Historic Main Street Heritage Retreat

Come enjoy the perfect Main Street spot. Directly above popular shops and restaurants, night scene (Please note this unit is above a bar with live music), and you are minutes away from Ameristar Casino. Please keep in mind we are surrounded by a nightlife atmosphere with live music that can be heard during the evening. This large owner's suite has the perfect flow from the living room to the kitchen and beautiful views overlooking Main St.

This large owners suite has the perfect flow from the living room to the kitchen and beautiful views overlooking Main St. The bedrooms both have a King bed and there is a sleeper sofa in the living room.

We would also like to note, there are a good amount of stairs in the back of the building that are required to enter the building. Reference the pictures for a better idea of the entrance to the unit.

Although we do not like fees in order to maintain our units we must make you aware of the following:

We are ONLY dog friendly. To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all guests a non-refundable fee of $125 per reservation will be charged to cover additional cleaning costs. Pet fees are NOT included in the original reservation price or room rate provided. Any applicable pet fees will be added to your reservation MANUALLY and charged AFTER booking.

If you do not honor our pet policy (dog only disclosure) you will be fined $200.

Strict NO SMOKING policy. If you smoke inside you will be fined $250.

We are not responsible for items left behind by guests. If you leave an item behind and you want it to be sent back to you. We charge $25 for that item to be shipped plus the shipping costs.

Any stay greater than 21 days will require an additional long term cleaning fee of $50 that will be MANUALLY charged after reservation confirmation.

An unapproved late check-out fine is $50.

The apartment was great! We loved it! Close to everything; shopping, nightlife, great restaurants! We stayed to be close to our son who is attending LU, and it was so convenient!

The property is well maintained, clean and quite modern in a great location of St Charles. Communication with the manager was outstanding and effortless. My one complaint is that the property is DIRECTLY above a nightclub/bar which is glaringly absent from the property listing/description. That omission should not be a listing omission as there was excessive noise until 2 AM in the morning.

Easy to find, super easy check in, heads up: lots of stairs at this property! This location is at the very north end of Main Street located directly across from a night club, directly above a bar with live music, and 1 block down from a popular honky tonk so it is very noisy at night until about 1 am when everything closes down BUT you are right in the middle of all of the nightlife entertainment. My girlfriends and I had so much fun! The pictures of the balcony are a little deceiving- you have to climb out the window to get to it and it is tiny. We were very comfortable at this property and felt safe. The kitchen was adequately equipped, the beds were very comfortable, and the AC kept us cool in mid July.

This apartment is in an outstanding location in downtown historic Saint Charles. It is very clean and the host communicates very well. I would recommend this for people looking for a location in an area where there is an abundance of shopping, food, and nightlife. It is located directly above a bar, so manage expectations when it comes to noise and ambience.

Nice Place

It was nice place clean tidy and well renovated. The place is over a bar and I probably missed that in the description. We had a small baby and the music and sound in the living room was fairly substantial. Now this may not be typical and no fault of the owners, but something to be aware of. Once on second floor in bedrooms the sound was lessoned. If was just an adult trip with friends place would have been better fit.

Place was great! The location was perfect for us. Our kids loved all the games provided and we had fun walking around Frontier Park. Dustin was so easy to work with and a great host. We would definitely stay at this property again

Great, Cozy stay.

Great 2 bed apartment in the heart of main st. Be aware there are a lot of stairs. Unit is above a bar that can be a little loud at night. The bedrooms and bath are on the 2nd floor of the apartment up steep stairs. Very well decorated and has a lot of charm with the brick walls. Host was great to deal with when we couldn't locate the parking pass. One was delivered the next morning.

Great place

This place was awesome for a night away. We went to St Charles for my husbands 40th. Great location and walking distance to so much. The place was clean, decor was great and the beds were comfortable. We would definitely come back.

Disappointing

Was not impressed. Exterior entrance to rental was nasty & dirty. When checked in there was leftover food in the refrigerator and it did not feel like the kitchen & living room floor had been swept.

Quick trip to St Charles

Lovely place. Lots of stairs. Right in the middle of the nightlife. We had a great time. I don’t recommend leaving once you park. People fill up the spot. They don’t care what the signs say. We had to wait for someone to leave. Otherwise the apartment is great.

Great stay in St. Charles

The property was exactly as described. The location was great (right downtown). We were right across from and next to a bar. It wasn't too loud for us, but it was noticeable. If TV was on, it was fine. There are no TVs in the bedrooms. We had no problem with parking or check-in. Host was always very responsive. Plenty of bath towels but no washcloths and only one hand towel. Would definitely recommend this location if wanting to explore the historic area of St. Charles.

Reviews were misleading - disappointed

I am 100% a person who relies on reviews when selecting a rental. And I hate to give a bad review. This one looked good via reviews but I was very disappointed. The unit wasn't clean. There was exactly 1 hand towel in the entire apartment. No bath mat, the shampoo/soap dispenser in the shower was broken, there was a bar of hand soap but no soap dish in the bathroom so it sat and dripped all over the vanity. No kitchen towel to dry hands. Listing noted a keurig so we brought pods to find out a previous renter had broken it. So we had to go buy coffee grounds after we arrived. There was hardly any toilet paper. We actually ran out on our last morning there which wasn't good for 4 women on a girls weekend. I travel a lot and rent vacation rentals all over the US. There's a difference between someone who cares about their rental and the clients experience and someone who is strictly in it for the cash. A few suggestions - put protective mattress pads on the beds. Add some luggage racks in the bedrooms as there is nowhere to put a suitcase. Change the AC filters. There was a funky smell in the unit. Add some towels! Provide a bath mat and maybe some soaps and lotions procured from some local shoppes! There are plentiful options. Get a good cleaning crew. Add a shelf in the bathroom so you have somewhere to set clothes. And warn people that its above a bar with very loud music until at least 1am. Upstairs in the bedrooms was tolerable for noise, we all slept fine.

Noise from bar across road should be mentioned for the sake of families with children. After hours yelling and vehicles racing engines and backfiring.No problems with accommodation. Great location for history lovers and shoppers.

2 night getaway for a concert and checking out St. Louis.

Great stay… lots of stairs but not a huge deal and it is advertised in the listing. Great location for doing stuff in st Charles. Already looking forward to coming back some day. Thank you!
