We recently stayed at this property during a trip to Paris, and unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations.The listing photos were misleading. The apartment felt less like a professionally managed rental and more like staying in someone’s personal space while they were away. Personal items were left behind (including things like nail clippers, SHOES, and partially used toiletries, etc), and overall cleanliness was below standard.There was also significant renovation work happening in the building during our stay, including signage referencing pending asbestos-related work. This was concerning and not disclosed in advance especially because we told them we were bringing our young child. there were also a lot of personal items of the homeowner left behind which were not child friendly. Luckily, we’re only working with one child and no issues but this was absolutely not a family friendly apartment.The layout was another major issue. While advertised as a two-bedroom, it’s essentially divided by a wall without true privacy with noise and visibility between spaces were a problem, especially with very creaky, loud floors that made moving around disruptive.The only positive aspect was the host’s accommodation of our late arrival. Overall, I would not stay here again and would not recommend this property. To be honest, this was our first VRBO rental and if this is whatVRBO offers, we will never be staying at hotels or continue to use the other platform.
