The J Hideaway is the perfect mountain home retreat located inside the Big Canoe community. This newly renovated, professionally designed home showcases 180 degree views at over 2100 ft. elevation. Enjoy 20+ miles of hiking trails, 3 waterfalls, 3 lakes, 27 holes of golf, off-roading Jeep trail, lake-front clubhouse, fitness center and spa, indoor and outdoor swimming and more……. Without leaving the gates! The North Georgia towns of Dawsonville, Dahlonega and Blue Ridge are nearby to enjoy!

This spectacular home in Big Canoe boasts 180 degree Mountain Views for days. 4 bedroom, 5 bath home features a Great Room with a stone fireplace and premier mountain views. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials and luxuries to host a nice dinner for your group! The kitchen features a double oven, 6 burner stove & elevated dishwasher. There is a "moody" formal dining room with a round table for gathering as well as a breakfast nook in the kitchen with a long table and plenty of seating situated for the view. Enjoy the study with a conversational seating area that includes a powder room off the foyer.

Master on the main has a king bed, chaise lounge for relaxing, conversation and could comfortably sleep one person. Enjoy the jacuzzi tub, large separate shower and double vanity sinks with plenty of storage.

The sunporch is attached, fully enclosed and includes a large, ceiling height stone fireplace, television, separate heating/cooling unit and opens to the large patio that spans the length of the house. Enjoy two seating areas outside along with a stainless steel propane, chef's grille station for cooking outdoors.

Downstairs is a living area with a television, 2 bedrooms (queen beds) including ensuite bathrooms in each. The 4th bedroom (queen bed) is connected to the gaming area. You know its Game Time when the lights are on! Enjoy a foosball table and high-top whiskey barrel table to gather.

All smart tv's throughout the home. Sonos speakers upstairs and downstairs, wifi extenders included. We have an electric vehicle charger available.

PARKING: We can accommodate up to 8 cars. There is no street parking available.

Beautiful home!! Well equipped, so many beautiful sitting rooms and spaces for multiple families to enjoy. Host was responsive and kind. The area is beautiful and offers lovely hikes, golf, swimming, boating, etc. We would absolutely recommend.

Took kids up to Big Canoe for Labor Day weekend. This is our third time at J Hideaway. I’m sure we’ll go back again in the future!

Big Canoe Wedding Weekend

This property is wonderful. It has an amazing view from the back deck great for coffee mornings or a cocktail at sunset. We stayed for a family wedding weekend, and the house was perfect. The house is spacious for everyone to spread out but also has 3 sitting/gathering areas that are amazing to hang out. The 4 season porch was our favorite place to be together as a family and enjoy the view! The kitchen is large and it was easy to prepare the few meals that we did make. The homeowner was fantastic. He gave us great information before arrival but also I had several questions while there and he responded quickly to all of them. I even left something at the house and he let me know and helped me make arrangements to pick it up. A truly fantastic host!!

Beautiful Property

This property is beautifully appointed and extremely spacious, yet cozy, for a family vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here from the beautiful decor to the scenic mountain views. The kitchen is well stocked and there’s plenty of entertainment throughout the house such as a ping pong table, darts, and a foosball table. Highly recommend!

Incredible View

We had a great weekend at Big Canoe & this home was perfect. The kitchen is well stocked (& nicely labeled), it's tastefully decorated, great living room areas to relax, excellent game room for kids (& adults), strong WIFI, the view is simply amazing, etc. One of the best homes we've rented in the GA mountains. We will be back.

Beautiful and Comfortable

We were seeking a place to gather with 2 other couples to celebrate a 60th birthday. We were delighted to see this beautifully spacious and comfortable home when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, cookware, dishes, glasses. We loved the separate sitting areas and spaced-out bedrooms. Since GPS takes you to the wrong entrance of Big Canoe, and we arrived in the dark, directions from Jasper to the manned gate would be helpful.

Perfect Relaxing Getaway

We loved this home! This was a 4 night, 5 day stay at the J Hideaway in the gorgeous Big Canoe community. We couldn’t have asked for a better view and more comfortable clean home! The decor was beautiful. There were cozy blankets and smart TVs in every room. We brought all our own food and were easily able to prepare/cook all the food in the kitchen. Everything we needed to cook was there and labeled and organized! We also enjoyed the local community restaurant Black Bear Pub overlooking the lake. The food was excellent. We loved the convenience of being able to workout each morning at the big canoe wellness center. We were able to kayak, paddle board, and canoe right inside the community. My kids enjoyed the beach and kids inflatable play area in the water. We can’t wait to go back!!

Perfect In every way!

This was a last second trip for my family and I. We had the week off between Christmas and New Years and wanted a quick trip from Atlanta. This could not have gone any better for us. Jeffrey, Is amazing to deal with. He is super responsive and was on top of everything. I have stayed in several VRBO's and he was by far the best to deal with. There was a lighting storm the day before we got there and the internet was out in the entire community. Less than 24 hours there was a technician there and had us up and running. With all the things to do in the house and the community, we didn't even care that internet was out. The house is beautiful!! The glassed in porch and fire place made for a great hangout spot for everyone. We had a nice cozy fire and played games. You can tell the house has been updated with very nice décor. Regarding the community...Wow! We went to the gym and indoor pool, both are very nice. We took the kids to the playground. There is a beautiful golf course and a handful of lakes. 10/10 would recommend this house and this community. We were blessed, on our last day we had a little snow fall, the kids couldn't have been happier. if you are on the fence about renting, just do it!!!

PERFECTION!

This was the perfect place for our family to all get together. We had all of our children and grandchildren in one place and it was so enjoyable! The home is large enough to accommodate several people, but also had enough cozy spots to get away so we never felt like we were all on top of each other. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need, and we cooked large meals every night. Plenty of seating for dining indoors and out. Plenty of parking. Comfortable deck furniture. And the VIEW. Just spectacular!! Even the littlest grandkids didn't want to miss the colors at sunset. There are neighbors around, but you would never it know it. It is soooooo quiet and peaceful! Great communication from start to finish. The owner made what could have been a complicated process very simple and enjoyable. It was evident right from the start that his number one priority was to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Mission accomplished! Highly recommend this little slice of perfection!

Fantastic views and great responsive host.

Easy process for checking in and getting anything we needed. Enjoyed the Sun room and hanging out with family! Three of the bedrooms had their own bathrooms which was great for families with children. Plenty of seating and 4 smart TV’s for everyone to view. The game room was a nice bonus!! Easy driveway and a 2 car garage made it easy to accommodate a few cars. Highly recommend J Hideaway to everyone!! We made memories here to last a lifetime!!

Big Canoe is a one of a kind, vibrant Blue Ridge mountain, private community located in the foothills of the North Georgia Appalachian Mountains, Big Canoe is just an hour drive from Atlanta. Big Canoe offers over 20 miles of hiking trails, 3 waterfalls, 3 lakes, 27 holes of golf and more.

Big Canoe is registered with the Atlanta Audubon Society as an official Wildlife Sanctuary, and is home to many species of birds, including bald eagles, quail and wild turkeys. You will also find black bear, deer, rabbits and squirrels. Big Canoe is known for its natural beauty to includes a network of hiking trails suitable for any skill level. The unpaved Lower Falls Trail offers a moderate challenge, at 1.5 miles each way. The nearby Jeep Trail (Upper and Lower) allow owners of 4x4s to experience the thrill of driving off-road, crossing several streams and exploring a historic cabin along the way.
