Relaxation and Recreation on the River!

River Ranch Retreat is situated directly on the Maumee River, west of the Providence Dam, Grand Rapids, OH, and is located on coveted deep water. Dock your boat or jet skis at the River Ranch dock, bring wake boards, water skis, tubes, and enjoy over 20 miles of open water way. Boats can be launched at Mary Jane Thurston State Park Marina, one mile away. Hike or bike trails at Mary Jane Thurston Park, view Providence Dam, tour Ludwig Mill, take a boat ride on the Erie Canal. Visit the historic town of Grand Rapids, Ohio, enjoy casual or fine dining, a pizza with the family, and, of course, ice cream! Visit shops, including several antique shops, holistic and craft shops, "The Dam Gift shop," local wineries, take the kids to the play ground, hear local musicians and attend annual festivals. You'll inevitably catch a glimpse of Bald Eagles, Blue Herons, cranes, loons and jumping fish. Farmer Brett is right down the road for local produce. Enjoy watching spectacular sunsets and sitting by the campfire. This retreat is clean and comfortable to make you feel right at home.

We loved staying by the Maumee River. We grew up close to this river, brought back lots of happy memories. We loved the Welcome basket and all the amenities. They provided so much in the way of snack, food and drinks. Thanks so much for the Welcome Basket.I did have some computer issues but was probably on my end not theirs.

We had a great stay and loved the location and view of the river. The place was very clean and well stocked. There was also a basket full of snacks and goodies for us. The refrigerator also had bottled water and drinks. The host was very kind and responsive to us. We will definitely be back again.

Older house but very clean with comfortable beds. They had everything we might need while using the house. A birthday banner and plates were left for us with some treats. Very nice of them. Would definitely stay there again.
There is a landing down at hill. There's a fire pit and dock. Only downfall was it was rocks instead of sand but still nice little area to make smores or sit by the fire.
Beautiful scene to wake up to. You can see it from the kitchen/ dining area perfectly.

This is a true VRBO others should learn from Karen. Well stocked house and kitchen. Has all your essentials for a stay such as cooking utensils, welcome basket and the essentials for your stay such as coffee, spices and condiments. Bathroom stocked incase you forgot something. Property is just anazing, beautiful and well maintained. Karen is an amazing host that works hard for you to enjoy your stay. Cannot say enough about this property. I can not wait to my next stay.

The house was beautiful and very clean. Well stocked and even had some necessities on case you forgot something. Kitchen had everything you would need for cleaning. Loved the welcome basket the smores were a great treat as well as the popsicles.

4th of July Weekend

We really enjoyed the river access and brought our ski boat to the house. The views from the back of the house were great and being able to boat from Grand Rapids to Napoleon was ideal. We even stopped in at Lallys Marina next door for a ski rope and bag of ice.

Home Away From Home

This is our second stay at this property and we loved it! The owners are incredibly thoughtful and we loved the basket of goodies! We were there during a very hot time of the year and the air conditioning was great. The house is very clean and there's plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and relax. There are several places to eat within 15 minutes or so, and the kitchen is well appointed if you want to make easy meals at the house. We really enjoyed sitting in the back yard watching the boats on the river and taking in the beautiful sunsets.

The place was immaculate and as stated in the vrbo. We did s'mores, caught a couple cat fish and watched scary movies and we tried the lil towns food and Snyder's pizza is on point. Definitely would book them yearly to see my son for the weekend!!!

Beautiful Property!

This house exceeded all my expectations! The only complaint I have is the bed mattress was super hard, felt like I was sleeping on the floor. I would not use this property again ONLY because of the bed. Everything else was outstanding!

If cleanliness is next to godliness then this property is a piece of heaven … with a view! Host was most gracious rescuing us, at the last minute, from an abrupt cancellation of another property. Many, many stars!!

Amazing!

I cannot say enough good things about our stay. The host left a basket of snacks which was extremely thoughtful (and there were even a couple bottles of wine in the fridge!!). The house was spotless and the location was beautiful (right on the Maumee river). I contacted the host prior to booking to ask about the location with relation to a wedding we were attending and he responded within 30 minutes. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Zero complaints. Thank you!!

This is the 2nd time my family stayed at the house and it’s just perfect. We love being on the water and making s’mores by the fire. The owners are amazing and truly make you feel at home. Highly recommend.

Solitude and serenity on the river

Nice, peaceful, relaxing. Hosts went over and above. Only problem was the steps down to water and firepit and carrying things down, especially firewood. Safe neighbothood for someone traveling alone.

Amazing and thoughtful stay!

This home has thought of everything…. It’s clean, very very well-stocked and overall just so thoughtful with a beautiful welcome basket and kitchen supplies. The river was so much fun for us to make a fire and just enjoy the view! A great location and would highly highly recommend staying here. Has everything you need and a very comfortable place for a family!

We thank you for sharing your home with us. We loved the location because I was visiting a friend that lived on the other side of the river and came to pick us up on her pontoon!! Comfortable getaway

The house was great for visiting with family. Plenty of open space inside. The space at the river was fun for all. Dining and ice cream was just down the road in Grand Rapids. We will stay again.

Clean and Cozy

This was a great place to stay! We were in town for the weekend visiting family, and the location couldn't have been better. The house was clean and cozy, and the river view out back was just gorgeous! The host provides a lot of little extras to make you feel comfortable, and we had a really great time.
