The property location is great with a really nice lake view. The checkin process asked every persons name and age for the “guard at the gate”… however there is no guard or gate and the house can be accessed easily by following gps. In general, we enjoyed this stay, but a few things can be improved for a better guest experience. There were LOTS of bees and wasps in the backyard due to a nest that we saw around the wooden swing. The bees made it impossible to spend more than a few minutes outside as they were immediately attracted to our drinks, food, and whatever else. The property should have been sprayed regularly or at least before we arrived as we had a bee allergy in the group and were nervous any time that person stepped outside. I tried to sit on the dock and had 3 bees come to me within a few minutes making me leave immediately. Totally understand nature is nature, but this wasn’t one little bee… it was dozens. The dock was covered in cob webs, needs a general clean. The MIL suite is very damp and muggy. The Keurig did not work at all. Only 2 kitchen towels were provided for a house with 6 bedrooms and 2 kitchens, need more. General items that we’ve seen in just about all the cabins we’ve stayed in were Not provided here to our disappointment. No conditioner, no lotion, no tissues, no foil or plastic wrap in the kitchen, No gas in the gas grill, no charcoal for other grill, both grills were very dirty. Generally, at this price point, should have been better.
