La casa di Nonno, Villa & Spa

"La Casa di Nonno", my grandfather's house, completely renovated with taste, has been designed to stay with (large) family or friends, Italian style, to enjoy outdoor sports, or idleness, and live the dolce vita, to the delight of young and old alike. Here children will be in paradise! A dedicated sleeping area, a games room, outdoor play areas. You will stay in the heart of the mountains with a view of them and the old village.
Villa of 250 m2, offering 18 beds in 7 bedrooms including a large dormitory equipped for children but accessible to adults because the mattresses are for adults (6 to 8 beds in this dormitory) with games, books and toys.
The villa has two levels:
⁃ on the first floor (accessible by an external staircase and also by an internal staircase), 3 bedrooms including 1 master bedroom with shower and sink with a view of the village, 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom and toilet, a huge room of 65 m2 open with a family kitchen equipped for cooking, a large dining room suitable for 20 people and a cozy living room, all with a view of the mountains and the village. A separate toilet upstairs in addition. And a terrace with a bar with a view!
⁃ On the first floor, accessible by the internal staircase and also directly from the outside, a large adult games room (table football, billiards), a large dormitory room decorated for children with 2 bunk beds (each a double bed and a single bed + a trundle bed) and many games and toys, books; 1 bedroom with a 90 cm bed and an office, with a bathroom with shower and double sink and adjoining toilet and 2 other bedrooms and a bathroom with double sink shower and a separate toilet.
⁃ Outside, a terrace for lunch in large numbers, with a barbecue and a plancha, a petanque court, a cosy brazier area and garden furniture, an outdoor area dedicated to sports with machines, a garden, a slide and a children's hut.
- also outside, from mid-October 2026, with an additional paid option, a 6-person spa in a cosy corner is available, with a mountain view (200 euros for a stay of less than 5 nights and 400 euros for a stay of 5 nights or more).
The surroundings offer multiple sports and outdoor activities: Natural gorges for swimming 10 and 20 minutes away (Gorges de Colombieres and Girges d'Heric), private and immediate access to the Passapaïs greenway going from Bedarieux to Mazamet (80 km one way) Accueil vélo label, bike rental possible a few minutes from the neighbouring village (accessible by the greenway), tree climbing in Colombieres and Bedarieux, several equestrian centres, city stadium right next to the house with direct access (football, basketball), 9-hole golf course in Lamalou les bains (5 minutes by car and also accessible by the greenway), canoeing, fishing, many hikes and trail trails on the Caroux or the Espinouze, many mountain bike trails in exceptional sites, great karting in Laurens. The town of Lamalou les bains is also a spa town, as is Avene which is located 30 minutes away. It has a casino and many restaurants. The Salagou lake is 30 minutes away by car, the beaches of Valras 45 minutes away and the Salvetat lake 50 minutes away.
In the village you will find a restaurant where everything is homemade, a grocery store, a bakery pastry and chocolate shop, a bar and a tobacconist's shop, as well as a pharmacy. Everything is quickly accessible on foot. The nearby villages have many restaurants, a casino, a market hall, supermarkets (Lidl, Intermarché, carrefour, netto), pizzerias, etc. Along the greenway very close to the house, you will find a guinguette offering food, aperitifs and concerts in summer, and further on a snack bar offering lunches and brunch. Children's games face the guinguette (3 minutes walk).
Optionally, household linen can be provided, as well as towels (see with the concierge). Two travel cots and a high chair are available.
Cleaning fees (before arrival and at the end of the stay) are included in the price.
Tourist tax applicable to adults.
No parties allowed, any meal or aperitif, or other taken on the terrace, in the garden, outside or in the house, must respect the neighbors and not cause noise pollution.
Our pet friends are not allowed.
The owners or the concierge are likely to visit the house at any time.
