Located on a peaceful 8-acre estate, Everwood Cottage is a 700 square foot escape from close-quarters living. This studio space has 1 Queen bed and a Queen-size sofa sleeper, plus a full kitchen, bathroom, and washer/dryer.

The outdoor space is a major highlight! Your own English garden wall surrounds the green space with room to stretch out or sit around the fire-pit and watch for squirrels, deer, owls, foxes, or maybe even a woodpecker!
Puppies are welcome!

TDY Military: We can provide a receipt for DTS.

The cottage is a very nice and quiet place to stay for our short vacation. It had everything we wanted and the washer and dryer came in handy. It was a perfect place to bring our dog with for his first trip.

Great place to stay near McKendree Univ. Kitchen was better equipped than some house VRBO’a we have stayed in. Beautifully decorated and exactly as the pictures show. We will be back! Thank you for sharing your cottage with us.

Great weekend at the cottage

We had an absolutely lovely weekend at the cottage in Shiloh. The location was perfect for all of our needs, and we loved the comfortable space. We would definitely stay here again!

Best little cottage ever!

I could not have been happier with staying at Everwood Cottage. It's cute, cozy and has everything you need to have an enjoyable, comfy stay. I loved the nature setting it was in, and the quiet, peaceful environment surrounding the place. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I had three excellent nights of sleep. (Obviously, this is subjective.) Sitting out in the yard was so nice while meditating, listening to the birds singing all about. The hosts were the best! Very attentive, quick to respond with every communication; reaching out making sure I was satisfied and enjoying my stay. Do not hesitate renting this beautiful space. You won't regret it!

Another great trip to Shiloh!

It is peaceful and quiet; cozy, and pretty well equipped to handle our cooking needs. The location is perfect for visiting family in the area. We will definitely stay in Everwood Cottage again!

Everwood Cottage

This place is adorable!! Very peaceful, I loved the big window looking out over the back yard! Plenty of space, but it was just me visiting.

Excellent Location, Wonderful amenities

Our second stay at this cottage was just as lovely as our first. The setup is perfect for 2 people with lots of space so you feel very comfortable. They also welcomed our dogs and have a great yard for them to hang out in. The cottage is close to St Louis, but still has a country living feel. Owners are quick to respond to any questions and lovely to deal with. We recommend this cottage.

Nice Private Cottage

Great area, great host, & the place had about everything needed. Shower is tiny, minisplit unit not user friendly (blows straight at face and not easy to try and get adjusted.) Could not personally stay here again strictly due to the mattress but that’s entirely subjective; everything else was nice.

Cute cottage

Overall the stay was good. Cottage was as described and met all our needs. It was well equipped and great spot for traveling with our pups. Only issue/complaint would be the heating situation. Weather was in mid 30-40 degree range and the cottage was not warm when we arrived. The mini split unit seemed to struggle to keep the place warm.

Great little house.

The house was very clean. It had everything we could need and it was in a very quite neighborhood. Nothing seemed to be more than a few minutes away. The owners checked on us via e-mail to see if we needed anything while we were there. They are very nice people.

Everything was perfect with our stay. Was perfect for or dogs, one of who can struggle with being overwhelmed. Place had everything you could possibly need and will definitely try to stay here again if we’re looking for something in the area again.

Everwood Cottage

We were there for a family wedding and needed a place to stay. We are so glad we found the cottage. It was so peaceful and quiet. A perfect place for us to retreat to for rest and relaxation. The hosts were in touch to make sure we had everything we needed. It was stocked pretty well though it could use better knives and a better can opener. We look forward to returning again some day.

Quiet Getaway

The place with everything; everything needed in a kitchen--even dish soap, trash bags. There was a washer and dryer--did a great job. Our dogs loved going outside and I liked the fact it was fenced. No one to bother you--quiet and in a location close to places to eat. We would book again.

Great property, great hosts

We had an event to attend in the area and were lucky enough to find this gem. This cute, pet friendly property with a fenced in yard was perfect for us, and allowed us to bring our dog with us for our long weekend trip. Highly recommend!

Most practical Stay we’ve had

This was the cutest little cottage that had everything we needed. We like to cook at home and we’ve never had all the things needed when staying other places but everything we needed was available and amazing! Our pup had a great time in the yard also.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This cottage was a pool house about 35yrs ago! The pool was filled in decades ago and the pool house was abandoned. We bought the property in 2021 and resurrected it to be a cool cottage in the woods with a fun outdoor space. It has been a passion project for us, so we hope you enjoy it!
