The most beautiful and family friendly neighborhood in the Beach ⛱️⛱️ area. Walk to the beach without paying for Parking 🅿️
An additional charge of $49.00 for 3rd person.

Properly leashed dogs are allowed on the beach at any time, and are allowed off their leashes on the beach seasonally from October 15 - March 15, and under certain conditions. Owners must pick up after their dogs, and properly dispose of all droppings.

The place was clean, great locking devise on the front door . The bed comfotable , no beach time mostly rained but had planned other events to do. It had a clean mini fridge and microwave and options on air, fan and a noise machine. The place's location was great for dog walks and my exercise classes plus meeting do g owners and esting out . I coulfd of walked to beach but the one day of sun I planned other activities.

Cute spot near the beach

Had a nice getaway weekend, was perfect for what we needed, and nice to be able to bring my dog companion with me to the beach!

My stay

The sweet but spartan room was what I expected. I’m glad I brought paper products and utensils. It was a ten minute walk which I decided once was enough. I decided to drive and pay to park. Charles always responded quickly and helped with anything I asked. I would say it is just right for one person.

I grew up on NW 14th St on Oak Island. I have been back visiting family in order to help grieve a lost family member, and needed a separate space for a few days. Given that I could stay with family for free, I wanted something that was reasonably priced but still felt like luxury, and this spot is it. Only a half mile walk to the beach, and I used to walk a mile growing up on 14th. The only downside is crossing Oak Island Dr. but it’s not even that busy all the time, and often drivers will stop for pedestrians even without a crosswalk. The location of the rental is right off yacht drive, so you can dodge the traffic and drive along the backside of the island to either bridges to get into town. The owners thought of everything, and never once did I feel like I was attached to another persons home. It felt like my own private dwelling on the beach. Thanks!!

Nice place

It was just as listed. It was clean and everything was in good working order. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach. Hopefully next time we won't have to leave due to a hurricane.

Nice little studio

Very nice and super clean studio close to the beach, a perfect getaway for a weekend. Even though it’s in walkable distance to the beach, you need to cross a busy road so we decided to drive and park nearby which in this case it costs $20/day for public parking. If we had 2 simple bicycles with lockers, that would be super convenient. We had great time and overall experience was good - owners are very responsible and super nice. The only things we didn’t really liked were the mini fridge that’s is too small and the shower space - that’s super tiny (probably 3 sq ft) which could be a real constraint for big size people. A little kitchen area would be a plus, specially for those who are willing to stay more days.

Just what we needed

The one room suite was perfect for our stay. It was very clean and just enough for the two of us and our small pet. Only thing that needs to be mentioned in description is there are two steps up to the bathroom. It wasn't a big issue for us but maybe for someone else. Loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Restful and relaxing.

I love the neighborhood and everyone was so friendly and super dog friendly island. I loved how you step out the door and there is a patio and big corner lot . Not too terribly far to walk to the beach but there is a busy road to cross. It is pay to park now, but free before 900 am. And after 500 pm. It was just me and my pup. We had a wonderful time. And I felt very safe.

As Expected

Room was clean, check in was easy. Owners were onsite but we did not have any interaction nor any issues that would have needed their assistance. Neighborhood is quiet but still close to anything you might need - beach, restaurants and grocery store are minutes away. We were looking for a reasonably priced rental that we could bring along our dog and this rental met those needs. Not a complaint, just to help future renters because every rental is different, bring soap and shampoo for shower, grill tools and plates, paper products if planning to fix a meal on the grill. Might want to bring an extra set of bath towels if you are staying longer than a couple nights.

Description not accurate but clean

The neighborhood is a nice quiet area very peaceful for afternoon walks. However the listing was for a king size bed and no mention of stairs. When we arrived we found a full size bed and steps to access the restroom. As an injured veteran this made it a little more difficult for me. The listing also mentioned a hot tub to which we never seen. Just be aware that the listing isn’t accurate as to the exact accommodations. It was very clean and easy to access.

Completly enjoyable stay

Property was extremely clean and as described. Neighborhood was beautiful with friendly neighbors property inside and out was very well kept. Owners were present we did not even need them because everything was inplace as it should have been.

Great weekend beach trip

We absolutely loved staying in Oak Island for the weekend. We had never been there before and this was a perfect place to stay. Walkable to the beach and very nice quiet neighborhood. Easy check in and check out. Super nice to be able to have the dog with us too. We would definitely stay again!
