Whidbey Island Waterfront on Sunlight Beach

Relax in your private Whidbey Island beach house, as you step out the door onto a sandy, beautiful, driftwood-covered beach. Enjoy the expansive views of the Puget Sound, Olympic Mountains, and Mt. Rainier. The sandy beach, lapping waves, and driftwood are your front yard. The heated deck or the beach deck beckon for conversation and overlooking your northwest paradise.

You will feel like the beach is your own private oasis, and beach walks are unending, as the low tide stretches 3/4 of a mile out and miles and miles to either side. Beachcomb for seaglass, stroll with bare feet, birdwatch, eat and chat, explore and maybe enjoy a glass of wine. Take out one of the kayaks or paddle boards. This is what relaxing in the Pacific Northwest is all about.

Only 15 minutes from Whidbey Island's Clinton ferry dock, you can be there in no time.

Known as one of the most charming small towns in Washington, Langley, with its amazing restaurants, historic buildings, book stores, and antique shops, is only a 15 minute drive away.

Bayview offers a Farmers Market, Supermarket (The Goose), wonderful restaurants and even a great Diner in Whidbey Doughnuts! Perfect for making family memories they will never forget.

Delightful space for 6 adults and 2 toddlers. It was great to have 3 full bathrooms. The backyard is amazing for eating dinner on the deck or just enjoying the outdoors as a family. We even took a dip in the ocean! Would definitely stay again.

I have never repeated a rental home before because we usually like to try new places, but this one is so perfect we had to return for a second trip. So many things make it an ideal place to stay with kids (tons of books, games and puzzles, and the nice shallow bay) but it’s also lovely for the adults. Plenty of space and an incredible view.

Wonderful relaxing vacation home

Our stay at this beach house on Whidbey Island was pure magic. Each morning began with coffee in hand, gazing out at sweeping water views, and each evening closed with unforgettable sunsets that wrapped the home in calm and color. The peaceful atmosphere created the perfect setting to unplug and reconnect.The house itself was spacious, immaculate, and thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed for a truly stress-free escape. From cozy furnishings to a well-stocked kitchen, every detail was designed to make it feel like a home away from home.What made our experience truly special was how seamlessly family-friendly it was. Whether we were kayaking, paddle boarding, biking, strolling along the shore, playing board games, or relaxing on the deck with music drifting from the piano, there was always something that brought smiles to both teens and adults. Each day felt like a new adventure, and we created some of our most treasured family memories here.We highly recommend this coastal gem to any family looking to slow down, soak in the beauty of Whidbey Island, and truly enjoy each other’s company. Sweet House on Beautiful Sunlight Beach

This was a really nice VRBO at the end of Sunlight Beach, which is an amazing location! I didn't realize how wide the beach is here, which provided hours of entertainment. There are tons of sand dollars, water birds, and more. This is a very special location. The house was comfortable and clean, and we enjoyed our weekend very much.

Amazing house with Amazing views

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house with an absolutely stunning view of the ocean. The direct access to the beach was perfect, and we thoroughly enjoyed our beach walks, relaxing on the beach deck, and using the kayak. The trampoline out front was a delightful bonus that kept the kids entertained for hours.There were a few areas where cleanliness could be improved — we noticed some pet hair in a couple of rooms. Also, the trash bin was full when we arrived, but Nate was very responsive and got it taken care of quickly.Overall, it was a great experience, and we’d happily come back again!

Island Country

Had a very enjoyable, along a bit chilly, visit/stay at Sunlight Beach on Whidbey Island. The house was perfect for six adults, each couple had a king size bed and their own bathroom. We loved walking on the beach every morning and especially enjoyed viewing the many beautiful eagles and other colorful birds inhabiting the area. The owner was very responsive and immediately answered any questions we had. It's a lovely place, will have to try it again in the summer.

Annual family visit

We have enough space for 5 adults and 2 children. The views from the deck are calming, and home is charming! We would absolutely come back and stay.

Christmas on Whidbey Island

This was the perfect place for a family to spend a few days. Even though there were only 3 of us, it could actually sleep upwards of 20 people...COMFORTABLY! Great kitchen with everything you needed and awesome walks on the beach. We will definitely go back to this place. Nate was always available and helpful.

Great time with friends and family!

This house was perfect for our group, three families each with two kids under 7. We loved walking on the beach and hanging out in the house. Sleeping was great for everyone, especially the bunk room for the kids. Definitely hope to come back!

Incredible beach house for families

This is the best rental property we’ve stayed in as a group of extended family (with kids ranging 2-8). The location is gorgeous and convenient, the bed/bath layout worked really well for 3 couples plus 4 kids, and the house has *tons* of books, puzzles and toys. The super shallow bay is really cool for walks at low tide and felt very safe for introducing the older kids to kayaking and paddleboarding at high tide. Kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed our meals out on the porch. Very much hope we can come back again!

Family Gathering

Great home in a wonderful waterfront oasis; sand, pebbles, driftwood, fire pit, porch swing, heaters, a huge natural play area for our grandkids and for us! Neighbors were kind, area was peaceful and quiet. House was beautiful and comfortably furnished.

Well thought out property

We have rented on Whidbey every summer for 21 years. This property is among our favorites. The owner was very responsive to all questions prior to our stay. I have no complaints but for those that need a soft bed this may not be the place for you. All of the beds are quite firm. I will still rent this house in the future but I will bring a mattress pad.

This home is beautiful. The owner has added many thoughtful touches. It did not feel like a rental house, but more like a family member’s loan of a house! The varied tides provided the children opportunities to play safely in the water!

We had a fabulous stay on Sunlight Beach! Location is convenient and beach can’t be beat. House is very cute and comfortable with large bedrooms and bathrooms, lovely decks, and lots of kayaks and paddle boards. We hope to come back!
