Venturing through the stately gates of Winding Creek Lodge you feel as if you were miles away from it all. This home/lodge is perfect for families with it's spacious wrap around porch. Sit in rocking chairs next to the stone fire pit while taking in a majestic lake view. Spend time on hiking trails, or fishing for bass and crappie during your stay, (GA State Species Limits Apply). Enjoy the use of 2-Canoes or 4-kayaks on the 12.5 acre private lake.

The dinning room is perfect for family-style meals with it's 16' farm table designed to accommodate small groups or families.

Spend time on the leather couches in the family room while watching TV or enjoying a fire in the wood burning fire place.

Winding Creek Lodge is designed to accommodate family gatherings, small events less than 25 ppl, corporate retreats, or those looking for a place to escape from the world.
* If you would like to book Winding Creek Lodge as a vacation home rental and utilize it for an event (i.e. birthday party, wedding, or group gathering), a separate rental agreement and fee will apply. Please message the home owner through VRBO.com for further instructions on how to book for events. The home rental is subject to immediate termination if the renter does not disclose or obtain prior authorization for events including or over 25ppl.

Located 15 minutes from downtown Forsyth, GA, and 8-10 minutes from downtown Musella, GA, Winding Creek Lodge is just a short drive from several great local restaurants, farmers market, and peach orchards. In summertime, one can visit Dickies Peaches for local produce or to sample fresh peach and strawberry ice cream.

What a great escape.

This place is a beautiful lodge and grounds. check in was great. Kitchen and dining room were large. The AC was not working well but, after a couple of days they owner had it fixed. We really enjoyed the lake and fishing. We caught large mouth bass ( big ones) and brim. The canoe unfortunately was leaking and the kayaks and paddle boat were dirty. We had brought a car pressure washer and cleaned them up in no time. They did not have a high chair or children's dishes that we could fine. This is a very relaxing place that you never want to leave. We did go down to the Dickey's Peaches and that was very neat.

Family Gathering Away From It All

This is a beautiful home on an amazing, very private property, if you are looking for a place to get away from it all. The private "small lake/big pond" and trail, and the surrounding property provided endless fun for my kids and grandkids. They swam and paddle boarded (we brought our own,) and kayaked and paddle boated (provided by the owner) countless happy hours. Nearby Lake Tobesofkee and the peach farm store in nearby Musella were fun short trips. The house itself is quite unique and fun, with its large dining area and great room with sofas and recliners for a large group, and rural Georgia decor. The 3 very private bedrooms downstairs with their own baths are very comfortable and nice. The 2 loft bedrooms are common with the rest of the house, as far as light and noise, but still, they are pretty quiet and comfortable. (I slept in one of them, along with my 2 granddaughters.) We had 12 people, and were very comfortable. Bring your own beach towels, soap and shampoo.

Great Family Oriented spot!!! Full of Nature

This place was amazing and the host was even greater! Communication was out standing and I would stay here again. My family and friends that stayed at the property had a great stay and enjoyed Mike telling us the stories of the land history and area must sees.

Amazing place to stay!

If you are looking for a secluded, peaceful, place to stay, this is it! Plenty of room for large families (we had eight family members with us), or groups. It’s a place that once you’re there you don’t want to leave. There are three bedrooms downstairs and two lofts with three single beds in each loft. It has a large dining area, and a very nice living area which overlooks a very large pond (with great bass fishing). Only suggestion would be to be able to control switching the AC to heat (it was rainy and cold one night, but couldn’t switch over to heat). Other than that, we only wish we could have stayed longer-really great place to just chill and enjoy family and nature (and honestly Forsyth is maybe 15-20 minutes away and Macon is about 30 minutes away, so you’re not too far from the “city” in case you need something or want to go into town to visit). Great place, highly recommend!!!

Great for a family weekend away

My family (2 adults, 1 teen and 11 yr old) met up with my in laws (2 adults, 7 year old and 4 year old) for a quick weekend visit. They live in SC and we are in AL so this was almost perfectly in the middle. Everyone had a great time. There was plenty to do for the varying ages of the kids. Between the swing set, kayaks, and exploring the property the my were busy and tired. My son brought his fishing stuff and caught his first fish off the dock within 15 mins!! Thanks for a great place to connect with family and relax.

I spent the New Years with my family at this wonderful cabin. We had an amazing time as a family enjoying the lake and other amenities of the place. It is very spacious and beautiful in many ways. It is a great getaway and would 100% recommend.

Love this getaway that makes you feel at home

This is my second stay and my only regret was I didn’t get a chance to go fishing like I did in the summer. The lodge is clean and so inviting. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a feast. The kids got to make roasted s’mores at the fire pit, my nephew couldn’t resist the lake and went and bought a pole to fish and caught some nice Brim. Everyone enjoyed it and already wants to make plans to come back. If you love peace and serenity and fishing look no further, this is the place for you.

A piece of heaven on earth

Absolutely Stunning Views

Hands down one of the most beautiful properties I have ever gotten the pleasure to stay at. The host was easy to communicate with and answered all of my questions quickly. We booked this for our parents and out of town family to stay at for the weekend right up from where we got were getting married at. This was better than anyone expected. The view was amazing. Very clean property and absolutely no issues. Thank you so much for the great accommodations and for having such a great place!!

Beautiful and relaxing stay!

The house is amazing! Beautiful and serene location. We enjoyed so much time on the back porch watching the kids fish or roasting s’mores. Enjoyed the boats and playing cards. House was well stocked and beds very comfortable. Right between quaint Forsyth and Macon. We had a wonderful time!

Country Living

The cabin was beautiful and spacious. My family spent many hours on the pouch enjoying nature and taking in the beauty of the property. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed preparing meals and enjoying family times in that big well equipped kitchen. Great place for family gatherings. Sarah was wonderful and made us feel welcome. Look forward to returning in the future.
