Cozy 1500 square foot Shelton Cottage!

3 bedroom, 1.5 bath. A three minute walk to the local convince store, auto repair shop, and post office! A five minute walk to the bank and city park! We have a large yard for responsible pet owners.

Shelton is located 20 miles from Kearney and 20 miles from Grand Island. You can easily get to Kearney or Grand Island by using Hwy30 which is a minute drive from this location or use I-80 which is a 5 minute drive from the cottage.

Good stay, beautiful house with well appointed rooms. The water, however, smelled of sulphur terribly whenever we showered or washed dishes. Apart from the water, a great stay!

Shelton Stay

Well maintained, clean house. Good location for our purpose. Easy drive to bird watching locations. Quiet, small town. Included all the amenities we needed for a few days stay.

Relaxing stay in small town

Cottage was larger than pictures with plenty of room to relax and dine. I enjoyed walking my pooch through the neighbor and viewing the lovely homes through out. Perfect distance to see the sandhill cranes in the fields and viewing facilities, Kearney State Park, A.Rowe sanctuary and Crane Preserve. Would definitely return.

Grandaughters Wedding

Perfect location to the wedding venue. There was a mix-up of double booking, but it turned out great that the hostess got us a motel reservation in the same hotel as other family members. The next day we arrived at the house midafternoon and left the next morning. It was so nice we wished we could have stayed another night.

Sand Hill Crane Getaway

Exactly as described in ad. Well maintained. Very adequately stocked. Excellent response from property manager/owner when a tv issue arose - fixed immediately. Would highly recommend; would certainly re-book!!

Such a sweet house!

Amber's house is so clean and well-appointed. It's like visiting Grandma's house. She communicates quickly and we were able to book another day so we could travel to Shelton before weather came in. We were family plus a boyfriend and a my dog and everyone was comfortable and happy. Highly recommend - wish we could just live there all the time.

Charming Home Away from Home

Charming old home with lots of updates, close to Grand Island. Exactly what we needed for a family trip to NE for a extra long weekend. Better than staying in a hotel. Able to cook meals in a fully equipped kitchen to help cut down on costs of eating out. All amenities worked great. Home had lots of space and was very clean. Neighborhood was quiet. Park was close by. Would definitely stay there again if we had the opportunity to do so.

Little House On the Prairie

The house was perfect for our three night stay. It was comfortable (lots of pillows!), quiet, and had easy access to the the sites we needed to visit. We had an issue with WiFi at check in but it was resolved by morning. There is a great supermarket named Larry’s right around the corner that carried everything we needed for our stay.

State Baseball

House was in a quite neighborhood. Park with a swimming pool and a splash pad within walking distance. When I was looking for the grill I messaged host to ask, and was informed that it was recently damaged. Host was qick to have a new grill delivered to house.

Great Location for a Sandhill Crane Vacation

We visited to see the Sandhill Crane migration. This property is centrally located for that purpose and convenient to Kearney and Grand Island. The owner has done a nice job of updating and decorating this comfortable older house. We were provided with coffee enough for our stay and other necessities. We did not expect a frequently used railroad to be about a block away, but did get used to it. If you plan a stay here and want to use the flat-screen TV, you will need to bring your own streaming device, i.e. ROKU. Per the host, there is no cable and as far as we could tell it is not a smart TV.
