Condo #5 The Chinook @ Joe Creek Condos

Located in the heart of the cozy town of Pacific Beach and just a brief walk to the sandy beach about a block away. Nothing is better than a typically quiet town with the sounds of the waves in the background.

This newly remodeled and updated 8 condo complex has the perfect mix of history and modern day. Visit the office or read through the calendars in each condo. Surprising how this stretch of beach, villages and towns developed into what is now known as the North Beach. The nearby Museum of the North Beach also has an abundance of historical information.

A quick glimpse into yesteryear: This area was originally settled in 1863 by Henry Blodgett, a pioneer trapper and hunter. Later, he gave a portion of his 160 acres to P.H. Roundtree. In 1903, Mr. Roundtree began platting the townsite and named it Joe Creek, after the nearby creek. Later, the name was changed to Pacific Beach.

The new courtyard has two new hot tubs, a conversation area surrounding a propane fire, all covered by gazebos (also screened and solid curtains) for use 365 days a year! There are also 2 charcoal BBQs and 1 charcoal smoker. Please bring your own charcoal. Children must be supervised at all times. Dogs are not allowed in the courtyard for safety and sanitary reasons.

Dog friendly! New owners live on site. Life is just better at the beach!

Cute & cozy condo within blocks to beach!

My mom & I had the most amazing, relaxing weekend staying at the beautiful Joe Creek Condos. The place is so cozy & comfortable with dreamy beach hued decor and an absolutely ideal location! Great place to stay! Super clean. Location is close to the ocean. There is a cute coffee shop around the corner that is open every day and is connected to a dinner place that is open on the weekends.

Great host experience

The host was so wonderful both before and during our stay. We loved the hot tubs after long walks on the beach and having a covered space for them as well as the out door covered seating by fire place was great. We will definitely return to this space again.

Great condos for our family steps away from the beach

This condo was exactly as advertised and the perfect fit for our family of four. My kids, ages 9 and 3, loved the accommodations, and the common area downstairs with a grill and hot tub was the ideal place for us to convene each evening after a day at the beach. The condos' location is close enough that families can walk with gear to spend a full day at the beach or come back and forth throughout the day for breaks. We will be back for sure!

Relaxing weekend

We loved the history of this property! The space was light filled & very welcoming. I cooked a meal, finding everything I needed, & we enjoyed it on a nice sized table. The common area was awesome! We used the hot tub & we could see a future trip using one of the bbq grills available. Our hosts were very nice & available 👍!

Great beach place!

Our room was clean, and nicely equipped. All of the basic kitchen items, plus toaster, coffee pot, and keurig. There was plenty of coffee and tea supplies. Nice to have a few bonuses such as ziplock bags and plastic wrap. Very easy walk to the beach. We used the hot tub both nights, and the courtyard area is very nice.

An enjoyable stay

Weather could have been better, but can't blame that on the hosts. Took advantage of the hot tub daily, which was nice. Only slight disappointment was that we got the impression from the ad (perhaps our own fault) that the bedroom was closed off from the dining/kitchen area. Since we like to go to bed a bit later than our kids, this is something we typically look for when we're staying somewhere. Otherwise, great hosts, and very responsive, thanks!

Easter weekend

This stay was a gift for my grown son’s Birthday. I wanted to thank the owners of this condo for a wonderful stay. They stayed for three days over Easter. Our Grandaughter even received a Easter surprise from them! We all enjoyed the hot tub several times a day. The new hot tubs were really soothing and clean! Very cute decor and kitchen was well stocked with essentials. Thanks again!

Clean & Bright

The condo was clean and bright and welcoming. We are glad we stayed there. It's a short walk to the beach, which is part of why we chose that location. You should know that this is a pet-friendly condo - we heard barking one morning at 6:30 a.m. and throughout the day. Just something to be aware of.

Overall...meh.

Our stay at Joe Creek was overall a step up from a hotel. The location was great, close to beach, coffee shop and small pub. It was quiet, and access to the beach was very close. That being said, a few things were off. There was no "aha" special feeling about the place. Then there were stains on the sheets in both beds and one of them smeared as we tried to see what it was. And the fridge was not wiped down, with a drip of something going down the handle. We called the owner, and at least was responsive ,changed the sheets ( although one new set had a stain as well), but made excuses of long term guests, and her housecleaners eyesight. Pros: Location and beach access. Cons: Cleanliness, no attention to detail, just not that special. We would not use them again.

Perfectly Imperfect & Dog Friendly

Updated vintage vibe-adorable. Dated building with charming "lipstick & rouge" updated decor. We liked the old stone brick walls. The linens felt and smelled nice. Comfortable bed. The wall heaters are beyond adequate, in fact we didn't need to keep them on much. Super hot water for shower & dishes. As the listing says-definately load up on groceries before your arrival. They had just the right touches of 4 spices, foil, strange wrap, oil, coffee, dry creamer & sugar. Owner offered that they have extra kitchen tools such as griddles and crock pots if you ask. Wifi worked great. We brought slippers for the floors since we don't wear our sandy beach shoes inside. It's an absolute must to drive thru Seabrook one mile away. We will be back. If you aren't looking for a 5 star resort [which you aren't paying for and it's not advertised as that] you gotta book it.

Super clean, caring responsive hosts, and jacuzzi a great option!

Everything went very smooth with check-in and was very clean with every amenity you would need or want (even dog bowels and dog towels). Very quiet town with not much to do but relax, take beach walks, watch sunsets, and sit in the hot tub. We had a family emergency and had to cut our trip short. Without asking, the gracious hosts offered a credit for our remaining nights. So generous and I appreciate their family values and compassion. I would come back next week if I had the time!

Why visit this property? For us, it means peace, serenity, calm. An opportunity to enjoy the vast ocean, the crashing waves, the clean sandy beach. We love relaxing here and spending time alone as well as sharing with family and friends. Kick up your heels in the sand like a child or kick back with a beverage and enjoy the view. Life is just better at the beach.

New on site owners and managers. The office is open daily with 24 hour urgent & emergency numbers. Remodel with many updates just completed including a brand new courtyard with two self sanitizing hot tubs and a comfy conversation area surrounding a propane fire ... all snuggled under gorgeous curtained gazebos. Available to use 365 days per year, rain or shine! Children must be supervised at all times. Dogs are not allowed in the courtyard for safety and sanitary reasons.

Typically, the beach is lightly populated with public access just a short 2 minute walk away and then 70 steps to the sand. Walk down to the beach or load your lunch and beach toys into the car and use the public access where you can drive onto the beach!

During clamming seasons, the "Mocrocks" beach is open right in front of this home with Copalis Beach nearby! Check out the WDFW website for rules and dates! https://wdfw.wa.gov/
