Welcome to Water Street Retreat!
Our home away from home in the heart of Saugatuck! Enjoy hassle free parking as you are within walking distance of most shops, galleries, restaurants, and attractions. We sought to equip our home to anticipate your needs during your stay. This Condo makes for a perfect family or friends getaway!

INSIDE THE HOME

Beautiful 3 bedroom and 3 ½ bathroom condo. Ground-level features a bunk bed (full on bottom, twin on top) and a twin size bed, with a full bath down the hall, and access to the garage. The second level will give you the open concept feel, you will find a half bath off of the kitchen, a dining area that provides seating for eight, and the living room. Enjoy your morning coffee on either balcony, one off of the kitchen and the other off of the living room. Go up another level and you find two bedrooms with two full baths attached, the master queen size bedroom, and another room with a double.

THE LOCATION
Are you a larger group looking to stay downtown Saugatuck? Look no further. We manage two townhomes within this downtown complex. Water Street Retreat is intended to be rented separately but is located across the parking lot from another condo we manage. Butler Street Retreat is the other townhome located in this complex, located on Butler St., and is almost directly across the parking lot from Anderson Townhome. Family trip with our two sons, one daughter in law and one grandson. Everything was clean and in good repair upon arrival. The location is awesome, easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. The upstairs did not cool well but sleeping was ok. The smaller upstairs bath was quite dark and one of the light bulbs were out, unfortunately it wasn’t something you could easily replace so that was a bit frustrating. The kitchen was well equipped except no can opener. Also the coffee maker is not a drip one as it described and we planned for so you have to bring along pods, not great for a larger group. Overall a great stay and wonderful destination.

Great location and comfortable space

This was our 8th trip to Saugatuck with our children. The property’s location is great. Though right on Water Street where you can walk out the front door and be in the Social District, it is quiet. The Beeline trial for running and walking or biking is easy to access as is everything in town, including our favorite spots.. There’s a great view of Kalamazoo River from third floor bunk room and a good peak from main front porch. Furniture is comfortable and great for gathering or chilling a bit after a day at the beach.

Not the same

I have stayed at this property before a choose it again based on previous stays. However this time it was different. Dirty - dog hair on furniture and all over the floor. Multiple glasses in cupboard had lipstick. Cups had coffee residue and drips on the outside. We had to wash everything before using it. The front deck was missing and had no railing - they were doing construction while we were there promptly at 8am two of the four mornings. Not what you want to be woken up to that early on vacation-hammering, sawing and sanding. It would have been nice to know this at the time of booking so we could have made a different choice.

Saugatuck

My friends and I did a girls trip to Saugatuck and this house was perfect! It’s less than a 5-10 minute walk to just about everything you could want and the house was roomy enough for all of us. Highly recommend booking here.

Beautiful property in fantastic location!

We stayed here for Mother's Day: me, my husband and my 1.5 year old daughter, and my mother in law. The layout is perfect for this kind of thing - my mother in law stayed downstairs, the hang space is in the 2nd floor, our room was on the 3rd floor and there was a kids room on the 3rd floor. Each bedroom has their own full bath. It would be fun to come back with family friends - plenty of sleep space in the kids room for everyone to share!

So close to everything

Was just as pictured, so easy to get into, one parking space in the garage. Property management was very responsive. Close to restaurants, shopping, distilleries, boat rides, concert venue. It was perfect. Would stay again.

College Ladies Weekend in Sagatuck

We have a great group of 5 girls that get together every year. This was the perfect spot for us this year. The location of the property was walking distance from everything we needed and also only a 10min drive to the beach. Lots of great shopping and restaurants. Depending on the time of year, we were there in September, restaurants were busy and filled up quickly. The property was clean and comfortable. We kept it cold, we wished there were more blankets to snuggle with by the fire. Other than that, we would come back in a heartbeat.

Amazing Water Street Retreat

This is an excellent site to rent for a visit to the beautiful Saugatuck area! The property is spacious and very clean. All necessary amenities are included. The location is convenient to the many fabulous shops and restaurants.

Beautiful Property and Great Location

The property itself was amazing. I stayed with a group of friends and they all said it was even better than they expected in terms of the layout and how well decorated it was. The living room and kitchen gave us a great space to all hang out, and the deck was small, but really nice. Additionally, it was walking distance from all the places we wanted to go in downtown Saugatuck, so the location couldn't be beaten.
