2 bedroom 1 bath sleeps 8, pet-friendly quaint cottage in Lake Leelanau Michigan with a dock and firepit. One large slip for your boat and one smaller slip provided for your jetski, canoe or kayak. In a protected cove. Boaters paradise!

Cable tv and WIFI provided also. Bring your boat and the dog. 3 split wall air conditioners (which keeps this cabin very cool) and ceiling fans. Full size washer and dryer. 120 foot of lake frontage. One full bathroom with tub/shower combo.
Deck area outside great for lounging to read a book or to do a BBQ, Charcoal grill provided. This deck area is looking down the access which leads to the water.

1st Bedroom with a queen bed. 2nd Bedroom with a queen bed. Along with 2 sofa sleepers.

Cottage is located in a quiet peaceful setting with just a short walk down to your dock and lakefrontage. Firepit area with plenty of seating. Bring your watersports. Ideal fishermans retreat.

Extra cleaning in our common areas have been done as a added precaution. Our houskeepers are taking extra care when cleaning the property and the surrounding area. Conducting additional deep cleaning to commonly touched surfaces. This is a lovely place to work from home. We are taking additional precautions to assure your health and safety come first. Linens are being laundered on high heat.

Pet friendly = dogs only. Pet fee applies per dog per night.

Perfect for us!

We were looking for a dog friendly rustic place that was peaceful, private, and affordable. This place was just as advertised and the location is perfect!

This place was the perfect size for our two families of four. With four adults and four kids, having two living room areas was ideal—it gave the kids their own space, which helped them settle down at night. The location was also fantastic! We loved being able to walk to the dock to fish and then spend our days at the Lake Michigan beaches. The only suggestion I have is to improve communication with the owner, as messages sent through VRBO didn’t seem to go through.

Comfortable Cottage

This was a well loved cottage that was great for our family of four’s summer holiday stay. The location between Leland and Suttons Bay can’t be beat and we appreciated the walking distance to the store and Fiddleheads. The beds were comfortable but pull out couches probably aren’t ideal for a multi-night stay. Overall, we enjoyed the week!

A relaxing getaway on the bay

This cottage was the perfect place for my wife and 2 dogs to escape for the weekend. We kayaked every day in the bay and am already missing the views on the lake. The area is quiet and in my opinion the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. If I could’ve stayed for the whole summer I would’ve. The host was very responsive and gave us a great list of things to do in the area once we arrived. We will be back same weekend next year.

Cottage

Sweet cottage. Wooded with cut grass. Flowers, birds, bunnies. Short distance to dock on the narrows. Super clean, quaint, all looks original to the ‘70s. Everything worked perfectly. Peaceful. Loved it and would rent again. Great patio.

July 4th retreat with Labs

Dogs loved it, decor has feel that you are staying at grandma’s and neighbors are campers. So price felt bit out of line for overall experience. It worked for me and the dogs, would not been ideal for family.

Great Little Getaway

We stayed with our four kids and brought the boat. The kids fished off the dock where we parked the boat during our stay. In walking distance of a grocery store, Fiddleheads breakfast/lunch spot, the Boathouse Winery, the Capital Dog (great ice cream), a True Value and even a gas station.Plenty of seating on the deck and the four queen beds (two were pull out couches) worked for our family. If needed plenty of space for an air mattress. Typical northern Michigan cabin: small kitchen but open to the rest of the place, small bathroom, settled wood floors. so much charm, felt like going to grandmas house :) lots of extra towels and bedding if needed. AC units kept the house nice and cool in the humid late July heat!

Nice space, so many bugs though.

We immediately had to air the place out and kill 50 flies. There were many dead flies, ants and spiders throughout the place, also found mouse poop. Hair on the toilet seat/rim, as well as on the floors. We enjoyed or stay once we cleaned up the above issues. Worked out well to have our dog with us, which is why we booked this location. Was a nice space and had everything we needed just need more attention to cleaning before renters arrive.

We were sorely disappointed in this property. The smell of mildew was overpowering when we stepped into the home. We tried airing it out and using air fresheners but nothing worked for the entire week we were there. The home is an old vacation type with mismatched decor and tired fixtures. Dead bugs on the bed covers. Mouse droppings in the kitchen drawers. Had to wash all dishes and silverware before use. Floors were uneven and sloping. TV was very small. Towels were old and mismatched. Not one bar of soap. Two rolls of toilet paper. Lots of room for a larger family. Lake access is a walk down to a series of docks that say "do not enter". Location to area attractions is good.

Fishing weekend

My husband and his buddies stayed at the home for their boys weekend/ fishing weekend. The water pressure was good and seemed to have improved since the last review, so that's a plus. However it seems to be that the cupboards and kitchen drawers had mouse poop in them so they may need to be cleaned better, and there was no fire pit as advertised in the posting, they were really disappointed by that. The cleaning lady showed up at 10 instead of 11 per check out time, and once I reached out to the owner/management regarding that they promptly responded back so that was appreciated. Overall not a bad experience but definitely some things to improve upon. Thank you for the opportunity and hospitality in welcoming them in your home.

Thanks for the feedback! The firepit is on the front of the property. Large pad with brick pit and red chairs. We will make sure it's clear in the future. Also working with the cleaners!

Listing not as advertised

Terrible water pressure had us buying gallons of water at the nearby grocery store and using those to wash our hair and fill the back of the toilet so it would flush properly. I let the property manager know and I still haven’t gotten a response back. For the price per night, I would nnot recommend this rental!!
