Esta hermosa casa 6000 sq. Ft. Se encuentra en múltiples, privado, de gran tamaño Carmel-by-the-Sea lotes con vista al mar. Las características incluyen un gran salón con un crecimiento vieja secuoya natural, techos abovedados y chimenea de piedra. Ventanales tienen vistas a los hermosos jardines, patio y piscina al aire libre. El comedor tiene vistas a los jardines. La cocina incluye una mesa de desayuno. We just love the house, it is loaded with charm. The beach is just down the street so walking is the prefered activity. A very comfortable house for our family. We had a wonderful time!

This classic old Carmel property is a real visit to a simpler time. Our grandkids, staying at another house, loved the toy chest full of blocks, trains, and all kinds of toys. And of course the swimming pool, comfortably heated. The yard is immense. Kids kicked balls around the back. And it’s literally steps to the ocean. If you’re looking for luxe surroundings and top end everything, stay at a hotel. If you want space for a big family and a sense of home, stay here. The owner’s family has owned it forever, and love it.

Had the most incredible time at this home. It's very unique, well appointed, perfectly located and we had the most relaxing stay. Barbara and team were very responsive and while the house is rustic (it's what it makes it so charming!), the place was spotless. We had a 1.5 year old with us and the house had everything we needed - crib, highchair, toys, strollers - we only packed clothes! The outdoor space is unbeatable - massive yard front and back, BBQ, gorgeous ocean view, heated pool and beach just a short walk away. I rented a bike for the week and popped into town in a matter of minutes. I would highly recommend this special home and very much hope to return one day.

Perfect family vacation spot

Location can’t be beat, short half block walk to Carmel River state beach, few blocks from main Carmel beach. House has everything you need, all cooking utensils and spices needed to cook, beach towels and toys, games. Our extended family had a great time cooking meals and enjoying the amazing back yard when not at the beach.

Minnesota Family Early Spring at the Sea

A marvelous and magical home and location, this historic gem was perfect for our family stay. The house layout allowed kids and adults great spaces to play, relax and connect. The gardens and outdoor play spaces were great and the short walk to one of our favorite beaches was ideal.The owners were super responsive to our requests and questions. We are planning our return already.

US Open Volunteers

We are 6 guys who work as volunteer hole marshals every year at the US Open. This place was by far our favorite place to stay. Such a neat old house, very relaxing, and a great location for our work at Pebble Beach.

Perfect in Every Way!

We were privileged to enjoy this beautiful and well appointed home for a full week. The location felt 'tucked away' while still allowing us to be steps from the beach and a reasonable walk from Ocean Avenue and all the restaurants, shops and services of Carmel. When we weren't exploring the area we enjoyed being in the home and playing board games, chess or billiards. Using the outdoor pool on warm afternoons was also a treat! We dined in on several evenings, after hiking one of the nearby state or national parks, and found the kitchen well equipped for every kind of cooking and serving. All in all we found the home and its setting perfect in every way!

Charming home a few steps from a gorgeous beach

Awesome week! The house, pool & grounds were easy to enjoy. Very short walk to the beautiful Carmel River beach. We also played ping pong in the basement and shot pool on the table upstairs. We enjoyed having a fire in the living room's large stone fireplace one cool evening. We celebrated a wedding with a small dinner/reception in the back yard with the owners prior approval and it was amazing. Owner/manager were easy to communicate with and getting in was a breeze. The house looks just like the pictures. Highly recommend.

Perfect

This property was all we hoped for and more. With a pool, big lawn, grand piano, billiards and a chess board we were well entertained. We had two babies with us so appreciated the pool fence, the crib, the high chairs, stroller and stair gate! All were very helpful tools that we didnt' have to haul in our cars. The beds were fairly comfortable and the kitchen had all the supplies needed for food prep and serving. We mostly ate out but did grill once. Proximity to the beach and walking path were the favorite amenities! Thanks so much to the Love family. We hope to repeat this wonderful vacation next summer.

Superb location and a unique house in Carmel

The house is huge. Loads of space including a large living room with a piano and fire, a games room with large pool table, ping pong in the basement, and a very large garden (especially for Carmel). Also the pool has been recently redone and was welcome during our stay as the sun shone the whole week. The decor is “old fashioned” but quaint and fitting the Carmel old style and history of the house, We had one minor issue with the pool heating not being on and it took a couple of days until we could use it but the owner gave us some guest cards for Monterey Aquarium to make up for it and the issue was resolved as soon as they could The location of the house however is the standout for us. Right next to the quieter Carmel River Beach and you can see the ocean from the garden and hear the waves at night. We would definitely stay again !

Perfect in every way!

The Love home was perfect for our family vacation! Our three small families, 6 adults and 3 children, had plenty of room in this beautiful home. With several “living” spaces we always had space to ourselves if needed. The children enjoyed the books, games and toy box, not to mention the pool and large “grass” area in the back yard where we had many games of tag and soccer. The adults also enjoyed these areas, puzzles, pool, ping pong and the BBQ. Then there was the amazing beach that was just steps away. We walked every night enjoying the beach and beautiful area! Barbara and her team were prompt and a pleasure to work with. Thank you for sharing your home. We hope to visit again soon!

Amazing Carmel Mansionette

Everything was wonderful for our stay. Very charming home that has all the character of this original artsy community before super high end mansions starting being built. The property is huge, probably 3 times the lot size of many of the neighboring properties. The large pool only takes a fraction of the back yard. A true oasis just steps away from Carmel River State Beach and not too many more steps from the main Carmel beach. You can see the water and watch waves from the lower level of the property. Would love to make this an annual event. We stayed for 7 days, wish it was longer. We added the cottage too, which was adorable. We didn't get to use it, but a must if you have a larger family....even though the main house is huge. We didn't discover the basement with ping pong until day 2. I rarely do reviews, especially if I have something negative to stay, but I highly recommend staying here. This property requires consistent maintenance for the expansive landscaping and pool, guess it would be nice to have a heads up when pool people and landscapers were coming. Luckily my wife and I were always clothed since our kids were there. I only took mental photos so you'll have to see for yourself.

Amazing Family House w/ pool and large back yard steps from Mara Beach Carmel

The. Love. house. is. perfect. Location: Picturesque property with all of the space and amenities you could ask for barely 1/2 a block from the beach in Carmel. Views of the ocean are visible from the backyard. We could hear and fall asleep to the serene ocean when the windows are open. The architecture of the surrounding neighborhood in conjunction with the ocean views are simply stunning. We found ourselves wandering around each morning observing the magnificence of the houses in the neighborhood. Quaint downtown Carmel Is 1.5 miles (20 mins walking or 5 min car ride). Carmel Crossroads shopping mall is 5 minutes away if you need groceries or want to go shopping. Property: The layout and backyard are huge with lots of inside and outside space for activities. There are tons of board games and outdoor games in the garage. The pool was the right temperature to cool us off in the heat of the day. BBQ works well and was stocked with propane and necessary equipment/utensils. It features a large garage easily letting you fit 2 cars + 2 cars in the driveway and 2 cars can fit in front of the house if you needed the extra parking. The host and property manager were both very nice and left clear instructions on the check-in and out and pool usage. All in all, this is an 11/10 property and I highly recommend it. If I could come back each summer for the rest of my life I would!

Lovely Home in Carmel Point - Follow the Rules!

Overall, this property was perfect for my family of 9 and having spent a lot of time in Carmel is truly a one-of-a-kind finds. It is very close to the State Beach and an easy 20 min walk or drive / bike into Carmel town center. I would absolutely rent here again, the place was very clean, spacious and relaxing for us all without feeling like we were on top of each other but room to also gather. My communication with the host was very efficient, speedy and she is very responsive. We did run into two issues while we were staying at the property which were unpleasant. One is that there was a neighbor who was constantly monitoring us, especially on check-out day. He was staring at us from the street as we were loading our vehicles and ensuring all trash was placed in the proper receptacles. The other issue was a rental company who was supposed to bring 2 tables and chairs to the beach for a set up, who then refused to do so and left us stranded at the house with the furniture until a second truck was available for pick up a couple hours later. The rental company also left additional furniture (empty wine barrels) in front of the house that were not ours. During this chaos of dealing with the rental company, the host stopped by and we had an incredibly unpleasant exchange. I fully acknowledge this was against house rules; however both the host and we were in a complete bind on what to do as the rental company would not take the furniture until a second truck was available. We did ensure there were no additional guests at the house as we had an extended family beach day, but all to say that be sure to follow the house rules as this is very important and even through mistakes I wish the experience was different. In the end we both apologized for the missteps, errors and terse communication and I would stay there again. The house and location are lovely.

This beautiful home has been in the family since 1970. Four generations of our extended family have called this unique property "home".

We have a second home available to rent that is only one block away at 2442 17th Ave. It is available only for stays of 31 or more consecutive nights.
It is a smaller ocean-front home that sleeps 6.
