Perfect for our tournament weekend!

We were in Vancouver to play in a tennis tournament. The condo was just perfect for our home base and to relax in the evening. It was quiet and clean centrally located for all the places we needed to be.

It is a secluded duplex in a calm neighborhood. Very quiet during the night.However, the washing machine and dryer were not in great condition... the washing machine was held together with a ratchet strap and the lint case from the dryer was missing. When we got there the towels in the main bathroom we were using smelled moldy, which we washed to get rid of.

Race Weekend Oasis

Everything was as described, and the photos barely did it justice. The balance between city access and privacy was priceless. It was the perfect place to unwind between Motocross Races throughout the week. We loved staying here & hope to return in the future. Julie is an excellent hostess with prompt responses whenever communicating. It was a very pleasant trip and all-around experience!

Great Host!

My family and I were out here for a trip planning the build of our new home and this home was perfect for our needs. We found the home to be quiet and nice and the host was even able to help accommodate us when we had some change of plans. She was very friendly and quick to respond. I had a few tips for making the home more child-friendly (stoppers in the tub) and the owner was quick to solve the issue. Great home!

Property

Need to make known how many steps are involed to get in. We were not made aware there were 8 steps to get up to landing, and another 7 steps to get to main floor. Another 14 steps to go up stairs. The driveway was a very steep, short and dangerous. To get off the sidewalk, with the driverways being so short and steep, almost went though the garage door. Just sheer drape on master bedroom with neighbors a stone throw away and make the room a little darker in the morning.

Vancouver stay

The townhouse was a great space for our two-week stay in Vancouver for a course. Two spacious bedrooms with separate bathrooms and a lovely kitchen and living area with plenty of space to work from home, and even another bedroom downstairs for guests. Parking included was great! Our biggest disappointment was the cleanliness of the home - when we arrived, one of the toilets was not flushed, the garbage was overflowing and not taken to the curb, and there were ants in the kitchen. The sheets were stained with black streaks (mascara?) and some of my clothing came out of the wash with that on it, too. No soap in shower and no extra paper towels, so we had to purchase some of our own supplies that were listed as included. The host was responsive about the garbage being taken out but not about a request for the cleaning fee back. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in the townhouse and it was a great size and location for our trip needs, just wish the cleanliness and accuracy of description were more for the price!

We have previously submitted comments to our host and they include:Ants were prevalent in the kitchen, on the floor and counter tops.Dryer was full of sheets and towels when we arrivedWashing Machine was full or wet sheets and towelsOutside trash cans were full3 bags of trash were on the ground and had been ripped open by cats and or squirrelsThe garage contained at least 6 bags of trash when we arrivedThe recycling can was in the garage and overflowingWe put the trash out and it was not picked up on the day we were toldContents of kitchen drawers were stickyKitchen sink requires new caulkingSecond front doorstep is looseDry rot on hand railingKnobs missing on two kitchen drawersCeiling lights very dim or inoperativeOne drawer in kitchen is brokenHot water was nearly nonexistent, had to adjust the water heaterOutlets in bathroom inoperativeLaundry bin was "finally" located in the garage, but it was full of blankets and pillowsFloor trim between main floor bath and kitchen not securedAnts moved to master bath after we treated them in the kitchenOld toilet and bow for new toilet in garage

Great place to stay!

Town house is as advertised. Beds were comfy, lots of towels, etc. Suggested owner put in a TV upstairs in master bedroom and some more lighting in the living room. House was conveniently located and owner left lots of tourist information. Quiet neighborhood. Thermostat went out and owner had someone there to repair it in less than an hour! Lots of stairs but we knew that and wanted the exercise. Would use this townhouse again!
