Our stay in Salzburg could not have been better! Christine's property worked so well as a base for all our adventures. Christine was a wonderful host. She communicated and instructed us about the amenities of the property, where to shop, which bus stop to utilize for our trip to Eagle's Nest and use of the closest pedestrian bridge. We walked everywhere and explored everything! Her location right next to the Salzach River allowed us to visit key attractions including the historic Old Town (Altstadt), Hohensalzburg Fortress, and Mirabell Palace. My lifelong dream was to take the tour related to the filming locations of "The Sound of Music". I loved it! Our visit was everything I had hoped for!We cooked breakfast each morning before our adventures which was a money saver. The fridge was great for beverages and the washing machine was clutch, as this destination was in the middle of a 30 day trip. There is no dryer, so we simply hung our clothes to dry.We would not hesitate to return to this property! We thank Christine for her "house"potality and recommendations! Our time in Salzburg was memorable and fun!

Pros: Christine is an excellent host who went out of her way to assist us (e.g., permitted us to check in early, helped navigate a cancelled train situation, etc). The unit was large and we appreciated the ability to wash some clothes in her unit. We also appreciated the location which was convenient to everything we wanted to do.Cons: the unit was not as clean as we had hoped. Nothing terrible, but there were a few areas that needed to be cleaned better. Also, it was warm when we stayed so we slept with the windows open. The unit has some bars and clubs nearby so it was loud well into the night and early morning. It's possible that the noise would have been manageable with the windows closed, but we needed the breeze since the unit does not have AC.The price is reasonable, so if noise isn't a factor for you, then this is a convenient and large unit for your trip with a responsive host!

This property was beautiful and located on the side of a mountain. The interior of the property was well decorated and comfortable. It is within walking distance from every major attraction in Salsburg as well the eating district. The host was a very sweet lady who was very accommodating and hospitable.

well equipped apartment

Apartment was well equipped. Christine (the owner) met us at the apartment. She was very helpful and gave us information along with a couple of recommendations for eating out. Apartment is within easy walking distance of the Alt Stadt and just across from the river Salzbach.

Lovely Stay near Old Town

Fantastic location for old town and Christmas markets. Also close to bridges to cross river. Less than 5 minutes walk to supermarket. Easy check in with host greeting us. Handy to also have washing machine available. Highly recommend.

Excellent location and stay

Great location! never needed a bus for any Salzburg sites. I would definitely stay here again. Kitchenette perfect for a break from eating out all the time. The host was very pleasant to communicate with, English or German.

Excellent apartment

Apartment is spacious, very clean and well equipped. It's situated in a heart of Salzburg and all major attractions are within walking distance. Public transport stops are within 5 minutes walks that includes bus #10 to/from airport. Christine is a great host and all communications were great.

Old Salzburg

The location was ideal for exploring old Salzburg - a short walk to everything: historical sites, restaurants, shopping, cafes and the opera. We come from a rural area, so the only noise at night are frogs and insects. The apartment is just above a pub and just down the street from several more which meant there was revelry till sometimes 1 - 2AM. We could close the windows, however, that shut out the fresh air. Although we didn't cook while there, the kitchen seemed to be well equipped, the beds and pillows very comfortable. We would stay here again on a future trip to Salzburg due to convenient location.

Bezaubernd zweckmäßig

Die Wohnung liegt in einem der charakterstarken Wohnhäuser direkt im Fels des Mönchbergs. Zur Fußgängerzone ist es nur ein Katzensprung und doch herrscht hier mehr Ruhe als in den Altstadtgassen. Redtaurants, Cafès, Bars und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind direkt vor der Tür. Die Salzach ist keine 50 Meter entfernt und diese einmal überquert steht man schon fast im Mirabellgarten. Die Wohnung selbst ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet, ohne viel Schnickschnack - hat aber alles, was man so braucht. Aus dem Fenster heraus kann man fast die Markuskirche berühren. Kurz: Ideal für einen kürzeren oder auch längeren Aufenthalt in einer traumhaften Stadt. Die Vermieterin, ein Salzburger Original, ist sehr zuvorkommend und herzlich. Wir hdben uns hier wirklich wohl gefühlt.

Nettes Altstadtappartement in Top-Lage mit großartiger Gastgeberin

Unsere Woche im wunderschönen Salzburg hat uns mehr als gefallen! Die pittoreske Altstadt mit ihren zahlreichen, großen und kleinen Sehenswürdigkeiten, ihrer Geschichtsträchtigkeit und ihrer Architektur, ihrer Vielfalt und ihrem Charme hat uns verzaubert. Die Ferienwohnung ist überraschend günstig und wirklich in bester Lage: In einem kleinen Gässchen gegenüber der Flusspromenade an der Salzach und in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Altstadt gelegen, so dass ALLE Sehenswürdigkeiten ebenso wie Geschäftchen, Cafés und Restaurants in kürzester Zeit zu Fuß erreichbar sind. Und wenn man mal die beeindruckend schöne Natur, Berge und Seen im traumhaften Salzburger Umland genießen möchte, sind Bus- und Bahnverbindungen ebenfalls ganz nahe. Bedanken möchten wir uns auch bei unserer Gastgeberin Christine, die uns in ihrer herzlichen Art empfing, vor und während unseres Aufenthaltes hilfsbereit ansprechbar war und uns bei Bedarf alle Fragen orts- und sachkundig beantwortete. Eine Reise nach Salzburg lohnt sich sehr und wir Nordlichter aus Hamburg kommen gern einmal wieder! :-)

Nice apartment in a great location

The apartment was very clean and well stocked. It is the perfect size for a couple. The host checked us in herself and gave us tips on where to eat, shop and catch the local bus, It is in a great location in a very quiet neighborhood. Public transport, restaurants and grocery store are near by. It is just a short walk to Old Town. You won't go wrong with booking this one. We would stay here again.
