Welcome to Grandma's Bedroom, a private room with a private bathroom in a shared Tudor-style home in Juneau's Mendenhall Valley. This is an affordable lodging option for travelers who want a comfortable private room while sharing the larger home's common spaces with other occupants.

The room is located on the second level and includes a king-sized bed, two nightstands, lamp, dresser, casual chair, mirror, and private bathroom.

The five-bedroom, three-bath home features spacious common areas with granite countertops, a full kitchen, dining area, living room, TV room, laundry room, and two additional full bathrooms. Each bedroom is rented separately, so other guests or long-term residents may be present during your stay.

The property is conveniently located near public transportation and offers plenty of parking. The bus stop is just steps from the front door. Juneau International Airport is approximately 2.5 miles away, Mendenhall Glacier is approximately 2 miles away, the University of Alaska is about 4.5 miles away, and the ferry terminal is about 6 miles away.

Mendenhall Glacier can be reached by car or on foot using the nearby paved bike path and gravel trail system. This property is in the Mendenhall Valley rather than Downtown Juneau, making it a practical choice for travelers who want easier access to the glacier and valley attractions.

Self check-in is available with a lockbox, so late arrivals are not a concern. Check-in begins at 4 PM and check-out is at 11 AM. Early arrival or late departure may be available for a $50 fee, subject to availability.

We want guests to have a clear understanding of what they're booking. The private bedroom and bathroom should be clean and ready for arrival. The shared portions of the home are used by other occupants and are cleaned approximately twice each month, so they may show normal signs of shared household use.
