This Lakefront Lodge (known as " Black Bear Lodge") is a one-of-a kind open concept lodge offering a private sandy beach on Horace Lake's pristine 300 acres. The property has quaint little bridges & risers going over a babbling brook singing you to sleep each night. The Lodge boasts 4 bedrooms with 3.5 baths. There are 2 Master King Bedrooms (one has an ensuite 1st floor & one on 2nd). 1-Queen Bedroom & 1-Twin Bunk room. All distinctively appointed bedrooms have waterfront views. The home is fully equipped with all the modern conveniences including a dishwasher, microwave, glass stove top & oven, washer/dryer, cable and internet all for the enjoyment of our guests. Outdoor amenities include a gas grill (full tank), sundeck with table & chairs (up to 16 guest seats), Adirondack chairs with ottomans, a swim dock, boat dock, Hammock, a 2-person Swing, rack for your boats & fire pit. A brand-new beautiful stone gas fireplace with remote is located in the main living area. The house also has a flat screen smart TV with cable and internet. Come enjoy the long days of untouched nature here in peaceful Weare New Hampshire. The starry nights are best watched from your private beach or deck overlooking our quiet Horace Lake. Sit by the fire pit and tell stories of your days adventures or create a new story that night. Central Air on the 1st floor & mini split air conditioning on the 2nd floor.

Wonderful Respite

The lodge and grounds are pleasant, inviting, and well-maintained, and the setting is beautiful. The lodge itself is also nicely renovated. My wife and I, and two other couples, enjoyed a delightful long weekend away and look forward to enjoying Black Bear Lodge again in the future.

Beautiful property!

Beautiful property! We rented this for an intimate wedding ceremony by the water with a dock for our boat entry. The setting was perfect! The house was spotless and exceeded my expectations. There is a small country store 10 minutes away that had everything we needed like coffee and snacks. There is a delicious pizza place 14 minutes away that served as a Friday night treat. Kristyn was very responsive and accommodating. Everything was wonderful. I would highly recommended and we will definitely be back to celebrate our Anniversary!

Breathtaking and impeccably styled- a perfect getaway

We had a truly wonderful week at Black Bear Lodge. From our initial inquiry to renting to check-in and check-out— all communication was fantastic. Our family is still very Covid cautious and Kristyn was so supportive and able to accommodate our request for a few added precautions. We visited at the end of September and it was a peaceful week on Lake Horace, which is breathtaking. Black Bear Lodge itself is pristine and impeccably styled. The kitchen is well-stocked and high-end. The sandy beach is perfect for little ones and four-legged family members. All bedrooms have views of the lake and the gas fireplace was the perfect touch at the start of Fall. We can’t wait to return!

Spacious,immaculate fully renovated lake front home with private beach and swim dock, and a yard perfect for games!

This absolutely breathtaking home is beautiful inside and out. Three full bedrooms and one bedroom with a bunk bed provide space for a large family or two or more families sharing the house. The bathrooms are fully updated with high end finishes. The first floor master bedroom has a en-suite and the upstairs bedrooms share a hall bathroom with separate shower room and powder room. The first floor is open concept with a fully equipped kitchen with every kitchen tool you might need as well as dishes, glassware and utensils for plenty of guests. The huge center island has places for five to comfortably sit and chat. The living room is spacious with plenty of seating and a huge TV. There is a half bath on the main floor and even a half bath accessible from the yard for quick trips from the beach and lake. The enclosed and gated deck is accessible from the main bedroom and from the living room and has a large picnic table and umbrella. The yard is quite large and has a beautifully crafted wooden swing for four and another swing for two as well as another picnic table and umbrella and a table for two right by the lake. The white sand private beach area provided hours of fun for the children in our group and the private swim dock to swim to and jump from was so much fun for all of us. The yard is well maintained and has seasonal flowers and flowering bushes that provide color and a pretty backdrop to the yard. Kristyn, our contact for the rental, was incredibly helpful in all ways and extremely quick to respond to any questions. Lake Horace in Weare, NH is a very family oriented lake with small watercraft. The lake is busy on the weekends but quiet during the week. The kayaks we were able to rent to use on the lake provided hours of fun to explore this lovely lake. I would highly recommend Black Bear Lodge for your family and Lakefront Luxury Rentals as a most friendly and efficient company to rent from.

Our August three generational lakeside vacation

Our family gathered at Lake Horace to enjoy a family vacation in western NH. The Black Bear lodge filled all our requirements and more. The sandy beach at lakeside was perfect for our crew of children under 7 yrs old. The accommodations were fantastic. The newly renovated house had everything needed and more. Our stay was rated 5 by all. We hope to return again!

Beautiful, clean property

We stayed here with three couples and three kids under 3 years old. There was plenty of space for everyone to eat, sleep, and play. Kids loved the sandy beach and there's a good amount of shade out there in places, which was good for little ones' sensitive skin. Everything was very clean and the kitchen is well-appointed with everything we needed. The bedding was comfortable and there was plenty of outdoor seating. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the great and timely communication with the owner or property manager when we had questions or needed anything. I'd highly recommend Black Bear Lodge to anyone looking for a peaceful lake retreat.

Great Week

The place is exactly as depicted. We were 6 adults, 2 toddlers and an infant. Everything is clean and new. The beach is amazing for children and the dock was very convenient for our pontoon boat. Plenty of bathrooms for a large group including an outside toilet which was handy when hanging on the beach. Would definitely recommend and hope to return again.

Highly recommend!

My family and I stayed at this beautiful cabin over Thanksgiving. It was a wonderful stay, with beautiful views of the lake and a warm, cozy vibe inside. It was pretty far out into the country (20 min drive to the nearest grocery store) but this is exactly what we wanted, country feel, away from the craziness of the city. We went grocery shopping prior to our visit which I highly recommend to prevent from having to drive in. Also Kristyn was amazing and was quick to respond with any questions we had. Overall I highly recommend the Black Bear Cottage. 12/10!

Great Get Away

Spent a week in this very nice property w/my 4 sisters. Despite its remote setting, the location on the lake is worth the drive. It’s a lovely home w/modern amenities. We enjoyed the gas fireplace inside & the fire pit outside! Had so much fun… highly recommend.
