Fantastic place to stay

I highly recommend this property. The owners go over and above all expectations. Great location for touring Yellowstone (20 minute drive) and the Grand Tetons (2hour drive but worth it). So glad we chose to stay at “The Cub House”.

Location is conveniently located near restaurants, gas and grocery store. Located within 1/2 and hour to the west Yellowstone entrance. Rooms were clean, fully-stocked beautiful kitchen. Liked that they had a s’mores kit and some firewood for the fire pit. Rooms tended to get warm during the night though even though thermostat dial was set to 60 on lower level floor. Family didn’t see a thermostat in upper bedrooms? Overall, clean and family friendly house as there was a swing set, volleyball net and games outside :) house is set further in the property and the Mountain View and crisp air outside made it pleasant!

Cub Cabin was perfect

We loved everything about this vacation home. Clean, comfortable, great location and amenities. We would definitely stay here again. Wish we had time to experience the fire pit under the stars but will have to do that another time.

The house was incredible. Although,I thought the house had Central A/C, everything worked out just fine. it was cool enough (early Sept) at night to crack the window and run the fan in the downstairs bedroom. the living room had a portable air conditioner, So that was nice to have while hanging out at the house. The bathroom master bath was beautiful. Great job on the remodel. We had everything we needed in the Kitchen during our 4 day stay. A Special thanks to Dom in her above the call of duty to meet me in Idaho’s Falls to bring me my Lap top i forgot at the Cub House. I am truly grateful

Henry's Hatch Cabin was great!

Our stay at Henry's Hatch Cabin was great. The property manager was great to work with. Even when a crazy storm blew in one night and gave us some minor issues they were quick to respond and fix it. We'd be happy to stay here again anytime. Beautiful location, quiet neighborhood, and close access to Yellowstone while on a premier trout fishing lake!

Had a great stay.

Was a really nice little place to stay. Not far from the entrance for West Yellowstone. There was a nice little grocery store nearby. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The staff was quick to respond to my needs. If you are looking for a nice place a quick drive from West Yellowstone I highly recommend.

The house is newly modeled, very clean and nicely designed. There is plenty of space for our children. The drive from the Yellowstone National Park to the house is very beautiful. We will definitely come back in the future.

Great Memories captured!

We had an awesome time here. So close to YSNP (West entrance). My kids had so much fun with the Air Hockey table. All the equipment is brand new and love the kitchen cutlery. I would definitely go back to this place. Lisa and Randy were really awesome and also very quick in their communication. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your CUB HOUSE.

The Cub House is Sweet as Honey!

Our stay at The Cub House in Island Park, ID exceeded every expectation! This modern, quaint and cozy cabin felt like home as soon as we walked through the door. Our phenomenal hosts, Lisa and Bear, really took time and effort in creating an environment of warmth and comfort. Great spot for family

We had a great stay here. Everything has been remodeled/updated. High end kitchen had everything we could need. Rooms were comfortable and everything was very clean. We enjoyed cooking out on the grill and sitting out by the fire pit. The kids enjoyed the playground equipment. Only about a 25 min drive to the west entrance of Yellowstone. Small (busy) grocery store across the road had a good selection if you need any staples while there. Hosts were very responsive and helpful!! Would recommend to anyone!

Wow!

This place impressed us and that's hard to do. It's a cooks dream, super clean, and crazy comfortable. The beds, towels, sheets, even carpets were soooo soft. There's a grocery store across the street and the gas station nearby. It was a quick trip to Yellowstone National Park. I would highly recommend this place. We even got to meet the owner who obviously cares about the property. They provided us a s'mores basket that my kids flipped over.

The house and fire pit were awesome. Glad no one was in the other house as you share a common area. I did not see this listed on the Vrbo listing. Only real problem we had was with obtaining some of the amenities listed. Internet and TV out most of the time we were there.

Randy and Lisa Saved Our Vacation!

We had a rental in W. Yellowstone get cancelled last minute due to water damage. I believe no more than a couple weeks before we flew out... We found this property, and are beyond thankful that we did. The house is immaculate, well decorated, and felt like home each day coming back from the park. Randy and Lisa were wonderful hosts. Accommodating, kind, and a pleasure to speak with. Don't overlook what Idaho has to offer! Mesa Falls, horseback rides at Harriman State Park, Henrys Lake State Park, and more. Very easy scenic drive to Grand Teton. Do yourself a favor and book a stay here. You won't regret it!

The Cub House

The Cub House is a beautifully designed repurposed barn/cabin in a quiet neighborhood that provided us (a retired couple from NH) with five star accommodations during our exploration of Yellowstone National Park and the surrounding area in late May 2023. It is conveniently located in Island Park, ID just 75 minutes Northeast of Idaho Falls, ID via Route 20 and 30 minutes South of the West Yellowstone, MT entrance to Yellowstone National Park. We were the first guests to stay at the Cub House following recent enhancements to the property. The ground floor features a fully equipped kitchen with premium appliances, granite countertops, dining area, remote work space, living room with gas stove/heater, master bedroom with a gas wall fireplace and en suite bathroom, an additional half-bath, and a full size washer/dryer. The second floor has two bedrooms (total three beds) and a bathroom with shower. An outdoor gas grill, fire pit, fiberoptic cable internet and wide screen televisions are also provided. A small grocery store, coffee shop, restaurants, the Flat Ranch Nature Preserve, Henry’s Lake, the Island Park Reservoir, Harriman State Park and hiking trails are all within walking distance or short drives from the Cub House. The hosts, Lisa, Randy and Brenda, were readily available by phone/text/email for any questions about the property or the local area. The ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cub House will be our first choice for accommodations for our next trip to the area.

A Family Vacation at Cub House

Pros: Location relative to Yellowstone and nearby lakes is great. Lots of outdoor activities in area. Property interior is well done and kept. The VRBO listing was not clear that some amenities are by request, so we arrived to no travel crib or high chair but host quickly responded and resolved. Thanks! Cons: a) window shade in room with double beds is not blackout and with no curtains were unable to make room dark for kids to sleep well with long summer daylight. b) outdoor amenities and space are shared with a property that holds ~30 people. We figured we missed this detail but re-read VRBO and Casago property descriptions,etc and cannot find it. Shared amenities are just outside Cub House so when space is in use it’s more disruptive to guests of Cub House than other property. While there are two fire pits, guests of the other property used one adjacent to the Cub House til midnight. We had windows open to cool rooms in the evening but were forced to close them due to the smoke, making it uncomfortably warm for sleeping. The large group was often using everything in the evening making it difficult for us to use the space. They also left garbage at fire pit, did not place items back after use, and their children pulled the horseshoe stakes out of the ground and threw them. We feel more clarity could be provided to future guests by explicitly outlining shared outdoor amenities and space in the property description. Having this understanding upfront would have been a plus.

Amazing getaway!!

This house was beautiful and perfect for us. It was super clean, very quiet and comforable. It's close to town and all the services. We had a trailer with a 4-wheeler and float boat and their was plenty of room to turn around and to store our bikes and boat in the garage when we weren't using them. We would absolutely stay again!!
