Lovely Experience

This was my first time using Vrbo and it did not disappoint. The home did have a rather old smell to it but a few lit candles cleared that up in minutes. The rooms were rather spacious and my son loved the pool.

House was clean and spacious. Host made sure we were able to get in without any problem. Provided complimentary coffee pods and water. Pool was clean. We enjoyed our stay.

Family time

Not the greatest in location, loder house with quiet neighbor-hood easy to find and close to lots of good shopping and eating places. Owner extremely nice and helpful went above and beyond to get us what we needed Lots of fun things for the kids to do there and a TV in every room. Kids really had fun in pool!

Everything was mostly okay'. There were.no bathing towels at all. This inconvenienced as i had buy some. There were.no washing detergent either .

Safe Quiet Functional Family House

Due to a cancellation of another property I booked on VRBO, I was left stranded in Houston. This house was available and I’m glad it was. It was perfect for our needs. The beds were super comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and after a long day, it was fun to return to and unwind. The host was attentive to our needs. I would book this again.

accurate description with recent pics - so you get what you see

Decent neighbourhood - although the pile of rubbish on the verge 100yds before the house was initially offputting Nothing much nearby but easy to get onto major ringroad. Toll roads everywhere in Houston House itself is clean but rather tired. Rusty entrance gate , peeling paint, sofa springing gone so very soft, cracked tiles in shower , a couple of rotting doorframes we had a major thunderstorm and one window leaked - would bother me if buying but not a problem for a weeks rent. Linens and some towels provided - we took our own pool towels. Plenty of soap, toilet paper, bin bags and kitchen roll - first place I've stayed where we didnt run out of something. All the equipment works - bedside lights would be a nice addition Host is great, very helpful and there is a friendly pool guy who popped in

Communication with host was minimal, i had not received check in information the morning of so i messaged. The host did message back for us to send a code and although we didnt hear anything back, the code did work when we arrived. We didnt have any problems with neighbors. The house is older, rotting trim around back door. House has poor lighting, no fixture in the living room but has a lamp and no fixture above pool table. Windows not sealed great.There is a pool table, pool sticks have no tip. Ping pong table can be set on pool table but no pink pong balls. Did not use air hockey table in garage. Each room has a roku TV, did not find a remote for one of them upon arrival.Pool was clean and is deep! Took a look at the grill and decided not to use. 2 towels per room located in the closet.Wifi info and minimal check out info is posted on the wall. Overall it was okay no major issues just didnt feel home-y or like a vacation house. Would have liked to feel more welcoming from host.

It's a comfortable stay, it's a clean house, there's a pool. There's a pool table. It feels safe although the neighborhood's a little older. There's lots of things nearby to shop eat etc. but also at night there were people drunk in the streets yelling at each other. There's some quirks. The pool table has no light above it. And you're going to end up hitting the wall a few times with the sticks. The only light in the room is above a dining room table and it's not very bright. There's not any above lights in the living room there's only the corner light. The kitchen has a full stove and oven. But only two of the burners work. There's a refrigerator and a freezer that's really strong. But if you don't close refrigerator door all the way things don't get cold. There's blackout curtains in the living room, but not in any of the bedrooms. The shower downstairs is nicely tiled, however there's water spitting out from all the ends of the fixtures. There's a soap conditioner and shampoo dispenser, but there's nothing in them. Some of the window panels have cracks in them, some of the outer trim of doors look like they're falling apart. Pool was clean and there was an outdoor table with an umbrella. There are plates and bowls and pans, silverware, there was a can opener but it was broken. So if you're reading this and then later on you see a can opener in the house just know that I put that there. There's no bottle openers, like corkscrews. So bring your own.

The home was ok for the price we paid. We couldn't find the living room remote, but 1 of the bedroom remotes worked for the living room tv. My kids were able to swim once while we were there. The pool was clean, but my kids had scraped up feet when they got out due to the bottom of the pool being really rough. We tried to wash clothes, but the dryer did not want to dry our clothes, we had to run it numerous times for our clothes to dry. Overall, it was an okay stay.
