Bring everyone together at this spacious **entire ski chalet** in the heart of Girdwood. With two private apartments under one roof, this property offers the comfort of shared gathering spaces while giving families and groups the privacy of separate living areas.

The chalet includes **five bedrooms** across two units. The upstairs apartment features three bedrooms, including a loft with mountain views, while the downstairs apartment offers two additional queen bedrooms. Each unit has its own fully equipped kitchen, living room with streaming TV, and bathroom, making the property especially well suited for multi-generational families, ski trips, reunions, and group vacations.

Located within walking distance of **Alyeska Resort**, restaurants, breweries, shops, and local attractions, you'll enjoy one of Girdwood's most convenient locations. The free village shuttle provides another easy way to explore the community throughout the season.

The chalet blends modern comfort with local history. Built in 1964 and expanded in 1978, the lower level once operated as a gift shop for travelers before becoming Girdwood's bike shop. Today, the preserved Alaska-themed mural celebrates the property's unique place in the community.

Pets are welcome upon approval. A pet fee of $30 per pet, per night applies. Please note that Expedia's booking system (or other affiliated channels) may not collect the pet fee at checkout. If you are traveling with a pet and the fee is not included in your reservation total, we will collect it separately after booking. By booking with a pet, you acknowledge and agree to this additional fee. For extended stays, please inquire about monthly pet rates. Pet fees help offset the additional cleaning and maintenance required to keep our pet-friendly properties clean and comfortable for all guests.

Great place to stay

The two separate units are nice so that if you have a group of folks, one group can be up and about without disturbing the other. This is my second time staying here, and it's a great value!

Clean, spacious, pleasant

Our group stayed here while attending a wedding in Girdwood. The location was great--very walkable to the center of town--and the house itself was perfect. The upstairs unit in particular has a lot of character, and all the rooms were great for our purposes.

Great house, great location

The house is as advertised, clean and has everything you need. But the best part for us is that is directly across the street from the Girdwood Brewery which has amazing beer and food trucks. And you can easily walk to coffee shops and restaurants

Everything we were looking for!

Kelli & this property was amazing! They were so accommodating to get us an early check in for our friends and family coming in from out of town. The location was perfect, so close to the brewery and just a short walk to town. Everyone loved the mural outside.

Great place to stay-super convenient!

Great place to stay for a big group. Right across from the Girdwood brewing company. We even got to see a little black bear during our stay! Only thing that was a bummer was that it was a coin operated laundry machine. We only stayed there one night and just wanted to do a couple loads since we just came from camping, but unfortunately didn't have any coins on us after checking in after 4pm. I just feel like for over $1500/night (not even for 24 hours) it would have been nice to at least been able to do that.

updates needed

The beds could use mattress toppers. they were all pretty hard beds in nature. the downstairs kitchen was scant with supplies to cook. Steak knives needed, platters for serving would be good. with the heat of the weekend the cleaner could have put all fans on while she was cleaning It was over 80 degrees upstairs.

Thanks for the feedback. We will look at the kitchen inventory and make sure there are plenty of cookware and dishes for people this week. The beds are all medium firmness. We just replaced one mattress upstairs which had a few complaints about it being too soft. We will keep an eye on this feedback.

Location convenient

Location convenient and a good stopping point before flying out the next day. Ate at top Mt. Alyeska...beautiful. This VRBO is more of a dorm style chalet. Only 1 full bathroom for 3 bedrooms. Did have room darkening curtains that were helpful for a June stay. Floors are squeaky, and beds were too soft upstairs 7 adults rented both units and was a tight fit due to only 1 full bathroom for upstairs use. Did have 1 USB light port on a bedside lamp

This property is in a prime location and has pretty views, but the house itself is in fair condition and requires many updates and electrical maintenance. There are extension cords everywhere in the house and most of the windows need treatments replaced. The bottom unit has no walk way, pavers would go a long way. The kitchen was basic and okay, no soap to wash dishes.

I'm glad you like our location! The windows were scheduled to be replaced this fall, but they haven't gotten to us yet. We hope this gets done soon. I'm sorry there was no dish soap. We definitely do provide it and we must have missed it. I will address this with the cleaners. Thank you.

Chalet gallery stay.

Clean, adequately furnished, beds comfortable. Lower unit was musty and damp. Many of the windows did not have screens. One bedroom had no screens. As a result the upper unit was very hot and we could not cool it down. There was no way to open the bathroom window without removing the screen. That screen was broken.

Thank you for your feedback. We have been trying to get the windows replaced for over a year. We hope they will get to us in October this year. With the new windows we will have new screens so we hope to get this resolved soon. Fortunately we don't have that many hot days in this area and we have a ceiling fan as well as an additional fan in every bedroom. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Great location, high price, loud heater

The property is monitored with cameras, above each door and the driveway-which is fine except that it isn't disclosed anywhere in the listing that there are cameras, which is a violation of vrbo policies. I understand wanting to protect/monitor the property but it should clearly be stated that's happening before guests arrive- per VRBO policy.Despite the listing saying parties are allowed , when I asked to have guests who were not saying at the property over for dinner the host replied only two extra guests would be permitted who had to leave by 9pm, granted we were already ten people but it would have been nice to be able to congregate at the place with friends for dinner before heading out for the night - gone by 9 pm anyway.The property sleeps ten, in five beds, but charges per person. The heater in the living room beeps every few minutes, all day and night. Overall It seems like a high price for an older property, with a disruptive heater and monitoring without notice. The location is great. have guests
