Beautiful remodeled mountain, lakefront home in Sapphire, NC. Includes amenities to Sapphire Valley Resort and location near 100s of miles of hiking trails. Cahsiers/Sapphire are is home to many beautiful waterfalls and all the great destinations of the western North Carolina mountains.

Wonderful lake-view, lower deck and fire pit, see photos!

*Recently upgraded high-speed internet! We got rid of the slow satellite link system and upgraded to recently offered fiber-optic based system that is true high-speed and a HUGE improvement!

Quiet, serene location... no motorized boat traffic on the lake and although minutes to Hwy 64, absolutely no road traffic noise can be heard. Just the birds, frogs and crickets :)

Mountain lake view from your dining table and all bedrooms, go kayaking, canoeing and fishing from your dock. Many renowned, mountain golf courses nearby and guest access to Sapphire Valley Master Association activities. Of course Sapphire/Cashiers area is waterfall paradise, with multiple beautiful falls nearby to enjoy after short to medium hike.

The cabin has 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and now also a sofa bed available in loft/office area.

*Up to two Pets welcome for $125 fee.

We had an incredible stay here. Beds were comfortable, just the right amount of space, and well located with easy access to trails and Cashiers/Highlands. The grill, fire pit, and dock were all so appreciated and put to good use! Will absolutely be back, highly recommend for anyone looking to get away and just enjoy some quality time with nature and family.

A very peaceful stay with nice lake views and tranquil paddling. Especially enjoyed the fire pit down by the lake and the numerous sitting deck locations. The steps back up to the house gave us some exercise between enjoying the various sitting decks.

Great property right on the lake. Home was clean and tidy, beds very comfortable. The lake is very pretty, but there are many steps to get down there. Also there are some steps to get up and down to the house, so if you have heavy luggage you’ll have to carry it up and down some stairs. The house had everything we needed, and the kayaks were a great added bonus to our vacation. I had 3 kids with us and they all enjoyed our time at the house. The home is at the end of a quiet street with very little traffic passing by. Owner was very easy to communicate with.

We had an amazing stay at this cabin on Hogback Lake. The property was clean, spacious and perfect for our family of four. The host, Drew, was friendly and very responsive. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking and swimming in the lake. Further, the property is close to all of the Sapphire amenities, several great hikes and waterfalls and Cashiers. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a lake stay in Sapphire!

Great location between a bunch of great trails and waterfalls. Plenty to do or nothing to do all works out well. The house is very comfortable and spacious. The lake is peaceful and open enough for a quick trip out on the water. We really enjoyed our time and the house!

The property was amazing! We loved our stay and will be rebooking at this property in the future. The only note I have is that this property has a TON of stairs (107 to be exact) in the back of the house to access the lake, which the pictures don’t accurately reflect. If you have a condition that prevents you from doing a lot of stairs, this isn’t the right location for you.

This was perfect for our weekend trip. The only suggestion I would make is to let visitors know of the steps you have to walk down to the front door. With suitcases it was a struggle down and back up. We had a wonderful while we were there.

Lovely lake house. We had a wonderful time. The beds are super comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed for making meals. Owners take very good care of the property. The lake is deep and water is clear - great for swimming. Fishing from the dock so much fun for kids - lots of sunfish jumping. And grandpa even caught a largemouth bass! Hogback Lake is serene - almost as if we had the entire lake to ourselves. Very few others were on the water. We would definitely consider a return vacation.

This was an amazing cabin and in a great location. The host was amazing. We couldn’t figure out the fireplace and they had their handyman over right away to help us. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lake house in the mountains! The lake view was stunning, and we loved having the kayaks and firepit to enjoy the outdoors. The house was very clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. Communication with the host was excellent, and the whole experience was so relaxing and peaceful. Highly recommend!

The property was great! All necessities were provided and is well maintained. Close to numerous waterfalls and hiking trails. A good selection of restaurants are in the area. Will definitely book property again if we return to the area.
