This beach cottage is just steps to the beach. Perfect for family vacations, girl's weekends, large groups, & couples. Nestled among the palmetto and oak trees giving you plenty of privacy & the feeling of staying in a tropical paradise. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths & 2 living rooms great for entertaining large groups. Hang out on the large screened-in porch with the whole family and listen to the waves come crashing in. Just 1 block from the beach & 1 mi to Folly Beach center, bars & restaurants. Anna Bell's Cottage is an iconic 1940s beach house. Recently renovated in 2022. With central HVAC, new interior upgrades to the kitchen and throughout the house. Each room is furnished with pillow-top mattresses for a comfortable night's rest. Open floor plan. Large kitchen with new appliances and a fully equipt kitchen for those home-cooked meals.

This house offers that classic beach house vibe. Spend the days relaxing on the beach and the evenings on the screened-in porch listening to South Carolina wild life. Take a quick stroll to Folly's quaint eclectic center street for local food and shopping.

Folly Beach is a small town on a barrier island, in South Carolina, just south of Charleston. Its home to locals and native wildlife like Dolphins and waterfowl Center Street is lined with surf and souvenir shops.

Folly Beach County Park has picnic areas and a pelican rookery. Infamous beaches and wildlife-rich habitats, Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve has views of Morris Island Lighthouse, completed in 1876.

Folly beach cottage

This cottage was just what we needed for a girl’s trip getaway. The proximity to the beach and the accessible beach gear were so convenient. Would stay here again.

Great place for our family!

Property is in a great location away from the busier parts of town but you are also very close to the beach. We loved that they provided beach toys for the kids and a crib for our baby. We’d stay again!!

Perfect location

Quiet, no crowds. Easy walk to the beach. Quick walk or car ride to restaurants and shops. Plenty of space for our group of adults and teens.

The old style home is so Folly! Inside was super clean. The listing photos on VRBO were a bit different than actual. We needed the extra queen bed for our family. The owner did make an adjustment. The table in the kitchen was perfect to hang around while we cooked our meals. The neighbors were super friendly. Yard was in need of a cut. Landscapers showed up the day before we left. The screen porch was also in need of a clean up. With it being the end of the season I am sure was just overlooked a bit.

Extremely close walking distance to public beach access. Older beach house with new appliances. Quiet neighborhood, perfect for families with small children. Easy self check in with electronic keypad. Enjoyed our stay!

This was our first time staying at Folly without being right on the beach so we were nervous. I have to say we were in love with this house and the location made it so easy to get the beach. There is path right beside the house that puts you out about a block from the beach access and it’s a straight shot! We were able to go back at lunch and bring lunch out to the beach. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was so modern and well stocked. Plus everything was so clean and we didn’t see one bug which I think it pretty impressive for a house near the beach. We had a blast and loved this experience! We cooked the first night and ordered out the last two nights. We seriously sat on the beach from 9-6 every day. Thanks for a great stay!

A Gem in Folly Beach!

We really enjoyed our stay here at Anna Belle’s. The house was bigger then we thought and it was super comfortable. Our dog loved the yard and it was a quick walk to the beach. The house was cozy and clean, new kitchen appliances and the beds were comfy. We will definitely come back and will stay again!!

Loved it!

We loved our stay at Anna Bell’s Cottage. It was a one minute walk to the most beautiful beach! There was lots of room for our whole family to spread out. We played games in the screened in porch. We enjoyed lots of meals around the huge island in the kitchen. I would highly recommend staying here with your family.

Great location, a straight shot about a block from to the beach with public access right there. The house is very cute, homey, and open. Check in was easy. Plenty of space for parking. The listing does need some updating, some beds had been moved around from where they were in the photos to different rooms and the bed for our 8th person was missing when we arrived. We managed with two to one of the singles and the couch was spacious enough to sleep but would have liked that specified on the listing before hand. Kelly did follow up and offer to bring an air mattress and was able to let us check in a little early. The stay over all was great. Perfect for a classic homey beach spot with nice neighbors. Loved the quiet location so close to town, the many large tables for dining, and especially the personal outdoor shower and hose in the back yard. Kitchen amenities all provided, beach chairs and accessories were also available to us. Would definitely book here again!

Family Vacay

The place was nice, with a recently updated kitchen. The screened in porch was very nice but VERY dirty. I reached out the the property owner was very helpful and willing to send someone over to clean, but we had already taken care of it. Overall, it was a nice place, close to the beach for our large family.

The location of this house was great. Very close to the beach and downtown area. The address/ directions provided were a little confusing. Communication with the host was slow and/ or non-responsive. The house was cute but not very clean. Lots of bugs. Left over messes from the previous guests. The listing pictures need to be updated, the beds are not the same as shown. Thankfully, two of our girls ended up not coming otherwise we wouldn’t have had enough room for everyone. I would say this house sleeps 6-7 max. Definitely not suitable for 8 guests. The outdoor patio was a great touch and had lots of supplies. I did reach out to the host regarding some concerns but did not receive a response.

Classic little cottage

Classic beach cottage. A little dated, but all you need to relax. Nice kitchen and great big screened porch. Bedrooms and baths are a little outdated, but you don't spend much time there anyway. Kitchen could use better dishes and glassware, but did have a good selection of cookware. Great location, easy walk, one block to the beach! We would go back!

Wonderful place in great location

We had a wonderful time. The house is exactly as described- very clean and spacious and cozy and well appointed. It is literally steps to the beach and one can hear the waves. The screened porch is really nice. The owners provide plenty of beach equipment which is great. The kitchen is big and there is everything provided one needs for excellent dinners. We love our time in the cottage and will come back for sure. It is very nice to have three bathrooms and three bedrooms and plants of space. The location is fantastic- it is quiet and safe and beautiful with the life oak trees and palm trees. The beach is wonderful for swimming and fun and long walks. Just a great place - highly recommended. The owners are very responsive and easy to communicate with and make sure one has a pleasant stay!

Excellent location/not so excellent house

The location of the house was wonderful, 1 minute walk , on beach! The house needs lots of repair , the floors in living rooms kitchen/dinning are coming up and the floor foundation is structurally not sound, the stove was gas , good but it was tilted because the floors were so wavy.,the bathroom off of kitchen had drain knats and was really in need of repair, the carpets were gross need cleaning and the back bed room was damp and musty , I had to clean my suitcase and sanitize when I got home , the mildew smell was bad…. So we were all there , what’s one to do , we made it work.. I would not rent it again, sad, it could be cute , but the owner really needs to do the repairs!

Folly Getaway

First let me say that I would recommend this cottage to anyone. The house was clean with fresh daisys and a bottle of wine waiting for us. The beds are comfy and plenty of room. Its an older home with an old school Folly feel. Kitchen was well stocked, back porch is amazing and quick walk to the beach. My only issue was that the owner communication was nil. We arrived early and asked if we could check in early (which could have been an easy no as it was a holiday weekend but an answer would have been kind) but there was no response, so we asked again, stll no reply. At 4pm we put the code in but it didnt work. After a few tries we realized they had the symbol wrong in the directions. Anyway, I'll chalk it up to a busy holiday weekend, and it really was a great little house.
