A first floor canal 3 room studio within 10 min walk of Amsterdam Central Station. On a very quiet street but steps away from cafes, stores and popular tourist spots.

The studio is reached by a flight of stairs. 2 bedrooms on your left, a bathroom, and sitting area w/ kitchen facilities & coffee bar on the right. Lovely window canal side window seat.

Room #1 is a full size bed (140 cm)
Room #2 has a single bed (80 cm) and a couch
Room # 3 has a seating area pull out queen bed (160 cm).

All mattresses are new as of 2022

This apartment is a lovely place to stay in Amsterdam. It is comfortable and you can enjoy nice views while sitting on the back patio or on the window seats in the front room. It is close to all the action, but so quiet. I would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay in this bright apartment overlooking the canal. It’s in a quiet and charming area close to restaurants and amenities and just a 5-minute walk to the metro, which made getting around the city super easy. The hosts were incredibly gracious, thoughtfully welcoming us with bread and homemade treats. The apartment had everything our family of four needed, including a fold-out couch and a loft-style bed, which worked well for our two teenage boys. It was a perfect home base for exploring Amsterdam. Highly recommend!

Heidi is a responsive and hospitable host who took great lengths to prepare breads and cakes! A suitable apartment for families. Stairs are quite steep and inconvenient if you have many luggages, and the carpet in the living room may benefit from extra cleaning.

Simply Outstanding Home Base

Heidi and Bernard’s hospitality is simply the best we’ve experienced in a vacation rental. The apartment is secure and easy to access with a key code lock at the ground level. There’s one steep flight of stairs up to the first-floor apartment—a perfect introduction to the culture of Amsterdam! :)Heidi and Ben live above the rental and are always available if needed. The apartment has two distinct bedrooms with doors. One bedroom includes a comfortable couch that converts into a bed, a single loft bed, and access to a large porch overlooking a lovely playground actively used by local families.The kitchenette had everything we needed to prepare continental breakfasts and light dinners “at home.” The window seat in the living room is a great spot to sip coffee and watch the canal and the bustling community center across the way.The apartment is bright and sunny, with cheerful splashes of teal and orange that create a lively Ikea-inspired vibe. At check-in, we were instantly made to feel at home with a warm greeting, friendly conversation, and a comprehensive tour of the space.To our amazement—and we've stayed in over 20 vacation rentals—our hosts had stocked the apartment with bread, butter, jam, yogurt, milk, juice, soda, tea, coffee, fresh fruit, cereal, instant soup, trail mixes, beer, wine, and freshly baked banana bread.In my opinion, this level of thoughtfulness elevates Heidi and Bernard’s rental beyond a 5-star rating.

Heidi's Heart Is In It

The apt. was just as described, and the location is perfect. We have stayed in countless vacation rentals for years. What defines a place is when an owner really cares, as Heidi does. She hosted with unlimited treats and was genuinely concerned about our comfort. - We recommend this place for comfort and convenience!

It has everything you need!

This apartment is so close to the city center! Do not worry about needing toilet paper or paper towels because Heidi provides everything you need including coffee and milk. I highly recommend this apartment! When my friend fell down and hurt her knee, they even provided a Band-Aid for her. Heidi also baked us some delicious bread! The trip and the flat were both amazing!

Lovely time had by all and very welcoming hosts

We were greeted and down round the cosy apartment by one of our hosts Ben. Both Heidi and Ben were most generous and we arrived to a well stocked fridge and larder. The apartment was as described, comfortable and in a really great position to see central Amsterdam by foot. It was amazing to stay in the heart of the city and have a bite into a canal. We’d come back anytime!

A cut above

We have been traveling through Italy, France, Belgium and the Netherlands for the last 6 weeks, staying at VRBOs the whole time. This place was definitely one of the homiest places we’ve stayed. The footprint is small, but it’s very well thought out, so feels comfortable and offers lots of amenities. Heidi gave us a quick tour with check-in, and the place was stocked with staples and charming welcome treats. The location was excellent and very walkable. Note there’s no oven or stovetop, but there is a microwave & fridge, coffee station etc. The owners live in the apartment above you. We found them to be flexible and helpful. I’d recommend their place without hesitation!

Highly recommend!

Heidi's canal suite was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The suite is in an excellent location with easy access/walking distance to all Amsterdam has to offer. Freshly baked muffins, fresh fruit, ham, cheese, coffee, and tea plus countless snacks and nibbles were provided. Heidi recommended several excellent restaurants a short walk from the suite. Heidi and Ben were fabulous hosts... welcoming and very responsive from booking through to our departure.

Great place and location

The property is right downtown. Super convenient for food and activities around Amsterdam. Place is exactly as described. You do have to go up one flight of stairs - so not handicapped accessible. Otherwise great place.

This was a great apartment in a great location. It was quiet yet central. Our child loved the bunk bed and there were lots of provisions and facilities provided. Would definitely look for it if returning to Amsterdam.

Heidi's apartment was brilliant for our family of 4 - the location is perfect as close to everything but also down a quiet street. Heidi was so generous in leaving many food & drink items for us - beer, cold drinks, coffee, tea, fruit, ham & cheese plus snacks and nibbles, very kind and appreciated!

This is a great place to stay. The hosts are super helpful. They answered several questions for us. The location can’t be beat, it’s close to almost everything and also close to transportation options. Apartment was just right for us!

Great location

This property was a great location in the center of Amsterdam. ~10 min walk to central station and there are multiple metro stops for you to be able to get around if you don’t want to walk. Hedi was super easy to communicate with and made our stay really welcoming. She had lunch meat, bread, banana bread, and other goodies for us upon our arrival.

Loved this apartment

It had a great view, and was cozy! Heidi was super responsive to any questions we had! Lots of yummy snacks were provided! Loved bunk beds for our teens in second bedroom! Highly recommend!

Great location

We spent 4 nights with our kids in Heidi’s apartment. Location is awesome. On a quiet street but 2 blocks to restaurants, bars and all the action. Well stocked place. 4 adults might feel a bit tight but we did just fine with our young adult boys. We’d stay again. Thanks Heidi.

Excellent space, excellent hosts

I was so happy that I found this space while planning our stay in Amsterdam and it worked out amazingly. The space is as advertised, with two bedrooms and a sitting area and small kitchen. It is a great location with lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. What sets this space above the rest is the hosts. Heidi and Ben were responsive and provided wonderful comforts above and beyond what is required. Thank you!

Great location, mediocre quality

This property is overpriced for what it offers, but it is in a great location. I requested an independent experience, as advertised by VRBO, but the check-in was slow, and I realized the windows had no lock (the house is on a low floor). Heidi's partner, Mason, was really unpleasant during the initial interaction on the first day, entering the house multiple times and complaining with me only because I had placed a ruler from the bedroom to the windows to block them, for security purposes. He mentioned that no modifications were allowed, though it was simply moving an object from one part of the room to another. For this price, one would expect to feel welcomed, yet the initial interaction was just unpleasant. Heidi's partner was able to solve the problem of the locks, though. I did not see the hosts for the remainder of the stay, and that was the best part of my experience.
