retreat from the humdrum! Good location near Claytor Lake!

Not good

The bus was filthy. Even worse so moldy we couldn't stay and had to find a hotel. My wife has asthma and the black mold on the curtains and around the bed area was too much. Spiders crawling all over the bus. I messaged the property manager 2 or 3 times before the cancelation deadline about traveling to and from Virginia tech and never heard back. The shower is so short and small . I guess it's ok if you're under 5' tall but I'm 6' so NG.

A bus adventure

The bus was awesome! Had everything we needed for a short stay. Comfortable bed, a nice fire pit, shower, toilet, and refrigerator. Lacking ample firewood scavenging. Suggest bring your own firewood. Recommend keeping your dogs away from woods as there were an abundance of brier prickers.

Family reunion. With brother never knew I had

It’s was ok be better if it had tv what you can watch if it’s raining outside. There was nothing to do . Couldn’t start fire or anything bc of the rain . So we left on Saturday afternoon bc we was bored. There was nothing to do. We don’t read books

Blue Bird

This was truly a neat little gem. Perfect mix of comfort and camping when you don’t want to pitch the tent. Stayed here for VaTech parents weekend when hotels were out of control. It’s about 30 min from there. We’d definitely stay here again.
