Cottage steps away from Newfound Lake. Relax and enjoy the view.

The perfect escape. Historic studio cottage, formally known as Bungalow Village. Front row cottage. It's just steps away from the beautiful Newfound Lake. Enjoy swimming, kayaking, or nature hikes.
Relax and enjoy the lake and mountain views from your private screened in front pouch. Community amenities included, such as shared playground, picnic area, fire pit, and private access to the beach. Restaurants are just minutes away. Indoor living: queen bed with storage draws and a futon twin sleeper bed. Kitchenette equipped with mini frig, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, and electric skillet. (gas grill outside the cottage). Cable TV. Bar seats and countertop area for eating.
Parking: 2 vehicles. Trailers are NOT allowed. Tents are NOT allowed.

The cottage was just as described, very clean, and very near lots to do and see around Newfound Lake! The host was quick to respond and very friendly. We enjoyed our stay, and it was hard to leave.

This adorable property is one of our favorite VRBO stays. They have outdone themselves with beautiful decor, comfortable queen bed and all the comforts and attention to the little details that others lack. Not having to lug towels and bedding was definitely a perk. This bungalo is small, but mighty and fully equipped. We were blessed by this stay with great weather and hosts that thought of everything you need and more!!! Who leaves fresh cream, coffee pods, tea, soaps, and even a box of popcorn....these hosts do!!! They are a dream to work with! We look forward to returning again!!! Thank you sweet hosts

This was our 4th year staying to celebrate the end of summer! Our cottage is in a perfect location across from the lake. We love the screened in porch overlooking the lake and the beautiful accommodations inside. Our hosts have done a great job making sure you have everything you need.

We have stayed at a couple of these little cottages & this one was the best! Communication was excellent prior to our trip, making checking in a breeze! The cottage is updated, clean & equipped with anything you may need. We really enjoyed our stay here. Looking forward to renting again next summer! Thank you so much

New found lake cottage

We had an amazing stay at this cottage. It had everything we needed. It was extremely clean and had such a great beach feeling. The host Dorothy was very meticulous. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking to have a wonderful stay on the lake with the best views. I will definitely be booking again.

Adorable cottage just steps from the lake. We booked this cottage as extra space for guests we had visiting, and it worked out perfectly. The property was quiet and well maintained, and the cottage is well equipped and tastefully decorated. Can't wait to return!

Can't Get Enough

This was my second stay here and booked a third! I stayed last fall and needed to experience it during the summer. Heaven! This cottage is perfect for a summer lake getaway. I stayed with a friend. It's quiet and private both at the cottage and on the lake. I loved the screened porch and the sunset views are beautiful. The hosts are very responsive and helpful. I can't wait to come back!

June stay

I stayed in the cottage for about five days in mid June. It was great. It is good for one or two people maximum. It is small but has everything you need and is not crowded because everything has arranged carefully. The landlords were very kind and helped me with any questions. It’s very close to the beach so you can just walk across the street to go swimming. Because it’s located near a main route, there is some noise from vehicles passing, especially motorcycles, but there is very little traffic at night.

This cottage is adorable and was perfect for my boyfriend and I. The location is great - just steps away from Newfound Lake. Perfect for laying out in a beach chair and swimming. They had beach chairs available and a cooler so we didn’t need to bring our own. You have the perfect view of the lake from inside and outside of the cottage. The screened in porch with rocking chairs is perfect for sitting and enjoying the view, having coffee in the morning and eating a meal. There is also a picnic table on the front lawn where we ate dinner one time and enjoyed the view and weather. There is a grill that we didn’t put to use but probably will next time! There are nice restaurants just minutes away and a cute local supermarket, Shacketts. Inside the cottage you have everything you need. There are plenty of fans and a heater for the cold nights. Everything you would need in the little kitchen area is there. There is a smart TV to use if needed but the view of the lake is much better than TV! There are a couple places nearby good for hiking or walking- Wellington State Park and Mill Stream Park. Dorothy and Wayne are super kind and do a great job at keeping the cottage beautiful and making sure it is clean. The color scheme of the cottage was a plus for me, with my favorite colors of mint green & teal (I think it was meant to be). I’d highly recommend this cottage for a peaceful getaway!

Beautiful getaway

Wonderful Time

The property was well maintained. It was nice and clean inside. They provided a lot of the basics. Even coffee and cream :) The hosts were responsive which I like. Overall my family and I really enjoyed our stay there. And the view, couldn’t get over it 👌

Low ceilings

We have stayed in a few different cottages at Newfound Sands. My husband is over 6’ tall. Some of the cottages have raised their roof to accommodate tall people. This one is original. Beware if you are tall. You will hit your head on the doorways and be ducking on the porch. Otherwise a great little cottage!

Small but efficient

Everything you need packed in the cutest little cottage. The modifications to this cottage were wonderful, the space was clean, the bed was comfortable, the lake was beautiful! The "beach" at the lake was rocky, but not too far down the road, Wellington state park had wonderful beach and lovely trails. We would definitely stay again!

Exceptional accommodations

I stayed here for a week with my teenage daughter. There is Wi-Fi, Smart TV and cable so she was in her glory! We have vacationed in 4 different studio cottages at Newfound Sands over the years and this one was by far our favorite. Other cottages were less expensive, but this one was priced fairly for what was included. The ONLY downside was no air-conditioning. It was very hot and humid out, so you do not want to be inside during the day. Nighttime was okay with all the fans blowing. With that said, Dorothy supplied the cottage with everything you would need and more. When I walked in, I said to my daughter "This woman is my spirit animal!" The cottage is beautifully decorated, the furnishings, linens/pillows provided were like new clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped to prepare light meals and a gas grill outside to cook the rest. The mini fridge has a freezer which was a plus for daily ice cubes. K-cups, sugar packets, tea, salt/pepper were a nice addition and best of all, Dorothy thoughtfully left a fresh carton of half & half in the fridge! There were beach floats, chairs, towels and a cooler to use. The public beach is directly across the street. This was the only cottage we have rented that had a binder with area information/pamphlets (we did the NLRA Eco boat tour). We will definitely rent from Dorothy again!

We found a great spot at Newfound lake.

The condo at the lake is cozy and being at the lake's shore is a plus. This was our 2nd year here and we look forward to our next year's being at the lake. Thank you Dorothy and Wayne.
