Upscale cabin in the north Ga. mountains on a peaceful pond. Pet friendly !

The Cozy Nest is the perfect place to relax, refresh, and recharge in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Georgia.
Situated in the quaint cabin village of Choestoe (land of the dancing rabbits),the Cozy Nest sits on a peaceful pond with its own private dock. This upscale cabin is approximately 1900 sq feet and has an all wood interior with soaring cathedral ceilings, 2 bedrooms each with its own on suite bathroom, screened in back deck, and charming gazebo with a firepit.
Master bedroom has a king bed & upstairs loft has a queen bed. Both beds feature plush pillowtop mattresses and luxury bedding. The cabin sleeps 4 comfortably.
There is a large fully stocked kitchen and a coffee & tea bar.
If you want to grill there is a charcoal grill on the deck adjacent to the kitchen.
For your safety and ambiance there is an electric fireplace
in the family room. The outdoor gazebo offers a wood burning firepit (starter pack of wood provided )so you can enjoy making smores around a crackling fire. When you are not out exploring all that Blairsville has to offer you can enjoy the cabins game room with ping pong ,jumbo checkers, puzzles, board games and a variety of books.
Outside the cabins front yard is a relaxing red swing for 2. The side yard has the gazebo with firepit, have your morning coffee or evening glass of wine on the backyards private dock as you watch the sun slowly set.
The Cozy Nest is pet friendly (we love the fur babies !). There is a pet bed,blanket,pet towel, pet bowls,leashes, and pick up bags for your furbaby !
(Pet fee is non-refundable) - Pets allowed: Up to 2 dogs of any size
$60 per pet, leash when outside/clean up waste.
The Cozy Nest has a great location between the square of Blairsville with its many shops & restaurants, and sites such as Vogel State Park, Brasstown Bald, Sunrise Market, and Helton Creek Falls,Pappys plaza ,Mimms Distillery,and Jims Smokin Q.
Getting to the Cozy Nest is easy on all paved roads that are not steep.

Donna was very nice, reaching out to me before our visit making sure the accommodations where adjusted for our family dog and checking if we where arriving later to see about turning some lights on. She had treats, water and more for us upon arrival. The house was very clean and organized. I even loved how they had the fire pit setup to start a fire with marshmallows and sticks.The Most Thoughtful and Best Property Managers through VRBO I have rented from.

We had a great time at the cabin. We had 2 dogs with us and they enjoyed all the extra perks like a dog bed, treats, and blankets for them. They enjoyed the electric fireplace the most. The owners were very communicative and provided a cozy, warm, and inviting place for us to relax. We loved the location and neighborhood.

Chuck and Donna were wonderful hosts. They checked in with us daily to see if we needed anything. The house was spotless. By far the cleanest place we have stayed in. Drawers and light switches were well labeled, making it easy for us to find anything that we needed. They absolutely thought of everything, including multiple fire extinguishers, a first aid kit, a sewing kit, fliers for restaurants, places to shop, Emergency numbers, even His & Hers bath robes. There is a small table/chairs and swing on the screened porch, chairs down by the pond, a game room with a small ping pong table, puzzles and an assortment of games. When we arrived there were snacks waiting for us, including some homemade brownies. They were delicious! Our only concern was that all of the sleeping pillows were firm. We normally travel with our own pillows, but didn't this time. We suggested that they provide both firm and soft pillow choices. We would definitely go back.

This is the third time we have stayed here, and every time it’s been absolutely perfect. The whole cabin is spotless, well decorated and very inviting. The large yard makes a wonderful place for the dogs to play. The kitchen and amenities are very well stocked.

This was the best rental we have EVER stayed in! The owners went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable - their hospitality was unmatched - they literally thought of everything! The cabin was spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need to feel at home. The cabin is in a perfect location for siteseeing. The area is quiet and safe and the screened in porch overlooking the pond makes the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation. The cabin is very easy to get to. The owners also make sure to extend hospitality to pets - such a wonderful thing since we were traveling with our family pet - our baby enjoyed her stayed also. I would stay at The Cozy Nest again and again!

Everything was as advertised. It was a great stay. Easy access to a multitude of activities around us. House was in excellent shape and cleanliness with easy access for the dogs to do their business.

My first cabin rental experience and we were thrilled with this beautiful ‘Cozy Nest’ cabin. The attention to detail in its furnishings and decor were superb. Our competitive spirit really enjoyed the game room which offered fun activities for everyone. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. It’s a great place for rest and relaxation. Blairsville was a cute, small town with very friendly people. The restaurants were awesome and we were able to enjoy our time in pet friendly locations. The property managers were very helpful and insured your experience would be amazing. The ‘Cozy Nest’ is highly recommended for your next stay in the Georgia mountains.

Wonderful Stay at The Cozy Nest

We had wonderful relaxing stay at this wonderful cabin. Chuck and Donna provided all the necessities needed for our stay utensils, pots, pans, plates, cups, coffee maker, etc. When we arrived they had left us a welcoming note, homemade chocolate chip bars and other snacks on the bar. We felt at home right away and took advantage of the screened in porch, especially on rainy days. The cabin is huge and there is plenty of room to lounge, watch TV, play games (even Ping Pong). The place is super clean also. They’ve done a nice job keeping the place looking beautiful. The neighborhood is very nice and there is a bridge down the road that you can look at the creek from. Chuck and Donna are two of the nicest people. They had us over to their fabulous place and we visited with them for a few hours. Chuck is a hoot and Donna is a sweetheart. It would be great to have them as neighbors! Someday maybe?

Weekend getaway- a complete success!

The Cozey Nest was the perfect choice for our family of 4 and dog getaway for the weekend! The home is absolutely beautiful, extremely clean and vey well maintained. Every little detail was thought of. Chuck and Donna couldn’t have been better hosts. Lovely people! We’ll be back! Highly recommended!

Wonderful Cabin, made a wonderful weekend

This lovely cabin was clean and so cute. Perfect for the girls weekend. The beds were super comfortable as well and the hosts checked in to make sure all was to our expectations. They had everything we needed and more. 😊 I will definitely visit again.

Fall Colors

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had amazing views of the fall colors on the property, the leaves dropping in the lake, and the surrounding areas. The location is good for access to many parks, trails, and waterfalls. Fortunately, the recent hurricanes did no apparent damage to any of the nearby areas. We travelled with friends, a close couple we have known for years. We all enjoyed a night around the fire pit. Chuck and Donna were responsive to our request for another hair dryer, as there was only 1 available. The only issue we had was that the upstairs loft area is not very private, and can be seen from below. Lights and sound from the living room and kitchen area can affect sleeping. The loft is probably better for families with children rather than for another couple.

Wonderful gem of a cabin

The location was central to all the things we wanted to do (apple picking, trails/falls, scenic drive, and Octoberfest). While our GPS had us taking the dirt path (back access road) there, it wasn't located so off the beaten path that we got lost. The cabin is situated on a corner lot with the main living room windows facing the lake-so idyllic. There is a back porch that also faces the lake (with a porch swing), that we sat around in the evening and morning hours. A short walk away is a small river that is easily accessible. The cabin itself is well appointed with endearing black bears and pine tree theme throughout. My youngest loved all the stuffed black bear plushies sitting around the cabin. There were lots of complimentary family games/boards in the family room including a ping pong table (we did not use). We did enjoy the electric fireplace in the living room, and the fire pit outside for roasting marshmallows. I greatly appreciated a fully equipped kitchen for our family meals. And last but not least the hosts Donna & Chuck are wonderful people! They are so thoughtful. They laid out some granola snack bars, brownies, water bottles and even jumbo marshmallows for our family knowing we were looking forward to roasting marshmallows with our two young children. The marshmallows were the highlight of the cabin experience for our children. We were very pleased with our stay here, and would do so again if in the area. Thank you Donna & Chuck for sharing your lovely cabin.

Best cabin and hosts ever!

The cabin was absolutely spotless and well stocked with everything. Chuck and Donna were by far the best host that I have ever dealt with. I would give them and the cabin 10 stars if I could.

Upscale Cabin

Perfect place for our family and dogs to get away from the noise of the city! Donna and Chuck are the perfect hosts! We loved sitting in the screened in porch and listening to the birds, the wind rustling through the trees and the calmness of the pond. Followed up by laughter as we tried to play ping pong on a much smaller scale :-) Just what we needed! Thanks so much! We will definitely be back!

Week in Blairsville

The next trip to Blairsville this is the cabin will lease for my visit again. Donna and Chuck were wonderful people and made sure you had everything you need for a great stay. The Cabin was very well maintained inside an out. You will not find a cleaner place to stay. The area was very peaceful and relaxing had no issue getting a good night sleep. We had a wonderful stay and the Cabin was a big part of it. Again Thank you Donna and Chuck for sharing your House.

Originally from Florida, we have been visiting the beautiful area of Blairsville for the past 17 years. As a past Wildlife Rehabilitator I love all the opportunities that are here to view the local abundant wildlife. Now that we are retired, we very much enjoy hosting and getting to meet and greet our guests, and do all we can to ensure they have a memorable stay.

The first time we visited this area we fell in love with the the cabin village of Choestoe.The name Choestoe is an Indian word which means "Land of the dancing rabbits". The nearby adorable cabins of the village give a sense of community.
When this cabin became available we jumped on it. We love the soaring ceilings, the pine tree cutouts on the bannisters, the all wood interior, the unique master bedroom headboard, the gazebo, the beautiful pond view and the fact that it is just 5 minutes from us!

The unique character of the Cozy Nest is what makes it special. We also love the property itself with the charming gazebo and cozy firepit, the private dock on the sparkling pond, the cute garden decorations, and the relaxing swings on both the porch and front yard.
