Charming, Historic! Walking Distance to Town!

Explore the charm of the Roaring Fork Valley from this 2BD 2BTH Cozy Cottage in the heart of downtown Glenwood Springs!

Less than a 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants in town center! Enjoy the liveliness of a mountain town and escape to your quaint single family home just blocks away for a good nights rest!

Enjoy hot springs, skiing/snowboarding areas, hiking trails, biking, shopping, rafting, ice skating, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, fishing and MORE near by!

The unit has plenty of space and has some great character to it. It is an older home, as many homes in downtown Glenwood are. (The older homes have the best location!). That being said, this home has some older home quirks. There is some mild floor sloping. The unit has recently upgraded bathrooms, floors, and appliances. We are often upgrading and improving this unit for our guests!

We do not have centralized AC. Most older homes in Glenwood Springs do not have Centralized AC. We do have cooling options available in the home (portable AC units, fans etc).



The house is a duplex and guests have access to the entire front unit that is accessed off of Pitkin Ave. The yard and separate back unit are occupied with a long term renter so please do not enter the yard or back unit and please be respectful of them.



We live in town and are available to answer questions via phone and email. We are also able to come to property if needed. We always appreciate guests sharing with us directly through messaging what they enjoyed or what they think we may be able to improve in our home for future stays!



Parking: Directly to the left of the house on 10th street and on Pitkin Ave after 10th street there is 24 hour free parking. There is 2 hour free daytime parking directly in front of the house on Pitkin Ave between 9th and 10th street. This parking is free 24 hour overnight.

We rented this cute house for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and it was perfect. Great open space which made it easy to hang out and do puzzles, cook/prep food, and lounge about. We brought our two dogs - the set up was easy and location was incredible for connecting easily to walking trails. Would stay again - thank you so much!

Our VRBO was indeed Charming and withing Wlaking Distance of Town. The kitchen was well equipt.It is Fall and the trees were in full fall mode.... beautiful time to visit. It was easy to take side trips and we enjoyed our trip to Marble.We loved the town of Glenwood Springs..definitely enjoyed our stay.

Clean, cozy, and a great location

We had a great experience with the property and the owners. They were quick to respond to questions, and the property was very clean and well managed. It's a short walk to shopping, food, and entertainment. Not too far from the caverns and adventure park, either.

Great Pitkin House stay in Glenwood

This property was perfect for our stay in Glenwood. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. It was very clean and well appointed. The owners were very helpful and easy to reach. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family.

Great stay!

We loved our time at this property. Very cute and comfortable. Perfect location, walkable to downtown. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch, and the beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay there again!

Nice stay. Clean and newly renovated.

Three friends and I had a fabulous day. The house is quite spacious with newly renovated bathrooms that are beautiful. It’s very conveniently located and pet friendly. We didn’t bring our four-legged friend this trip but when we come back to Glenwood, we will definitely check to see if this place is available. They even have special blankets for your pets so the furniture can be protected. The only problem we saw was a badly broken lampshade that was duct taped together, and not very well. I would recommend they buy a new lampshade. Other than that, highly recommended!

The house was the perfect setup for the 3 of us and our labradoodle. Close to everything - pool, dog park, downtown, and stores. The communication from the property owner was timely and helpful. Would stay again!

Fantastic location

This was a cute little property in a fantastic location- so close to everything! Although i understand that this is an old house and part of its charm, there are some structural things going on with the sloping and rickety flooring in the master bathroom. In addition, tiles are crumbling from the shower area with visible mold- so there are some sanitary concerns. The property offers a cute porch to relax on, which our family thoroughly enjoyed talking and laughing on throughout our stay. However, visitors who stay here should know that there are cameras in this area that were periodically recording (green) light while hanging out. We felt that we were constantly being watched which was very unnerving. Overall a cute home, but this is surely not the first time owners have been told this and the property needs some upkeep.

Great space. Convenient location.

I loved my stay here. Everything I needed in the home was there. There was lots of casual spaces for me to read while I was there. Walking into town was very easy too. The directions for the check-in and checkout process for very clear. I have no complaints.

Location is great

The location is great, but the property and our stay were not the best. The owner seems to have some trouble using vrbo. I was sent confirmations that had the wrong date and the wrong name for me. I was also sent emails that had the wrong check in code for the door lock. The owner needs to be more cognizant about when information goes out. Yes, I had also received information with the correct code, but I never thought that information sent within a couple days of each other would be different. That coupled with the wrong name for me and the wrong date for our stay makes me think that the owner is not using the website properly. To top it off, the owner never responded when we contacted them letting them know that we weren't able to get in. We finally got someone at vrbo to help and figure out that I had been given two different codes for the lock. The owner never checked in with us to make sure things were okay. I finally contacted her to let her know that we were in and the only time she checked in was near the end of our several day stay. The house was not as clean as I would like a rental to be. Edges were dusty, the shower grout and caulking was moldy. The house is in a bad physical state. The floors feel like they put flooring over holes and it feels like you're going to fall through when you walk in certain places. The bed in the master room was absolutely horrible and sags terribly. I still have a sore back from it after being home for several days.

Comfortable and Convenient

We had a lovely time at this property. The house is very close to everything and was a nice walk to shops and restaurants. Not having a yard for the dogs was no problem at all because the neighborhood has tons of grass and so does the school just a block away. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything you could need.

The home was as described. Four older adults, 60-82. Being new to VRBO, did not realize that 1 bedroom with a bunk bed and queen bed meant queen bunk beds. Otherwise very nice stay.

Easy walking distance to everything

Off main street to avoid road noise but close enough to walk to shopping, dining, hot springs and amusement park. Couldn't have a better location. Comfortable home with everything you need.

Very disappointing property

I would not recommend staying at this property. Extremely dirty. Carpets super stained. There were sticky traps in kitchen with disgusting bugs in them, but were probably for mice. The back room smelled like old animal urine which was attempted to get covered up by old deodorizers. The house was 87 degrees when we arrived. There was a tiny portable ac unit but was too small to do anything and it couldnt be relocated from dining room. The pee smell got worse the hotter it got. We opened the windows at night but the house is on the same property as two smaller units that share a backyard. The smaller units smoked marijuana so the smell came right in the windows and had to close them and suffer with the heat. The shared backyard also had two dogs belonging to the other units that barked directly under our window and kept everyone up. The walls were all scuffed up. We left early and were only refunded a cleaning fee. The place wasnt clean when we got there. The house’s foundation is failing so the entire flooring is on a slant. We contacted VRBO and they reached out to the owner and the owner hung up on the VRBO rep.
