THE LAKE HOUSE

The Lake House is located in a private complex of eight houses, situated in front of one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, Lake Atitlán. The property is only a 15–20 minute walk or a 10-minute drive from the center of Panajachel.

Our friendly reception staff can help you call a local TukTuk (three-wheel taxi). The fare usually ranges between Q10.00 and Q15.00 (GTQ), depending on the time of day.

Lake Atitlán is the perfect place to relax with family or friends. The house features a spacious and beautifully landscaped garden, located just 30 meters from the lake shore. In front of the residential area, there is a public beach where you can enjoy swimming or simply admire the breathtaking view of the three volcanoes that surround the lake.

The house is located within a small and peaceful residential area in Panajachel, yet it’s close to everything. It is easily accessible by car or bus. In town, you’ll find local shops, international restaurants, pharmacies, supermarkets, and everything you might need for a pleasant and comfortable stay.

From here, you can explore the charming villages around the lake, each with its own character and traditions. Boats departing near Villas Jucanya can take you to towns such as San Pedro, San Lucas, and Santiago, all named after the apostles of Jesus.

Panajachel (or “Pana,” as it’s affectionately called) is the lake’s most vibrant and lively town. Along the famous Calle Santander, you’ll find craft markets, cafés, travel agencies, and restaurants. The town beautifully blends the cultures of local Mayan artisans, Ladinos, and international residents, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere.
