Otsego Château Sanctuary - Pool / Guest House / Event Venue / Pond / Fire Pit

The Otsego Chateau Sanctuary sits on 14 acres. It’s a stunning place tucked back off the main road where you can enjoy a touch of natures beauty. The home is spacious and bedrooms are setup to accommodate larger groups and families. The information below summarize some perk of the rental in the summer and winter.

Summer:
There are two ponds on site where you can spend time fishing (catch and release only), kayaking, paddle boarding, or swimming. This is a great source of entertainment for the kiddos. If swimming in the pond isn’t your thing, we have a large pool with a spacious patio area for all to enjoy.

The pool is one of the many draws to this property. Surrounding the pool is a handful of lounges, tables, a propane fire pit, and chairs as well as a large umbrella covering. Located in the same area is the propane grill. Also note that the pool has the option to be heated. You can message us about doing so for spring and fall stays. The pool maintains a fairly warm temp during July and August months so heat is likely not needed, but if requested we can accommodate. We do charge for the propane usage, but this is a fairly reasonable rate solely based on usage.

Winter:
Otsego has plenty of great options for winter fun. Located only 10 minutes from Bittersweet Ski Resort, the Chateau is the perfect place to bring the family or friends to enjoy the some of the best skiing in the lower half of Michigan. The house is also located about 15 minutes from the snowmobile trail head in Allegan. With hundreds of miles of trails in West Michigan, Allegan trail head is a great place to jump on and ride. If snowmobiling or skiing isn’t your things, you can always just enjoy the beauty of the snow from the house and just relax and unwind.

The property also has two large pole barns that can be used for large gathering such as weddings, grad parties, or family reunion. Please send a message if this is something you would like to reserve in addition to the houses during your stay.

Beyond the water and barns there is still a great time to be had. We have bean bags, misc yard games, 2 fire pits, a ping pong table located in the garage, (2) 3 season rooms, and a beautiful kitchen that's large enough to accommodate your entire group.

There are two houses on the property. The main house has 4 bedrooms, and 2 full baths. The guest house has one bedroom, a pull out couch in the living area, and a full bath as well. The guest house is seasonal so it's closed during the winter months (Dec-March). The prices are adjusted to lower rates during that time as the sleeping space is lowered from 16 to 14 people. Please note that the listing still shows the max capacity for guests. Each bedroom (other than the guest house upstairs bedroom) has a TV with Direct-TV programming for guests to use.

You will also find some photos of the decorations we plan to have up for the Christmas season. These will be up roughly from the week after Thanksgiving until the week after New Years.
