Charge your soul, charge your car! "A Shore Thing" is a beautiful, newly remodeled and updated three-bedroom, two-bathroom second row beach home with ocean views. Located in the Swan Lake subdivision of Surfside Beach just steps to the sand. Amazing water views from a large covered front deck, just a short walk to the beach. Shaded parking under the house. Guests can enjoy the charcoal grill and enclosed shower downstairs for rinsing off when you return from the sandy beach. Upgraded whole-house water filtration plus additional reverse osmosis (RO) faucet in kitchen. ** Guests can charge their cars here with the sought-after NEMA 14-50 outlet. (Please bring your charging cables.) ** There are 2 security cameras on the exterior of the home to cover the deck and underneath the home. They do not record audio and are installed solely for protection of property,

Great stay

Nice house close to the beach. We loved the shaded front porch. The house had updates throughout. We appreciated the water filter in the kitchen.

June 20-25 Fanily Vacation

We had an amazing time staying here! They had everything we needed, and of course they told us what extra stuff to bring just in case. We had a week stay and it was a great time away! Only thing i suggest is bring extra bug spray for between the houses on the walk to the beach. The host always answered any time i had a question and was very nice. Thank you for letting us make this our home away from home!

Our stay was amazing, it’s was right in the middle of everything we did. The towels were the only thing, they were worn and dark stains looked like someone polished their boots. We loved the house and very well stocked. We want to rent for next year Great place!!

Beach view at an affordable price

You can see and hear the waves from the very spacious covered front porch. The only thing missing from the kitchen was garlic powder. The king bed was so comfortable and I really enjoyed my afternoon nap on the living room couch. The neighborhood is so quiet. There’s a little sandy opening on the dunes that you can walk across to get to the beach. I definitely recommend the house and we will definitely be going there in the future.

Clean spacious but water smell was horrible.

The house was clean and spacious. The only bad thing was the water smell and pressure was horrible it was a very bad smell to even wash your teeth we had to use water bottles.

Daughter Birthday party

We enjoyed our stay for the weekend. The house was very clean, great location. The rooms were very big and beds were comfortable. The only thing is that their were tons of roofing nails that we had to pick up so no one got hurt.

Freeport Getaway

The house was very pretty and clean. Our favorite part was the open plan living room and kitchen area where we got to hang out and play games. We also loved how close the beach was. Everything was perfect and we were very happy with our stay.

Great House

We stayed here with another family and this house is really nice, spacious, and updated! The kid room was great to have to entertain our 5 kids!!! We really enjoyed staying here and will book again!

Wonderful time at surfside

We had a wonderful time at this home, beautiful and comfortable inside and outside on the deck. Anytime we had any questions they were attended to very quickly. I love that you could see the beach from the deck and it was easy access. Would definitely come again 😀

Nice Beach Home

The property was really nice. We had seven kids with us and the house accommodated us perfectly. It's been renovated recently. If you are a fan of Surfside, this is a great little place to call home for your beach getaway.

A Shore Thing is a sure thing!

Vacation on Surfside Beach was awesome for my nieces and their families. I rented this lovely beach house for my nieces and their families. There was lots room for all 10 of them and probably could have had for a couple more people. The location was great, short walk to the beautiful beach and not far of you wanted to go into Galveston. The house was very clean and had a large open living room /kitchen area. Our Host Matt was very quick to response to questions and got back quickly. Definitely would love to come back.

Only issue we had was the AC in one bedroom. The room wouldnt cool as well as the rest of the home. Being coffee ... everything else was perfect!!

Awesome House very close to beach

This property was great. One short walk between the two houses on the first row and we were at the beach! House had plenty of dishes, pots and pans as well. There were lots of games we played when it got too dark for the little ones to be at the beach. Beds are comfortable, towels were great quality and the whole home set up was awesome. Plenty of space! Beach can be seen from chairs on porch. My kids range in age from 3 to 18 and everyone had an amazing time!

Beautiful property!

If you are looking for an affordable family get away right near the beach, this is the place for you! The house is very well kept, with beautiful interiors and a stunning view of the ocean. There was plenty of room for our family (8 adults, 4 children). We had an amazing time. The only thing that you should be aware of is that although it is listed as a 4 bedroom, it isn’t, it is a 3 bedroom. This resulted in my husband and our two boys having to unexpectedly share a room with my sister and her friend (which is really no problem for us, but I assume it could be a problem for other families).

Nice Beach house / Great location

This beach house was everything we expected and more, it was steps away from the beach and and a big balcony to sit outside and watch the waves. My family of 7 had plenty of room and everyone had a good time. I dealt with Matt when setting up the rental and he was awesome, answered any questions quick and had great customer service. I will say the only con of staying at this particular beach house is that the owner of the house watches you through their security camera on the balcony. I would most definitely stay here again and just cover or unplug the balcony camera the next time.

Cute House, too hot

The house is cute and very nicely equipped. Location right next to beach is excellent. We left a day early because we couldn’t sleep well- the AC couldn’t keep the home cool enough for indoor comfort. Maybe bring extra fans if you can. The mosquitos on the walk from the property to the beach were very intense- clouds of them. Maybe because of recent storms. I would bring lots of repellant. We were unaware that the local water situation was not potable. This house has a reverse osmosis system at the kitchen sink, which is a very nice feature. but had we known about the water ahead of time we would have been able to bring our own bottled as well.

Review

House was clean and they did a good job with remodel. My complaint is that the owner has a NEST thermostat and continuously changes it to the middle 70s. Also the refrigerator and the microwave are both very small. Lastly, there are cameras on the patio and grilling area, which seems a little creepy since you are at the beach and most ppl are wearing bathing suits.
