A rental agreement will need signed upon booking and a Refundable Damage Deposit of $300 will be charged to your credit card 3 days prior to arrival. This deposit will be fully refunded within 3 days after checkout, provided there are no damages or policy violations.

Location is awesome with plenty to do for everyone:

Our hosts were very helpful and flexible when we needed to bring our dog last minute. The house was very clean with lots of things to keep the kids and adults entertained like basketball, ping pong, pool and large TV for college football games. The fire pit was and hot tub was lovely out back as we watched a meteor shower one night. The house is an older farm house with the usual quirks that come with an older house. The location was great, close to the Hocking Hills State Parks as well as nice grocery stores and restaurants. All in all, a great Fall break! Thank you!

Ruby's Farmhouse was exactly as described. We visited the area to hike for a few days. The hot tub was nice to relax in after a few hours of hiking. The game room space also was a hit with our kids (ages 13, 11, 8). And, the property was exceptionally clean.

Home was very large and cozy, the game room was a huge hit with our group of teens and young adults, us old parents even got in on the fun! The yard was large, we actually brought our own badminton set and it was perfect. Hot tub was very nice too. The location was ideal, it was just 1 mile to Lake Logan and we spent most of our time there! The four bedrooms are all upstairs along with one of the bathrooms, one bedroom was off on its own and the other 3 were in like a big half circle with a bathroom in between 2 of the rooms, you had to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the other (the twin bed room) and that bedroom shared a jack and Jill bathroom with another one of the bedrooms. It was no problem for us because it was just our kids but I was curious about the room layout before we left so I thought I would explain it more. The second bathroom was just down the stairs so it was convenient for everyone to have easy bathroom access. It was a beautiful old farmhouse with EXCELLENT AC, which is a huge plus for me, another thing I worry about when renting a home. This home is definitely one we will return to, thanks so much!

Ruby’s Farmhouse was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do in the Hocking hills area. The Columbus Zoo was only about an hour away and all of the hiking trails 20 minutes or less. Wal-Mart and lots of food places within 5 minutes but the farmhouse itself is in a rural setting and it very peaceful. The game room was fantastic for a family with 4 late teen/ young adult children. The hot tub was well taken care of and we enjoyed it almost every night. One thing to note: there is no direct access to the upstairs bathroom. You can only access the upstairs bathroom by going through two of the bedrooms.This was not a big deal for us as there is another one downstairs but might be an issue for some families. Cute rooms and details though. Air conditioning keep us all nice and cool throughout the 90 degree temps every day we were there. We really enjoyed this stay and would recommend.

Ruby’s farmhouse was a great place for family, especially teens. Pool, ping pong, basketball, arcade and hot tub. The view out back was beautiful and sitting on the back deck was a good place to listen to the birds. Good spot to get to many of the trails in Hocking Hills.

Graduation weekend

The house is an old farmhouse but it was very clean and updated. Very close and easy access to Rte 33. The game room is great for kids & adults alike. We would have really enjoyed the double length table on the back porch if it had not been raining all weekend. The only part that threw us was that the upstairs bathroom is only accessible through either one bedroom on one side of the hall or through 2 bedrooms on the other side. Apparently this is info is available on the listing if you click on a link for further details or something, but we did not know that. This only the second time we have used VRBO. Also, the one bedroom entrance is a very deep step down which one of us mis-judged during the night. Be careful.

Wonderful Experience

We decided last minute to do a short trip and the owners were wonderful to work with on getting the reservations completed. They were patient in working with my error on the reservation. Overall this was a wonderful get away for us and our dogs.* The home is wonderful and very clean.* The back porch is huge, very relaxing, & the view is outstanding.* The owners are very responsive and helpful.* The backyard is terrific for pets and kids. Lots of room to roam & play. Also very clean.* Front yard is close to the road but the backyard made up for it.* We did not have a fire, but the firepit would be a wonderful place for smores.* The game room offers fun for individuals to group.* They offered us access to the basement when storms came through if there would have been a tornado warning. * Knowing there is a generator was a relief with all the storms but we did not loose power.* My husband is military and privacy / seclusion is what he needs to relax and this home did not disappoint.This property / owners earned & deserve every star of the five stars we gave.

Perfect for Families of Tweens & Teens

We visited Hocking Hills for the weekend to do some hiking. The Farmhouse was perfect for 2 families with tweens, teens and 2 dogs. The kiddos had a great time playing pool, pac man, ping pong, & basketball. The hot tub was a hit too! We hiked during the day and cooked 2 dinners in the evenings. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed (including baking sheets & a crockpot!).

Spring Break 2025

Perfect location for exploring the beautiful Hocking Hils area! Spacious yard with basketball hoop and swing set for the kids to run and play! Nice addition were the games set up in the heated garage and the nice big hot tub for relaxation after a long day of exploring! Also appreciated the fact that there was a high chair and baby gate that we could utilize for our 11 month old!

Great stay

The house was charming and clean, and had a well-stocked kitchen. The appliances were newer and straightforward to use. Our kids (ages 4, 11, and 12) LOVED the game room, which had a separate heater to keep it warm. The whole family enjoyed the hot tub. The yard is large, which was nice for our dog. The location is very convenient to a (new and nice!) Kroger and a Walmart, several restaurants, and nearby hikes. The house is off of a 55mph road, which is convenient but also a little nerve-wracking with a dog and a young child. But we just kept everyone in the backyard, which had plenty of space and things to do, so it ended up being a non-issue. The driveway is not very steep and even though we had two cars there, there was plenty of room to turn around to get back onto the road and good visibility- I wasn’t ever worried about getting from the house onto the road. Overall, we had a lovely time!

Great werkend

Loved the house and it’s close to everything by car. Only thing I would change is the tubs are very slippery with no handle for balance. I would add rubber mats and a handle for safety. The house was everything that was described and more. Thank you.

Nice hocking hills get away

We really enjoyed our time at the house. It was clean and provided plenty of space for Our family. Kroger was only a few miles away. only about 15 minutes from hiking in Hocking Hills. I think the only thing that would’ve been better is if we would’ve known it was on a busy road because we brought our dogs. If you have a dog that is a runner, luckily it could be dangerous. Management was extremely helpful when we asked her something to be done during our stay.

Great Stay

We loved the house and property. A very homey feel. The back porch fire pit and view was awesome. Very close to everything all attractions restaurants and stores. Just a great place to stay. Will definitely stay again in the fall.

Checking off a item on the bucket list

The home was as described. Farm house with all the amenities you need for a good time. Place was clean and cozy. The garage was an excellent place to have a game night. Ping pong, pool table and Ms PAC man. Plus a basketball arcade game. Enjoyed by all. Beds were comfortable. This place was just what we needed after two days of hiking at Hocking Hills. The location was close to restaurants. The location was very also close to a Wal-mart for a few cases of water and some breakfast supplies. Tammy was a great host. Responded to all my questions. Would recommend to anyone coming through looking for comfortable place to stay.

Perfect Hocking Hills Stay

We had a wonderful visit to Ruby’s Farmhouse. The house itself is really cute, well equipped, and plenty of room. We stayed with another family, and it was a great size for us. Kids loved the game room, relaxing in the hot tub after a day of hiking was a highlight, and enjoying amazing star gazing from the bonfire. Close to the freeway, hiking, etc. There is a negative review that gave me pause when booking, however the interaction with maintenance (needed a light bulb) was quick and effortless. The floor is an old original wood floor and it provides so much character. Would absolutely stay again! Thanks for having us!

Great place to stay!

We had a great time at Ruby’s Farmhouse. Lots of fun things to keep the kids occupied since it rained and was chilly much of the time. We couldn’t get the cable to work in the front room, which stinks during March Madness, but the TV in the game room worked just fine. It is conveniently located to the city of Logan, and only 30 minutes from Athens which was one of our main reasons for going. We weren’t able to do any hiking or visit Hocking Hills because of the weather, but there was plenty to do around the house and yard.

Beautiful farmhouse!

The farmhouse was so beautiful and peaceful! The cleanliness was by far the best we’ve ever experienced! The location was perfect and made it so easy to experience as much as we could. The recreation room was our favorite! Highly recommended to anyone who wants the most out of their stay!!

Rural relaxation

Very cozy house. Everything worked!! Games, hottub, toilets, sinks, tvs, jetted tub, everything. Had such a good time forgot check out..lol..staff was very nice and hospitable. My favorite was the night sky. On such flat plane the sky is everywhere. Had an awesome evening of a lit fire, cold beer and stars. Place has a swingset and adjustable basketball rim even.Only concern i had was the place had a few trip spots. Outside steps to the deck and a few upstairs. If you have little children they should be careful not to run around. Other than that A++ property.

Thanksgiving trip

My family found Ruby's Farmhouse to be very uncomfortable. Our stay was Nov. 23-27 but we ended up leaving a day early because of issues with the house. From the moment we arrived we were overwhelmed by the large number of flies and other insects both dead and alive. Two bedrooms and the upstairs bath were most affected. There also was a large number of flies collected in the overhead dining room light. We had trouble getting the dishwasher to work at first. The owners offered to send maintenance over but then we got it to work. On our second day our young granddaughter was walking through the dining room and a loose floor board broke and her leg slipped thru. There was no sub floor. The owners did send maintenance to repair that. When I texted the owner about the flies, they responded saying that there was a walk through 2 hours before we arrived and nothing reported.
