Hemlock Hideaway at Red River Gorge is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin that can sleep up to 10. The cabin features a pool, hot tub, game room, and electric vehicle charger on a private 2.5 acre setting. The home has two king sized beds, three full sized beds, a twin trundle bed, twin sleeper chair and queen sleeper sofa. There is a fully stocked kitchen and free onsite laundry. All of this and so much more and only a 20 minute drive to the Red River Gorge, Natural Bridge State Park area.
We hope that while you are here you take time to look at the stars, go fishing, take a walk, catch a sunrise or sunset, go for a swim, enjoy time with good company, relax and unwind, sleep in, make a campfire, and make many good memories! House Rules
We appreciate our guests and how they take such great care of our cabin! While staying with us we ask that you follow the rules we have listed below.
Check in begins at 4pm and check out is at 11 am. Please note that arriving early or departing late will result in additional charges.
You may not book if you live locally without asking for permission and letting us know why you need a place in town. We reserve the right not to rent to local residents.
You must be at least 21 years old to book our cabin.
To protect the host and the guest, we must verify all guests ahead of the stay. Please be aware that as part of the verification process each guest may be required to provide a copy of their government issued photo ID and contact information.
There is no smoking inside our home. If you smoke outside, please clean up after yourself. At checkout if there is a smell of smoke inside the home there will be a $50 per day charge for extra cleaning.
We do permit dogs in our home for an additional $100 per dog. Please note that this is for dogs only, no other animals. Please no more than 2 dogs. NO CATS, NO EXCEPTIONS. Please note that before bringing a pet, during your booking process indicate you are bringing a dog and the fee will be applied.
A $350 per dog will be charged for any dog not disclosed when booking. When you are not at the cabin with the dog(s) they MUST be in a crate or left outside in the pet area. The pet area is behind the garage and you may use it as you like.
For parking please feel free to use the middle garage or the driveway. No parking in the grass.
There are no parties permitted on the premises. If there is a party, your reservation will be immediately terminated without a refund.
This cabin, while offering deluxe accommodations, is also in a remote area. Occasionally, guests may experience weather conditions or power outages that are beyond our control. In the event that this happens, we will do all we can to assist, but we are not responsible for circumstances beyond our control. There will be no refunds for these instances.
We make every effort to keep the hot tub functioning properly as it is the most requested amenity. However, mechanical problems may occur that cannot be resolved quickly in this remote area and per our rental agreement, no refunds will be made because of this. If there is an issue with the hot tub, please know that we will make every effort to fix the problem as soon as we can.
Our cabin accommodates 10 guests, including children. The number of people in the cabin may not exceed the number of people on the reservation. Only guests listed in the booking will be allowed on the premises. Immediate removal of guests (and all extra persons) from the property, without a refund, will be a result of violating this rule. If there is a disturbance, with more guests than specified in the booking, each person at the home will be charged a $50 fine.
Indoor furniture is not to be rearranged. Scooting furniture on the hardwood floor can leave scratches.
During your rental, if house rules are not followed, which triggers a discount or refund to the next guest, you will be responsible for any lost income by the host.
All items in the kitchen including silverware, pots/pans, plates, cups, flatware, etc. have been counted and any item removed from the premises will be charged to the guest. This also includes towels, pillows and linens.
Please be respectful of the bed sheets and towels. Makeup/foundation, face creams/medication and tanning spray can stain or bleach the linens. Guests will be charged for unsalvageable linens that are ruined during the duration of the stay.
If your plans change for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible. Our cancellation policy is strict. No refunds are permitted due to sudden inclement winter weather, but come anyway and get snowed in! It’s beautiful when it snows at Hemlock Hideaway! We will accommodate a late checkout at no additional charge in the event that the roads are hazardous on your departure day.
Please be aware that no refunds are permitted for cancellations on holiday rates, which includes but is not limited to, New Year’s weekend, Labor Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, or Christmas. For a possibility of a full refund, you will be given the option to purchase renter’s insurance during the booking process.
Hot tub and pool rules
White towels must always remain inside the cabin. We provide beach/pool towels for you to use outside the cabin. They are located inside the linen closet in the downstairs bathroom.
No glass inside the fenced area. This includes inside the pool and inside of the hot tub. Please use disposable cups and plates inside the pool deck area.
Pool floats and toys are located in the pool shed. Feel free to use whatever you would like and return them when you are finished.
No wet bathing suits or towels on the beds, please. This can leave stains and ruin the bedding.
Please do not use lotions or oils on your skin before entering the hot tub. This creates a film in the hot tub that is hard to remove.

Entering the home
You will need to enter and exit the house through the back door. The code to unlock the back door is 0205 and then hold down the pound sign until it is unlocked.
Locking the back door
To lock the back door you only need to hold down the pound sign until it is locked. No code is needed.
Video Cameras
We have two cameras outside of the home. One is located so that we can see the driveway area and the other is facing the gravel driveway. It is also connected to our personal cell phones just so we can watch the property when no one is there. When motion is detected the camera will automatically capture a video while it detects movement. We will not use these for anything other than a record of who has entered and exited the home.
There are NO cameras inside of the home.
Extra blankets, towels, pillows, etc.
The closet in the master bedroom has all extra blankets, pillows and linens for the beds.
Extra blankets for the living room are located in the chest that is under the window in the living room.
Extra travel coffee cups are in the butler’s pantry.
Extra paper towels are above the washer and dryer in the cabinets.
Please feel free to use the extra hair dryer that is under the bathroom sink.
Iron and ironing board are in the closet across from the downstairs bathroom.
If you need a mop, broom or vacuum during your stay you will find it in the closet across from the master bedroom.
Using the TV
The TV in the living room and both upstairs bedrooms are smart TVs. You should be able to use the remote control to login to your Netflix, Amazon account, or any other account that you subscribe to.
Please note that we have purchased the fastest WiFi speed available in the area, but you are in a remote area and this is the best they offer. If you have multiple devices connected to the WiFi it will run slower. The less amount of devices connected to the WiFi=faster WiFi.
We do offer satellite internet TV and the remote control for it is on the coffee table.
We also have a DVD player in the living room and the upstairs bedroom that has a king bed.
DVD movies are located in the bottom cabinet in the butler’s pantry.
Please don’t forget to log out once you are finished.
WiFi
The password to the Wi-Fi is located on the side table beside the couch close to the front door.
Gameroom
This is one of our favorite parts of the home! We hope you get to enjoy it while you stay with us.
The gameroom is attached to the garage. You have to enter the code 0717 to enter the gameroom.
You will need to turn on the games you wish to play. When you are done, please turn them back off.
The “salt” on the shuffleboard table is supposed to stay on. It helps the pucks slide easier. Please do not wipe it off.
Feel free to take the connect 4 game outside! It makes for a fun yard game!
Garage Parking
The garage in the middle is yours to use for the duration of your stay. If you wish to use it, you will need to enter a code on the keypad of the garage. The code to the garage is 0717.
Sometimes you will need to push the enter button twice to get the garage to open.
To close the garage enter the code 0717 and push enter. Just like opening, you might have to push enter twice.
Extra Beds
We have lots of extra sleeping places! The couch along the stairs turns into a bed. Note that linens are not on the bed. If you sleep in it, linens are in the master bedroom closet.
Animals
Please note that this is a rural area and many people let their pets roam free. It is not uncommon to see a dog on our property. While we have never had any issues, we are not held liable for any interactions you have with animals while staying at our property.

This property is a one of a kind in the area. While it offers beautiful views, it also offers many other unique amenities. The location is great as it is a 20 minute drive to Red River Gorge, Miquel's pizza and Natural Bridge State Park. It has an unground, private pool, a large hot tub, fire pit, outdoor bar, fenced in dog area, outdoor dining area, grill, game room, garage parking and fully equipped home. You will find everything you need and more to have a fun, relaxing getaway at Hemlock Hideaway at Red River Gorge.
