Family Vacation

The chalet is lovely and the property is beautifully situated in a secluded area - very relaxing and enjoyable. The host was very responsive. Would highly recommend and would return when we are next in the region!

March Break

Beautiful home and property in quiet neighbourhood. Conveniently located. Only a few minutes from grocery store. 30 mins from ski hill. 30 mins from Quebec City. It was a real treat to stay here for our March break.

Gorgeous House & Property

We wanted a white Christmas and to stay in a house with a lot of charm. This house definitely fits that description, but is also set on a beautiful piece of property. There were 6 of us in total (a pair of couples & 2 teenage boys) that the house accommodated. Would definitely recommend a stay here. Only downside for us was checkout is early at 10am (but also understand as I’m sure it takes time to get the house ready for new visitors).

Amazing house

We loved our week-long stay at this property. The house was extremely clean and had so many thoughtful additions like blankets for outside, towels for the hot tubs and a well-stocked kitchen with lots of appliances, pans and spices. We were even surprised by the space because we were expecting only 3 bedrooms but with an open loft area upstairs and a wide couch in the tv room, all 4 of my kids got their own sleeping space which made everyone very happy. The location of the home on the river was our favorite part. It was quiet, peaceful and so relaxing to sit outside. We would definitely recommend!

Gorgeous home in a beautiful location

This home is even prettier than displayed on the VRBO website. The Montmorency River is the best white noise machine ever! Chantal was very responsive to all questions and to a slight repair which was fixed within an hour. The kitchen is well equipped as is a lovely outdoor kitchen with a grill and Komodo smoker. Our adult kids fished. We enjoyed being in the outdoor hot tub while looking at the surrounding mountains. We would highly recommend this property!

River retreat

Gorgeous home on private estate where a river meets a stream. When it is calm (not after rains) you can play on the rocks in the river. Even our 5-year old had fun in the river. We grilled, made a campfire, enjoyed the hot tub, and played the games that were in the house. My favorite part was listening to the river all night from the upstairs bedroom where we kept doors and windows open all night. Grocery store was near; 30 minutes to Old Quebec and 45 minutes to national park. House was stocked with everything we needed- just had to buy food.

Absolutely wonderful

Just stayed here for our ladies trip from the States to Canada and this place far exceeded our expectations. The pictures are completely accurate. The home is clean and has everything you could need. The beds are very comfortable. Absolutely loved being right on the river. We would open the windows at night just to listen to the river flow. There is a grocery store down the main road which was great. Allowed us to load up on everything we needed prior to getting to the house. It seems like everything is so close by making the location of the home great as well. We visited Quebec City, Montmorency Falls, Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, Île d’Orléans and Parc national de la Jacques‑Cartier. Each place seemed an hour or less away and the drives are always beautiful. I would highly recommend this home for a family stay or trip with your friends.

The Key Destination of Quebec

Overall, this property lived up to our expectations. We really loved it. The house itself is so cool with unique nooks and crannies. Stairs leading to bedrooms that are incredible. We spent most of our time in the kitchen and great room. We had memorable dinners on the island together and the kitchen was great. The kids really enjoyed the TV loft room and treated it like their own apartment. Without a doubt, the highlight is outside with the hot tube overlooking the river and the outdoor grill and kitchen. We spent most evenings out there. Next is the location. We loved this the most as it was so close to three areas for us. 1. 35 mins from downtown Quebec. So incredible! We spent 3 days there. So many things to see, dinners were the best, the sights and European style is the best. Also, we speak very little French but we got along well and people were very kind to us. 2. 1-3 hours from a drive up the St. Lawrence River coast. This was our most favorite. We saw seals and had great views. Also the chance for whales. 3. 30 mins from the National Park up in the mountains, Parc National de La Jacques Cartier. Truely beautiful. We have seen many mountains, and this park is rated up there. Overall, 5 stars. Highly recommend.

Très décevant.

À notre arrivée, la température dans le chalet était de 13C. La température extérieure était de -19C. Ce n'est que le lendemain soir que celle-ci est montée à 22C. Une des salles de bain était inutilisable puisque les tuyaux étaient gelés. Le fourneau n'a jamais atteint une température assez chaude pour pouvoir y cuire quoi que ce soit.

Incredible secluded location on a river. Excellent ammenaties, clean, private, quiet.

This is an amazing home on a river in a secluded area just north of Quebec City. The house is very clean, and the ammenties exceeded my expectations. My family enjoyed an amazing long weekend there. The weather was perfect and there's just enough breeze off the river to keep you cool on the hot days. I would definitely rent again if the oppertunity arises.

dreamy river home

This is a wonderful house. I wouldn't hesitate to rent again. The location is perfect. Sitting at the house, you feel completely isolated in nature near the picture-perfect river. You have a supermarket and pharmacy within 10 minutes and Quebec City within 1/2 hr. The house feels both comfortable and grand at the same time. It is very clean and smells wonderful. The kitchen is well stocked. There are lots of games to play and a puzzle to do. We enjoyed preparing and eating dinners both inside and out. My teens had fun playing on the river while my husband caught fish. Coming from the US, we were concerned about the lack of air conditioning in the summer. Turns out, it was not an issue. One fan (provided) in the upstairs bedroom was all that was required. The other bedrooms stayed cool, and we didn't need the on-site portable air conditioner. Chantal is super-responsive. Check-in and check-out were very easy.

Un séjour mémorable

Si vous voulez vous dépayser. c'est l'endroit idéal! La résidence est superbe avec toutes les commodités pour un séjour agréable. Le site est unique en son genre, reposant et très bien aménagé. La communication avec la propriétaire a été parfaite et les réponses à mes questions ont été très rapides. Je recommande cet endroit sans hésiter.
