Ms. Lou Houseboat in Venice, LA - Coast & Canyon Outfitters

Owned and managed by our team at Coast & Canyon Outfitters, the Ms. Lou is one of a handful of premium houseboats found in the Venice area. It is maintained to exacting standards and no expense is spared in its care. It possesses the best location in the area as well. Its front row slip is important when loading and unloading. There is no need to walk long, slippery and uneven docks to reach the unit. Simply pull right up to the front door for loading and unloading. The marina and restaurant are close enough for a very short stroll and far enough that you aren't bothered by any loud noise.
Front row access with a rear porch and dock. Pull your boat right to the back door or have your guide meet you there for the pickup.
Rear porch and dock are equipped with the following:

700 lb commercial icemaker, two deepfreezes, fish cleaning station, two washdown hoses, fixed dock fenders and mooring lines, flood lights, propane grill, and shrimp boiler

Central heat and air will keep you comfortable. There are no loud and leaky window units to contend with. Kitchen is fully equipped with many of the oils and spices you will need as well as a full compliment of utensils and appliances.

The living room is comfortable and an open floorplan. Wifi, cell booster and dish satellite TV will give you access to evening entertainment as well as a connection to the outside world.

This is a safe and well constructed vessel that we have equipped for maximum enjoyment. We also offer offshore fishing trips. we enjoy the cabin but it is getting old. Coffee maker, stove and grill are falling apart. These need to be replaced if we consider to come back.

Great Place

Loved Ms Lou. Very spacious and comfortable. Right next to parking so no having to carry luggage, etc down a dock. Close to the restaurant and the where everyone comes to unload their catch. Will stay again on next trip. Also, love how everyone leaves their spices, etc for the next guest for cooking.

Venice Fishing

Six fishermen stayed at Ms Lou for redfish. The houseboat will accommodate 10, but six is perfect. No one will need to sleep on a top bunk. Ms Lou was very clean. Short combing are an antique coffee maker. Two new drip would be great. We didn’t do a lot of cooking but the pots and pans need updating.

Our Favorite Houseboat

This is by far our favorite houseboat we’ve ever stayed at. Clean, well stocked with cooking and cleaning supplies, spacious, close to the marina. Would definitely book again!

Great fish camp!

Excellent fish camp in Venice Marina! Had everything we needed and more. Plenty of space for a large group. Ice maker on the back porch is awesome! We will be back.

Terrific for a Fishing Trip

Charming, clean, comfortable, very well stocked with household supplies, lots of condiments and cooking supplies. The cleaners were so helpful with local information, and helped us get in a little early, THANKS KATHY!!!I’d surely come back again.

While new to VRBO, the Ms Lou has an extensive list of clients who regularly rent multiple times per year. It possesses the best location in the area as well. Its front row slip is important when loading and unloading. There is no need to walk long, slippery and uneven docks to reach the unit. Simply pull right up to the front door for loading and unloading. The marina and restaurant are close enough for a very short stroll and far enough that you aren't bothered by any loud noise.
