A Romantic Getaway - The Dutch House and Spa

Open the door and step into a dream - that simple! Inspired by H.C. Andersen’ fairy tales the Dutch House was designed and built as an experiment in bringing a pure whim into reality. Enjoy one of the most romantic places in the country and its lovely setting!
The Dutch House is situated by the river sharing 11 park-like acres with the main house - the oldest Victorian house in the metro Atlanta, circa 1834. The house was the site of the horror movie "Bleed" (2015) and an upcoming (2023) movie series "Class of '09". Our guests are welcome to use the property's amenities - hammock, a swing chair, the basketball court, the fire pit, the ping pong table as well as the gas grill and your own jacuzzi located on your deck. The Sauna with all the implements is available at $200 charge. You will find yourself tucked away from the noise and traffic of Atlanta yet just some 15 min. drive from it. Stone Mountain park is 6-7 min away and Yellow River park is a short 3 min. drive. Adjacent to the property is 100 acres of state land with a beautiful trail along the river. Inside you will have at your convenience the cable TV with Netflix, fast internet, ambient electric fireplace and the rest of all the usual modern amenities. The jacuzzi is hidden from view and completely private.

Peaceful Getaway

We had a lovely time here at Vlad’s place. It was spotless, quiet, and easy to find. It had everything we could possibly need for a weekend away to unwind. The place is charming, it has plenty of privacy, and Vlad was so helpful if we needed anything.

Romantic Getaway

A wonderful long weekend away. The home was beautiful and made you feel you were in a fairy tale. We especially enjoyed the hot tub. The host was great and check in and out was easy. We had such a great time we didn’t want to leave.

Truly Amazing

What a great place to get away from it all. Very peaceful. Absolutely loved everything about it. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay. The place is like a story book picture! The bed was very comfortable. The hot tub and sauna were a great added bonus. The hosts were so kind and offered great suggestions for places to eat and things to do. We plan to come back when we can stay longer.

Quaint, Unique and Charming!

Super cute property!! Conveniently located near several awesome paved bike trails. Several small decorative, thoughtful touches inside. Very peaceful surrounding to relax and unwind. Place is small but has all of the basics you need. Hot tub was really nice after long bike rides. Shower was nice and roomy given small bathroom.Kitchen was stocked nicely and two AC’s make it nice and cool. Lots of windows for natural light and real plants throughout, which keeps the air fresh. You will need to navigate stairs to the place and second floor if you have any mobility issues. Vlad was a great host and even invited us to watch fireworks from their front porch. Very nice stay!!! Would definitely stay there again if in the area again.

If character and charm with updated finishes are what you are looking for...stop scrolling now! I spent an hour or more just looking at everything in the house and all the large and small touches they added. It is truly a gem! The owners were amazing to deal with. The whole process was seamless.

The Perfect Romantic Getaway

My husband and I stayed at The Dutch House for our one year wedding anniversary and it truly was the most perfect romantic getaway. The house itself was beautiful, inside and out. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved the hot tub, the electric fireplace, and the surround sound speakers. Vlad and Natalya were great. They really did think of everything to make our stay perfect. They provided us with robes and slippers and even had a bottle of wine and a sweet anniversary note waiting for us when we got there. We felt very welcomed. I would definitely recommend The Dutch House to anyone! It exceeded our expectations by far!

Couple’s Oasis

The property was beautiful, well appointed and had all the comforts of home. The view of the trees in the mornings from the windows was very relaxing, we saw deer among the trees, and it was just the retreat that we needed to get away from our busy day-to-day life. The king bed was very comfortable, there were fresh flowers throughout, as well as live green plants. It really brought the outdoors into a very modern space. I would recommend this place to our friends and would easy visit again if in the area. We’ve stayed at many vacation properties and this one had more charm to it than any other and made you feel very welcome and comfortable. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We LOVED staying here!! The place is exactly as its shown in the pictures and is absolutely breathtaking. Waking up in morning with the sun shining through the windows was perfection and a pleasant surprise each morning. Being there, you forget that you’re not far away on some secluded mountain top. It’s so peaceful and quiet. They thought of everything you’d need to be more than comfortable, and we HATED packing up to go home. We had to drag ourselves out of the hot tub on the last day. The owner of the property was so nice and very helpful and even took time to provide directions to the nearby grocery stores and fishing spots. The fishing portion of the trip was less than successful, but we’re definitely up to come back and try again. Thanks so much for allowing us to come and enjoy your home Vladimir!
