Beautiful remodeled mountain, lakefront home in Sapphire, NC. Includes amenities to Sapphire Valley Resort and location near 100s of miles of hiking trails. Cahsiers/Sapphire are is home to many beautiful waterfalls and all the great destinations of the western North Carolina mountains.

Wonderful lake-view, lower deck and fire pit, see photos!

*Recently upgraded high-speed internet! We got rid of the slow satellite link system and upgraded to recently offered fiber-optic based system that is true high-speed and a HUGE improvement!

Quiet, serene location... no motorized boat traffic on the lake and although minutes to Hwy 64, absolutely no road traffic noise can be heard. Just the birds, frogs and crickets :)

Mountain lake view from your dining table and all bedrooms, go kayaking, canoeing and fishing from your dock. Many renowned, mountain golf courses nearby and guest access to Sapphire Valley Master Association activities. Of course Sapphire/Cashiers area is waterfall paradise, with multiple beautiful falls nearby to enjoy after short to medium hike.

The cabin has 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and now also a sofa bed available in loft/office area.

*Pets welcome for $50 fee.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The house was nicely decorated and very comfortable but the views were the star of the show. The view of the lake was just beautiful. My husband and friend spent an entire day on the lake canoeing and then relaxing by the fire pit. One word of caution: the house is perched on a hillside so there are many steps getting to the fire pit and the dock. It’s not a problem if you are in fairly good shape. My husband and I are 70 and 71 and had no problem.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lake house in the mountains! The lake view was stunning, and we loved having the kayaks and firepit to enjoy the outdoors. The house was very clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. Communication with the host was excellent, and the whole experience was so relaxing and peaceful. Highly recommend!

Everything was perfect except our bed had boogers on the pillow and dirt in the bed. We had to wash everything immediately. Seemed like a cleaner just remade a bed rather than washing it.

The house was very nice and spotless. It offered easy access to Cashiers and Highlands. The lake was just the right size for some paddling and fishing. Communication with Drew was good. Our only issues were the 165 steps or so to the dock, we couldn’t get our Ford Edge down the driveway and there is literally no yard to walk your pets in.

Amazing and beautiful home with so many wonderful places to hang out. The interior was very well appointed. The colors, the lighting, the dimmer switches, the well-appointed kitchen, and the views from every window made for a beatiful time. Super comfortable furniture and bed. It was just two of us and this just perfect. The photos show it as it us but the experience was so much better. A truly lovely home. We even bought the same chairs they have by the fire pit for our fire area. Amazing!

I stayed here with my husband and dog. The pictures don’t do the house justice. The house is beautiful and tastefully decorated. It’s also way bigger than it appears in the listing. We had so much space, and it was fantastic. The outside part with the dock and fire pit is beautiful, and the daily view of the lake was one of the highlights. We stayed mid September just before peak Fall so it was very quiet and low key. We took daily walks in the neighborhood which was beautiful and quiet. There are lots of steps to navigate to get in and out of the house so that’s something for people to keep in mind if they have mobility issues, but it’s a lake side house on the side of a mountain so that should not be a surprise. My husband and I enjoyed our relaxing and peaceful week here, and we would definitely stay again in a heart beat. The host was easily available via the VRBO messenger. I’m already planning a trip for next year.

Beautiful home, set up very nicely!Everything you need and very clean.Drip coffee pot.Peaceful view of lake.Screened patio for coffee in morning.My family enjoyed the canoe and kayaks.Perfect place to get out on the water!Made some s’mores at the fire pit.We hiked the rainbow and turtle back falls, Whiteside mountain.Both hikes a bit more strenuous than we are use to but so worth it.Enjoyed Cashiers Farmers market. El Manzanillo has terrific Mexican food, super friendly staff.Sat on the patio at Micas enjoyed a nice early dinner.The Pizza is delicious.The house is in a great location for day trips to so many places.We had a superb meal at The Blind Mule in Brevard!I will say there are a lot of steps, would not recommend for elderly/handicapped.Thanks for the great memories.

The property was what we expected and as promoted, clean and in good order. Check-in was seamless, and the kitchen, WiFi, etc., worked well. With the inclement weather most of our stay, we did not use the fire pit.

Gorgeous lake views and beautiful home

This is a marvelous place to unwind, regroup, and just leave the rest of the world behind. The lake, the trees, the total lack of street noise, make you feel like you’ve really taken a step back from the day to day grind.The house itself is lovely and impeccably maintained. My small group chose to stay close to home and soak up all the relaxation the place offered. We left feeling rested and rejuvenated, having spent four days and nights enjoying good views, fresh air, a few spectacular storms, and wonderful food shared among friends.One note for those it might affect – the pics clearly show the stairs down to the dock and since two of my party of four have some mobility issues, we were aware that not everyone would choose to make the trek. But there’s also the stairs from the driveway to the house. The bottom third or so has no handrails and is a bit uneven. There was one fall taken that probably contributed to our decision to stay in rather than exploring more. Still, this won’t be an issue for most.It's a beautiful home and I would highly recommend it.

NC Getaway

The house was a great layout. Good sized rooms and a newer kitchen. The dock and kayaks were nice. We enjoyed the lake and view of it from the house. The only issue was the bed in the master squeaked anytime you moved. Probably needs to be replaced. Great trip!

Relaxing and enjoyable family vacation

Our family trip to Sapphire was full of adventure to waterfalls, kayaking, great restaurants, and relaxing at the nearby resort’s indoor pool/ hot tub. The house is on a lake that does not allow loud boats so the kayaking was smooth. One of the bedrooms had a private balcony and my adult daughters appreciated the other bedrooms with a full bath for each person. The owners were very communicative and helped make the vacation perfect!

Amazing Lake house

I can’t say enough about how amazing this property is. It was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view. The owner thought of everything! Anything you might need during your stay, the property owner made sure to provide it. We would love to stay again!

Cozy getaway

We had a small family get together and had a great time. The home was in a beautiful location on a quiet lake and was perfect for our group. It was clean and well kept, and was close by to lots of outdoor activities as well as restaurants and pubs. We enjoyed the fire pit and kayaks as well. Would definitely stay again

A nice getaway in the mountains

Stayed a week with another couple. Kayaking, waterboarding (brought our own) and eating at several of the fine area restaurants. The evenings and days were cool and comfortable and the house was as advertised. Check in was easy, but it might be a good idea to print directions before you get there. Cell service is pretty sketchy near the cottage.
