Beautiful, unobstructed Gulf view! 'Experiencing' Galveston is different than just visiting here and the Regal Seagull is the perfect home base for, 'The Island Experience.' From the top level, 3rd story of this Caribbean-colored condominium there is nothing to block your view of sea waves tumbling onto a pristine beach less than 100 feet away and nothing to block the sea breezes blowing in! Perfect for a mid-size family, couples retreat, or romantic getaway, this nearly 1,000 sq ft condo has soaring 20' ceilings and wall-to-wall glass French doors that make you feel as if you are at the wheelhouse of a sailing ship heading out to sea! Spaces are appointed with contemporary wood furniture set against a backdrop of original Galveston fine art. Sunrises are spectacular and in the evening, and in the heat of the late day, the sun is blocked by The Dawn's canopy allowing the color of sunsets reflecting off gulf waves to be experienced from the shade of the balcony!

THE DAWN CONDOMINIUMS
The Dawn is Located on Seawall, just West of 69th Street, can’t be missed with the tropical colors, palm trees and beautifully landscaped grounds and feature two swimming pools (one pool is heated to 81° in the cooler months), a poolside hot tub, community grilling areas, fitness center, on-site laundry and gated parking. All units at The Dawn offer a private covered balcony or patio, which is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind in the evening with a glass of your favorite beverage. All kitchens are fully stocked with pots, pans and dishes to make breakfast, lunch or dinner, and guests are so close to so many delicious places to eat if you don’t feel like cooking or decide to order in after a long day at the beach or pool. All guests are required to pay per car for parking upon arrival at The Dawn.

NOTES Parking is paid to The Dawn upon arrival.

All guests must pay parking fee per vehicle. 1-3 days parking rate is $36.70 plus tax ($3.30) making it a flat $40.00. 3 or more days parking rate is $45.88 plus tax (4.12) making it a flat rate $50.00

Pool bands must be picked up from the front office at The Dawn

Would definitely stay again!

I’ll start with the minor negatives. Wish it smelled great when first walking in. Wish it had more than 2 rolls of toilet paper. Wish the bed was king. Wish it had some laundry soap. Wish a didn’t have to kill and giant palmetto bug above the dining table. Other than those fees things everything was great! Would definitely stay again! Loved the loft area for the kids. Love the beach view from the balcony and living room. Bathroom was nice. Everything was clean. Love the location of the condo, not a terrible walk from the car or the beach. This is our 4th condo we’ve tried at the Dawn and definitely my favorite so far.

It was advertised as a two bedroom plus bonus. Turned out to be a one bedroom not large enough for all. Had mold in the room, a broken window and two broken fans. I told the front desk and they said twice I would receive a phone call or resolution and 4 days later no one has called. Do not pay for this property.

Perfect location, the house was very well equipped amazing beach views. Only negative we found was that the AC was not working well enough to keep up with the hot summer days. We purchased some fans and that helped a lot

We loved waking up every morning and looking at the beach. The beach is literally across the street to enjoy. Lots to enjoy while in Galveston.

Pretty good, I guess. Nothing to compare to.

Location was mostly great: across from the beach, can see our stuff from the balcony, but not across from the stairs that takes you to the beach. It wasn't near the busier part of seawall, which means not near all the restaurants. But instead of hearing the ocean, we heard traffic. The gate next to our building also doesn't work as there was no handle. So we had to walk to the middle of the property (across from the beach stairs) to get in and out. There were two pools, both depth no greater than 4.5 feet. Both had hot tubs, but only one worked. The apartment could use some upgrading: Tiles loose in the bathroom, toilet seat all junked up. The balcony door extremely hard to open. RYSON was extremely stingy with supplies: one role of toilet paper for 6 people for a week. One travel size bottle of shampoo, conditioner, soap for 6 people is absolutely ridiculous. One diswashing pod. One trash bag. One role of paper towels. And not even just salt and pepper. I don't need everything but a few more of each for a place that says is for 6 people would have been nice. Walmart is next door, but they don't sell one dishwashing pod. So.... Would I stay here again, maybe. If there was a better option, not likely.

Family Vacation

Was the perfect place to stay for our family of 5. Lots of storage space, kitchen amenities, comfortable beds, and absolutely the best view. Directly across from the beach & conveniently located across from Walmart. All directions for check-in/check out were printed and easy to follow. If you follow the list of things to bring thats provided ahead of time from Ryson Rentals you will be all set. Only thing I would suggest is bringing extra pillows! Either way we we're still very comfortable and would most definitely stay here again!

Great View with no elevators

Great customer service with easy check in. Great views but we didn't expect the noise. Downfall of convenience of being right across from the beach. We loved the place, did not love that 3 floor hike up the stairs though. We'd definitely come back.

Can't beat the view

Enjoyed our stay here, very nice place. Had everything we needed. Spent every morning on the deck looking at the ocean! The complex is great, loved the pools too. Would highly recommend!

The Regal Seagull

We had the best view right on the end of The Dawns. Very charming decor and beautiful view of The Gulf. The property is immaculate, lawns well manicured. The only drawback was climbing those 36 steps up the stairs to get to our room.

Great Beachfront Condo

We really enjoyed our stay, The condo was nice and in a good location with a great view. The beach across the street was a little rough with shells not soft sand but there are sandy beaches very close. We would book this condo again for sure.

A nice property, not a great neighborhood

The Dawn complex is nice but the area around it is questionable. The convenience stores nearby are full of sketchy people so be careful. The condo was lovely and right across from the beach, but the A/C isn't the best. Also someone stuck a wad of gum on the inside of the master bedroom comforter, which tells me that although the sheets were changed, the cleaners obviously don't clean or even examine the comforters. Overall, though, it was a nice stay. The complex has two beautiful pools and jacuzzis that are nicely maintained. The office staff was nice and attentive. I would stay here again, but would avoid walking around the local area and definitely bring my own comforter.

Great for weekend get away

The Regal Seagull is in a great location along the sea wall, with across the street access to the beach. The unit was spotless and nicely furnished. The owners thought of all our vacation needs and took great care in the details. The pool and hot tub were great and The Dawns is a very well maintained property. Right next door to Walmart. Would love to stay here again.

The Regal Seagull was clean, spacious. We had a great time with kids and family that also stayed at one of the other properties. Great view of ocean, clean pools. Our kids wanted to stay longer. Would stay there again. Kitchen had everything we needed, but didn't do much cooking. Great location to everything.

Unexpected fees

I was unaware that we had to pay $25 per vehicle to park at the condo and that we needed pool passes. I went back through all my emails and the Vrbo listing, there wasn’t anything about it.

Memorial Weekend

Overall we were happy with the condo and the complex. The one and only bathroom in this unit could use a little "tlc": cabinets are scratched up and toilet seat is old and yellow. At first the loft area was warm, but when the AC caught up it was fine. Good set up for us because I have teenagers. I will definitely stay at the Dawn complex again, but will look for a more updated unit to rent next time.

Ryson Vacation rentals knew the water was going to be shut off at our condo from 8am to 6pm in advance of our stay but did not inform us until the morning it was shut off. I know they knew in advance because they forwarded an email about it the morning it was shut off. This was a huge inconvenience and we had to go to the Walmart to use the rest rooms. It was also turned off for a period the following day. I emailed ryson but the did not respond. I spoke to Ryson on the phone and they said they works have someone from operations contact me but they never did. I received no compensation for the inconvenience. Others who vacationed at the same place were. I also found 3 Cockroaches in the unit. 2 in the kitchen and one near the bunk needs in the loft. It scared my kids and they didn't sleep there. I would not recommend ryson vacation rentals or this unit. I have stayed at the dawn before and would recommend the dawn condo complex, but not ryson rentals or this unit.

Beautiful Condo

This is a beautiful condo. Its a little far from the attractions, but priced great. It could use a second bathroom, and A/C cant keep up in the heat of the summer staying on 70, but we did enjoy the condo. I would rent again, but not in the heart of summer. Front desk was friendly, pools were clean, condo was clean.

Weekend getaway

Very comfortable and clean. Very satisfied with the condo, but surprised by the expectations to leave it "SPOTLESS" when we left, or have a huge penalty to pay in addition to the housekeeping fee. Our TV didn't work but the service guy was there shortly to repair. View was wonderful! Overall experience was good. Just surprised by all the extra fees.
