Get away from it all! This new listing is a super cool renovated guest house.

Quiet respite, or romantic getaway. Cozy Elm wood stove right off the kitchen, & a new heat/air pump upstairs. The bedroom looks out onto an expansive deck with a private forest. Has a brand-new washer/dryer, brand-new fixtures, hand-crafted live-edge trim & a sweet new bathroom with heated floors.

This house can either be rented separate private rental or along with the bigger main house, [gorgeous 3BR 2BA sleeps 8 - https://www.vrbo.com/pe/321.906082.1454023/cs ] as extra space for family/friend overflow [2 or 3].

We had such a wonderful time. The house was amazing, the deck in the trees and view of the mountains were splendid. The hosts Susan and Matt were great. Would definitely go back again. Thank you guys for a perfect Vermont retreat!

Winter Break Relaxation

Susan and Matt’s guest house was the perfect getaway for our three member family. It’s located under 15 minutes to Sugarbush, one mile away from Blue Berry Lake (cross country skiing), and 10-15 minutes from a ton of great local restaurant options. The house is laid out very well with all new amenities. They also had a lot of great books to read if you are looking for a quiet place to relax and recharge. We really loved everything about our stay and would definitely stay here again in the future.

Beautiful Home for Rest and Renewal

I spent a few days in this beautiful, quirky home by myself as I just needed to get away for some healing and renewal. Everything matched the description. It was lovely and comfortable, and sitting outside on the deck reading surrounded by the woods and the mountains was so relaxing. I felt alone in the middle of nowhere (almost), but then got in my car and easily made my way to restaurants in 15 or so minutes. An unexpected bonus was seeing the other homes nearby in similar architectural styles, both unique and exquisite. I highly recommend anyone staying here, especial someone alone or a couple.

Wonderful Spot in Prickly Mountain

The guest house is a beautiful contemporary (and to code!) interpretation of the many incredible improvisational houses in the Prickly Mountain area of Warren. Loop Rd. is an ideal location - 5 minutes to town and 10 to Sugarbush. The house itself is new and has everything you could possibly need. Further, Susan and Matt are beyond helpful and accommodating. Would absolutely rent again.

Amazing location - Cozy small home!

This cool and cozy home was perfect for our vacation/wfh at Sugarbush. It is convenient to all the great activities in the MRV - super close to Sugarbush mountains, and the lovely restaurants and shops of Warren and Waitsfield. It is perfect for a couple - we loved the wood stove, the comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Hosts were great, though we didn’t need them during our stay. It was an all-around perfect 2 weeks!

Great property, lots to do in the area. Great host, he recommended we take a drive up to Stowe which was Awesome and without his tip we most likely would have never got to experience the great town that it is !

Prickly Mountain personified

Susan and Matt's property (aka Pinhead's house!) is a fantastic place to spend time in the Valley. If you like architecture and/or sustainable construction, this is your spot - you're literally in the roots of the design build movement. The location is excellent no matter though - remote in the way you want the Valley to be, but close to all food, drink, and exploring. The views from the house, especially looking back on Mt Ellen and Lincoln, are stunning and perfectly situated for the setting sun. My daughters and I rented the main house and the guest house for family and friends to visit. If you're looking for privacy, I recommend doing the same as the guest house is right there. For us, it was the ideal setup - allowing us to share our vacation while still having our own space. This one's an easy yes!

Great place to get away from the daily grind!

I had wonderful experience at the beautifully designed guesthouse. The house was immaculate, with all the comforts of home. Very quiet except for the peaceful chirping of the birds.

Unique Mountain Getaway!

I was lucky to stay at Susan's renovated guest house for a few weeks. It was the perfect balance of rustic and modern! There's a vintage wood stove, a new kitchen, and a huge patio with views of the woods (and mountains in the winter/spring). Located just up the road from ski resorts, lakes, swimming holes, and hiking trails, it was easy to get out in nature no matter the season. I loved driving the neighborhood and seeing the unique architecture of Prickly Mountain. It felt like an authentic peak into this historic Vermont community. It was ideal feeling tucked away in the woods, while still having easy access to the mountain towns nearby (Warren & Waitsfield) for shopping, restaurants, and excursions! Some other perks: efficient washer/dryer, dimmable lights/ great natural lighting, and a new bathroom with heated floors. Susan was an incredibly kind, caring & responsive host. I will definitely be back to explore this perfect little guesthouse again!
