The house is accurately depicted in the listing. I believe that construction was completed in December 2025. The appliances were all new, clean and problem-free. We did not try using the outdoor grill. The main area, which was the combined kitchen and living room with large flat-screen TV, was spacious and led right out to the dining room table on a covered patio beside the small, but still very welcome pool. The house is located literally only a couple of minutes away from the main road that borders the beautiful beach in the centre of Les Anses d'Arlet. Our host, Sandra, was very understanding of our slightly late arrival in Martinique, caused by delays at the airport in Montreal. We communicated with her in French, by phone, text and in person, and I can't remember if any English was used. We had no problems at all during our 10-day stay, and so we had no need to communicate with Sandra before the day when we checked out. Parking at the house was a bit tricky at first because of a gravel driveway that is shared with two local residents. Occasionally a car belonging to a guest of the residents needed to be moved to provide access for our car to and from the paved parking spot at our house. This was not really a problem since the residents were friendly and were prompt about moving any cars that were in our way. The pool was small but was a useful supplement to the nearby beach. Some of us used the pool to do their aquasize routines.
